Serge, the main character of Chrono Cross, is a simple swallow-wielding young man from Arni village who is suddenly thrown in a turbillion that involves the world, time and dimensions, ultimately awakening to his role in the planet's dream. He is determined and gentle - albeit silent. His main role in battle is dishing out powerful damage with Dash and Slash and being overall solid.

In the DL, Serge's history is vast. After many seasons avoiding a downgrade from Godlike, he managed to beat the demon Geshp to the surprise of many, in a display of much youthful spirit. The namesake became Serge's DL trademark due to his nigh-unthinkable upset, and he carries it even after downgrading from Godlike in season 14.
