Season 22, Week 2
Presea Combatir
(Tales of Symphonia)

Presea comes to the arena with much more experience than her frame suggests, but she'll need all of it to tackle a former Godlike. A truly fierce battle lies ahead. Axe will meet swallow in a dance of death; bursts of energy will fly; the ultimate conflict between youth and maturity will be waged. In the end, it is Presea’s stamina, so incongruous with her appearance, that will withstand every trial, outlasting even Serge’s incredible willpower and ending the match in a glorious victory for little girls everywhere.

The light of Arni makes his triumphant return! The young fisherman Serge has his dreams and the legendary Mastermune in hand on his quest to conquer Heavy and return to the hallowed Godlike division that was once his home. He will begin his run by putting a premature stop to that of the little robot girl Presea Combatir, who, while powerful, is just too slow to handle Serge. She's nothing that Dash & Slash and a few Mastermune swings can't handle, right? Youthful spirit is ready and rarin' to go!

If you don't vote Presea, you have never read the Tortoise and the Hare.

Presea Combatir: 29
Serge: 22

I really, really hate to vote against Serge in his debut Heavy match, but Presea can just hit him in the face with an axe really hard. I mean, seriously... how do you argue with that?

Pow Hammer DX >>> Mastermune. Can a legendary sword stop a giant red mallet? Hell no.

Amusing as a little girl swinging a big axe is, the swallow doesn't really compliment it very well visually. So, since it was going to be a really boring match anyway, why not settle it in non-violent fashion.
At some point a staring contest was suggested, and both being emotionless freaks of nature, it was quickly agreed to.
Sadly for Presea, Serge has had a great deal of experience in not flinching in the face of... anything, actually, there's basically nothing in the realm of remotest possibility that Serge wasn't subjected to by Chrono Cross' plot. Presea, meanwhile, needed outside help from a Cruxius Crystal to manage the worst of what happened to her.
As such, when the moniters flashed over to the Creamonade going off and nailing Arena M3, where Marle and Scholtenheim Reinbach III were fighting, she couldn't hold back the screams of terror. Which, sadly, have a tendancy to make a person blink. As such, Serge won, Presea spent a few weeks in the Irreversable Mental Damage ward (which was working overtime), and a very abashed and humiliated Zelos got beatings he may well never forget when she finally stopped having night terrors.
