Season 10, Week 1
Serge
(Chrono Cross)

Serge has shown that not speaking and carrying a big swallow can be effective in battle. His strength is proof of that. But this week, he faces off against an opponent who can both outhit him. If Serge wants to win, he'll have to go all out against Geshp's less-than-godly defense and rely on his decent all-around stats to stay alive between rounds. It won't be easy, but with Dash and Slash fueling his offense, it's certainly doable for the Arni youth.

Greater Devil Geshp returns to Godlike for a second time, looking for his first victory. His strategy for the fight will nevertheless be incredibly simple: cast Freeze 4 on his foe until he drops. It doesn't sound like it, but with Geshp's terrific magical power and speed that lets him get two turns to the average warrior's one, this is in fact a brutal strategy, and one which should see Geshp through to the next round.

Zenthor
Against all logic, no matter how much of a blow-out something might be expected, no matter how garanteed something might seem, nothing is 100%, but merely a 99.999...%. Thus was the epic battle of Serge vs. Geshp.

As the battle began, the combatants didn't move. They didn't have time. Somewhere in the arena, an infamous 1d1000 was rolled.

Click, click, click.... 1000. The improbable happened. Serge won against an opponent he could not beat, by a roll of the dice.

How did this dice roll effect this match, might you ask? Easy.

A wizard did it.
