Week 2 - Eliminations

Rashidi (OB) Rashidi vs Lynx Lynx (CC)

superaielman
Hah. Rashidi's Jihad spell is just the thing to utterly wreck the dark aligned Lynx, and the Wiseman's parastic healing and speed will render Lynx's own offense moot. Perhaps Lynx will learn to not challenge his betters after this beating.

Rashidi: 20
Lynx: 8

Zeal, Queen (CT) Zeal, Queen vs Guido Guido (Pers2)

Guruuvu no Akujin
I have to go with Guido, though Zeal is pretty strong for Chrono Trigger standards. That says veruy little of course. One time god and one time posessed of the ultimate evil seems to edge out a victory. Plus, he wears those stupid sunglasses all the damn time and he really knows how to screw with reality.

Zeal, Queen: 12
Guido: 16

Ramirez (SoA) Ramirez vs Tir McDohl Tir McDohl (Suikos)

Nanashi
I... can't think of a way to justify my vote for Tir. Maybe he can possibly doubleturn and win with a pair of Judgment spells?

Fine. Ramirez wins. I know he wins, you know he wins, even Ramirez himself can figure this out without Galcian telling him so.

*sigh* Why can't Tir get a decent draw for once?

Ramirez: 24
Tir McDohl: 10

superaielman
Silver Tundra, or Enterum? Whichever option Ramirez chooses, it leads to a very dead Tir.

Droguza (AtL4) Droguza vs Mewtwo Mewtwo (PKMN)

Meeplelard
Droguza and Mewtwo are very similar. Both are genetically enhanced beings, both are part of a fictional race, and both are incredibly intelligent with immense powers...

However, there is one difference:
Droguza's mind is no different from Cloud's, in that he has a bunch of false memories, and doesn't know a damn thing about himself
Mewtwo, being a psychic, takes this to his advantage, and fills in some "gaps" of Droguza's mind, by giving him false memories of what inspired him to become strong, or more specifically, how he was a nerd in Elementary School who got picked on for his lunch money...

Wasn't too long til Droguza broke down crying, thus giving Mewtwo the win...

Droguza: 2
Mewtwo: 24

Rapp (G1) Rapp vs Lenus Lenus (LoD)

Guruuvu no Akujin
Sorry to say I think Lenus has this one down. Some of Rapp's abilities are pretty damn strong, but he'll run out of SP before he can get too far. They're not enough to overcome boss HP like this, anyway, and assuming that Sword levels and fire levels aren't factored in.....his Wit won't save him. 'Sides, he'll probably be caught off guard whilst his fingers work diligently in his smell-hole.

Rapp: 4
Lenus: 27

Rydia (FF4) Rydia vs Lulu Lulu (FFX)

Kanos
Lulu is basically Rydia plus insanely good defense.

Rydia: 15
Lulu: 36

Sofia (DW4) Sofia vs Mario Mario (SMRPG)

Meeplelard
You know how you can determine Sofia is stronger than Mario?

The fact is, as we know, Silence = Wisdom.

Thus, Wisdom = Knowledge
Cliche Phrase states Knowledge is Power!

Well, Mario kept silent for so long, but the instant he yelled those infamous "Itsa me, Mario!", any thoughts of Mario having Wisdom were flushed down the toilet, and since Sofia managed to keep her mouth shut til this very day, says something about her.

Sofia: 19
Mario: 17

Drachma (SoA) Drachma vs Meis Meis (TA)

Sage Acrin
*One hour before the match...*

"What did I say wrong?" Meis Triumph asked.

"Say!? You tried to grab my butt, and when I smacked you, you tried sweet-talking me! Now get out of my sight!" With that last addition, Aika kicked Meis in the chest, knocking him across the room, and into a wall.

Forunatly for Meis, while the impact from this was large, Aika isn't a very strong person, so he wasn't particularly hurt by this...

*One hour later.*

"Hmph. Where's that boy I'm supposed to be fighting?" A annoyed Drachma wondered.

*A high pitched scream is heard from the other end of the DL Arena, and the sound of a large amount of wind moving is heard. Shortly after, a worse-for-the-wear Meis Triumph emerges from the far entrance to the arena.*

"Geez, everyone here's so violent. Why do you wear a scanty yellow bikini everywhere if you don't expect comments on it? I'm just lucky that wind attack of hers missed me..."

*A loud gong sound is heard across the arena, and the announcers declare the match started. Smiling slightly, Drachma pulls in a barrier of energy.*

"What the heck does that do?" A puzzled Meis wondered. "Ah, well. Time to summon. Sodine!"

*Several moments later, a nearly unphased Drachma smiled across the arena at Meis.* "Hmmpph. That all you have?" "What!? You can't shrug off the most powerful force in my world that easily!?" "Why not?"

*Up in the stands...*

"INTERFERENCE!" A annoyed Aika screamed out. "Sodine is-mmphm!"

"Aika! You know what they do to people who spoil games here!" Vyse exclaimed.

"But she's-Mmph! Stop that!"

"Look down there at her." Vyse directed, pointing to a very loud young girl near the front row, covered in a black gummy substance and what appeared to be feathers. "And all she did was spoil Star Ocean 3's ending, and was totally wrong in every detail of it."

"I thought it was Precis' voice that got her tarred and feathered..." Mumbled a nearby Gilder, wincing at a particularly loud shout from the girl.

"But I have to do something!" Yelled Aika, annoyed at her companion's obtuseness, and ran off.

"...Oh, no, don't tell me she has another plan..." Vyse groaned.

*On the field...*

"Hah. Those summons of yours just aren't enough, boy." Drachma stated. "Now, to finish you off." Drachma started charging energy into his mechanical hand, clearly about to use his infamous Hand of Fate...

"Arrghlomph!" Meis groaned, as Aika, who evidently had taken a running leap off of one of the arena's sets of stairs, landed largely on his head, feet first, driving him to the ground and knocking him unconcious.

"That'll show you, you pervert." Aika stated with satisfaction...and then noticed the entire arena staring at her in shock.

"What? I'm a summon!" Aika stated. "What, why is everyone staring at me like that, don't you believe me...? Hey, captain, tell them!" She said, to the utterly stunned Drachma.

"Winner...of the match...is...Meis Triumph, due to the other side's interference..." A stunned judge announced.

"Girl...you had better run." Drachma stated, coldly staring at Aika. "But I didn't do anything wrong! Why is everyone so ma-hey, put me down Captain, hey! What those people doing with that pot full of tar? Hey, no! VYSE! HEEELLPPP!"

Fortunatly for Meis, this means he'll be going on to the next round.

Unfortunatly, it means he'll have several dozen broken bones which will have to heal naturally. Since a unfortunatly large population of the DL's healers/clerics/priests are female, and he happened to hit on them all, which, in turn, annoyed them all into staying away from him...

Drachma: 12
Meis: 14

Monkeyfinger
Talk to the hand, bizzle-notch.

Hanzou (SF1) Hanzou vs Kasumi Kasumi (Suikos)

Sage Acrin
The fact is, this is a simple match, as any number of bad movies shows.

You see, Hanzou's a fairly generic ninja.

In pretty much any bad movie, they get easily pummled down by some generic hero. This also applies to bad video games.

The female ninja, on the other hand, are always stronger than usual, and are often on the side of good. Either way, they end up alive at the end of games and movies more.

You do the math.

Hanzou: 16
Kasumi: 17

Zhuzhen Liu (SH1) Zhuzhen Liu vs Miranda Miranda (LoD)

superaielman
Zhuzhen attempts some hands on magical practice with Kasumi.

The White Silver Dragon he got in response was more than enough to cure him of his interest in Miranda. And also his memory of the rest of the day, as the blow knocked him out cold.

Zhuzhen Liu: 11
Miranda: 19

Kimahri Ronso (FFX) Kimahri Ronso vs Peco Peco (BoF3)

Dunefar
Ronso strong."

"Ronso hungry."

"Ronso like...onion." Buuuuurp!

---

And that, as we say, was that. Well, after the Jibril rulings were consulted about a contestant being eaten whole.

Kimahri Ronso: 27
Peco: 18

Taloon (DW4) Taloon vs Enrique Enrique (SoA)

superaielman
The Judgement is a move that shouldn't see much use in middle. Taloon's lack of offense combined with his speed mean that Enrique has time to get his best attack off.

Which means that the crafty merchant got his time in the sun in Valua's arena.

Taloon: 4
Enrique: 24

Randi (SoM) Randi vs Kiwi Kiwi (SF2)

superaielman
Randi has every needed edge for a win here. He's tankier than Kiwi can ever hope to be, and his damage from a level eight charge will split the turtle in two.

On the bright side, at least Kiwi managed to scorch Randi's armor.

Randi: 21
Kiwi: 9

Ganz (AtL4) Ganz vs Claude Claude (SF2)

superaielman
Typical Shining Force luck.

Claude runs into a fighter with a counter stance. And healing. ARG. At least he fared better than Kiwi, who took a brutal beating from Randi.

Ganz: 13
Claude: 12

Cinna (FF9) Cinna vs Lufia Lufia (Lufia1)

Broc
Lufia's jaw dropped, her staff clattered to the floor.
"What is it?" she wondered. She let out a gasp and there was a momentary pause before realization dawned on her. "It's a pig? I'm supposed to face a PIG!?!"
Embracing both her own as well as Erim's power, Cinna soon was roasting over the BBQ pit, apple in mouth while Lufia celebrated her victory.

Cinna: 5
Lufia: 33

Zell Dincht (FF8) Zell Dincht vs Etna Etna (Disgaea)

Starphoenix das Helpoemer
Zell, master of the "Armageddon Fist" (aka, Limit Spamming), if gotten off, he stands to destroy some of the hardier duelists in the RPG DL.

Etna, mistress of darkness and slave master of the Prinnies, she commands respect and wit. With a decent spear (Points to Longinus, who can be received through extensive spear training), Etna could be a force to be reckoned with.

So, which two of these duelists makes the other quake with fear? Who wins and goes on for possible fame and glory?

Ah, **** it. *Goes to flip a coin, but lacks one at the moment* >_> *Goes and flips a Yu Gi Oh card about 5 times* >_> *Votes Zell*

Zell Dincht: 21
Etna: 19

Guruuvu no Akujin
Well, this is a really hard....ETNA. Zell has the power of being a complete freaking moron on his side. That's about it. Assuming that Guardian Forces aren't allowed, he can't do any damage. As long as Etna avoids a properly executed limit (which shouldn't be hard) the fight will be over in a few moves with a victory for her.

Season 10 Awards
In your opinion, what was the best moment of Season 10?
~RPGDL Staff

metroid composite
Godlike champions rise and fall. Light has frickin' Jogurt in it to hand the most unbelievably weak fighters a win, but there were three events this season that will stay with us forever. Three events that will swim in our thoughts (or our nightmares depending) for years to come.

First: Morte, because even if Chisato wanted to, she probably couldn't unglue the skull from her desk.

Second: Serge winning a match in Godlike. The event which nobody thought possible, and nobody predicted. The event which subsequently caused a few of vets to vote for Serge against *Ghaleon* joking about his "uber youthful spirit". We may never look at Serge the same way again....

Third: Jogurt ceasing to be Overlord, but that event wasn't nominated so...I'm probably overstating how memorable it is.

All in all, News articles and comics are at the whim of the creator. But Serge...Serge transcends the realm of control. The FBI can't stop him! Interpol can't hold him in a cell! Dawn from Buffy the Vampire Slayer can't make him scream or weep! Paris Hilton can't make him get inside her pants! Serge is the epitome of chaos, the epitome of unreadability, the epitome of silent mains everywhere!

In the immortal words of Serge, "..."

Serge wins a match: 16
Morte joins BtS roster: 6
Albedo beats Ghaleon and Kuja: 9
Menardi downgrades to Heavy: 5
BoF3 Nina wins two matches: 11

Blargarific@hotmail.com
I know very well Serge will never win but damn it man, he has blue hair! That has to give him something! Anything!

Grefter
Funniest use of Nina 3 images ever.

Guruuvu no Akujin
Special Moment- NINA. WINS. My god! Who would have thought it was possible? Nina4, sure! Nina1 or 2, even, and certainly Nina5. But 3? 3! Wins? WINS! Methinks Deis must've been supporting her from the stands. Sorry Morte, but this is significantly more......impossible.

MepMep
Voted Menardi just because season 2 made me sick... glad to see justice.

Not Veryslightlymad. I swear! >_>
Bah. 2 best moments votes in a row, and not one of them had the glorious adventures of Face as an option?! That's madness! Everyone loves Face, isn't that right guys?

"Yeah! YEAH! We love Face"
"Face forever!"
"I have to go to the bathroom!"
"Faaaaaaaaaace!"

See? See? The people agree. >_>
