Is true that there is Mako DLC in ME2?

Overlord is fine, good gameplay.  There are of course some odd things in the plotting, but not too much worse than your average head-scratching-if-you-think-about-it sci-fi plot point.

A) Autistic people can talk with robots, because, you know, autism is like magic or something.
B) There's a part of Overlord that invokes the classic horror trope of going through a deserted, spooky, abandoned ship with unactivated death robots on the way in...  and you can guess what it'll be like on the way out.  Except.  In just the previous section you already *fought* the rogue Geth, so, uh, it's not really a shocking surprise when these turn on.  Buh.  Stick this segment in FIRST.
C) Cerberus still has weird personnel policies.  You'd think that a scientist who got his staff killed and his installation blown up would, if not be immediately executed, would get some extreme torture as his punishment for failure.  But those softies are all "don't punish him, we like failed unethical research that wastes our resources."

Oh yeah allright!
ME3 mostly added Nova to Vanguard, Charge works the same way and is still the n°1 skill.

DLC I'd rank Shadow Broker > Overlord > Kasumi >> Arrival, the first three being better than regular missions and definitely worth it. Shadow Broker is the best part of the game (it also has the best vista, which has to be worth something), Overlord has a nice atmosphere / ending / music, Kasumi has that cool James Bond infiltration part. Arrival is lame.

Mako was removed from ME1 to ME2/3, but Overlord and additional DLC have some "Hammerhead".
It is entirely different and controls like a 3D platformer with health regen and ranged fighting. It is weird.

Final Fantasy 7 - The "replay of a really old RPG I haven't played in a decade" of early this year for me, apparently. Currently storming the Shinra tower. Looking up GameFAQs I have somehow managed to miss both the All materia up to this point. Oh well, the game will be slightly less broken than it usually is. Still have to heal pretty much never.

...man, I just needed healing items to not wipe out vs a random trainer with an L36 Milotic in rain and nothing else.

Admittedly I didn't have either Plusle or Mightyena in my party due to rotating in lower levelled stuff, but still.

Oh, I remember Overlord now. That was okay. It has a minor impact on ME3 if that matters to you.

I also forgot Zaeed but he is a super lame character with a boring mission. I guess he has utility from his very existence by the end?

Zaeed has a nice grizzled old guy voice I guess? Too bad his mission's a snooze. Watching Kasumi warp across the battlefield to backstab dudes never got old, though.

Zaeed's mission has that Renegade prompt in which you burn a Krogan alive IIRC so that's something.

Shadowrun Returns:
Infiltrating a megacorp disguised as a janitor.
Two insanely lethal combat death drones follow me around and no one says anything about them.

Zaeed was part of the whole Project $10 thing when they were just starting out with it and not really doing great DLC.  He is an extra character that is kind of okay, but doesn't interact as much as a full character and the main benefit of him is that his Loyalty mission gives you an extra Rifle upgrade and another heavy weapons upgrade as Renegade (? I think that was it) so you can get the Cain sooner.  It is weird and targeted all wrong.  Pretty much it is just a much shittier way of doing something like Shale in Dragon Age.  Kasumi is built similarly but is executed miles better (and unlocks my favourite SMG in the series).

Yeah Zaheed + his mission + Hammerhead missions + other missions + some weapons were free if you bought the game new, so they're not really meant to be 10$ DLC or anything, even if they are now.
Best way to play ME2 now would be to get one of these editions with all DLC anyway.

Drones in Shadowrun Returns are so cool guys. So so cool. You need to put all your points into them though, accept no substitute. Drones from hired runners (or Blitz in Dragonfall) are terrible because they really need all your stats.

I already have a copy of the game that I was given which I seriously doubt has the DLC. I'll check, though.

Super Mario Kart - Finally passed the 100cc Special Cup with a Bronze Medal. I feel so accomplished. I find the game unpleasantly difficult compared to the newer Mario Karts, but more random / enemies are more specifically concerned with killing you than F-Zero, which I find to be a bit of a strange combination, although I think occasionally the game can hit a sweet spot where it is fun rather than annoying. If Special Cup was in 50cc I'd probably just play that.

Smash Bros. - Not really actively doing anything in this other than continuing to play matches, but it's still good times.

This is pretty much great no matter what you say.

Pokémon Alpha Sapphire - Kyogre get. Also, Wallace once again got soloed by Gardevoire's broom. OHKOing a L46 Milotic with Psychic was good times.

Using Garrus is always a good life philosophy. Unless someone comes up who is better to make sweet alien babies with, I will try to do charm his sexy self. I've heard good things about the character Samara so I am optimistic she will be cool though. ^_^

Ah, dextro- and levo-amino acid interactions.  Never not funny, except when they are deadly.

Shadowrun Returns: Finished.

My opinion about the ending : Oh come the fuck on.

I don't know what was up with that final battle. I launched my two drones on Jess and her HPs dropped to 0 after 3 turns. Then it was just cleaning up a few insects. I dont know what the pillars were for or if the other woman was supposed to do anything.

Edit: Oh yeah this is pretty important: I wore a Hawaiian shirt through the entire game.

Brigandine GE: Just did a multiplayer session using the new patch. My complaints with the patch are still there. The text is really hideous and it is as if he retained a writing style that emulated the US localization (lots of things are awkwardly worded, some things just don't make any fucking sense). It is playable in this form but I ran into a bug that replaced all the characters and textures with scanlines or something.

I played with Caerleon (it is spelled Caerloen in the patch) in the second multiplayer scenario. Leonia and New Almekia are dissolved and their Knights are distributed throughout the other countries in the continent. Caerleon in this scenario doesn't start with any powerhouse units (its standout promoted units are a Lv10 Archangel and a Lv10 Couatl and also there is a Mandrake!) relative to the other countries, but its selection of Rune Knights is insane. It has Cai, Dinadan, Lance, Gereint, Isfas (I forgot that Guardians get Holy Word in this version), and the rest of Caerleon's magic contingent. Also, that Archangel actually isn't to be underestimated in this scenario since with a Holy Word and a few Geno spells, the enemy is basically half dead. Also, Caerleon is strategically identical to the Caerleon in the normal game. It doesn't have the alliance any longer but one chokepoint is still fairly easy to defend since it borders Esgares, which is easily overextended. The other countries in this scenario have at least four borders to defend to start so they're trickier to deal with.

So if nothing else, the patch has gotten me to replay the game again. I finally know what the backstory of some of the new Quest Knights are although none of them are very interesting. I might do an Esgares playthrough to see what's going on in their cutscenes but another part of me wants to completely rebalance this game, which would take time I don't have.

Suikoden 4 - up to the end game.  Got second party levelled and equipped. Game so dull.  Also so much of the game is optional and unlocks what I at first had pegged as half way, but I swear it is actually closer to 2/3s of the way through the game before you get the boat.

Ha ha, the very same! As I mentioned in the idiot thread, all the Demon names have changed to things that are just puzzling (Imps, Sirens, Succubus) and the Missing Link item name change is particularly egregious. I was hoping for something crazy to be changed in the storyline, like active evangelizing, but sadly nothing of the sort is there. However, the annoying changes he made were in gameplay, changing spell lists and nerfing Meteor Doom (which takes the bite out of the Bulnoil fight). Also, one of the names he came up with for Demons/what are now called Imps is "Poop." Get it? Poop.

FONV: I built a 10 Luck courier for the sole purpose of knocking out the gambling trophies. I thought getting banned from the casinos might actually take a while, but it turns out that you almost literally cannot lose at blackjack. Pity I only have 3 Endurance so there's really nothing to spend all this money on. (And the super expensive weapons are all irrelevant because with 3 Strength even Weapon Handling won't get me access to a lot of them.)

Yeah, it's hilarious isn't it?  Even after a level 1 run to the Clinic you can instantly never worry about money again.

AAI2: Man, people who called this game convoluted were not kidding. I tried to explain case 2 in my head and got lost almost immediately. I really like the reveal for the actual killing but the way you get from that to the scenario as presented in the opening of the chapter is just bonkers. Currently in part 2 of case 3, which has been really fun so far. Change-up/nostalgia cases generally are.
