I'm not sure how much you know about scheduling and I don't want to be condescending*.

Anyway, the Giants aren't the only ones with a bad stretch, and the fact they play a lot of good teams is the consequence of winning one's division, hence the Niners and Packers games. A lot of teams seem to have q nitpick this year. For example, only two teams (GB and HOU) play three straight road games. PIT plays only one division game before Week 11.

Yeah, I'm sure we'd all love to play the AFC South every year but divisions take turns using weak divisions to rack up wins.

*In this case. I will generally be very condescending, particularly if the person has taste equal to or worse than NEB, which in this context is being a Pats fan or worse.

I knew that they get matched up with entire divisions during the season, it just surprised me that the way it ended up being was nearly the same as last year. I did not notice though that they get matched up with people who got the same place in other divisions in the conference. I assumed the last 2 slots on the schedule were filled more or less at will by the league to allow for more competitive/interesting games. Guess it's more or less coincidence then.

And yeah, that one division game before Week 11 is weird.

Yeah, I gotta admit I love people clamoring year in and year out about how the Patriots have an easy schedule because I know all 16 opponents are determined by the end of the previous season (14 of which are determined even before that).

Not saying Miki did this (because why would he complain about an easy Pats schedule), just saying in general.

The thing that helps you have a weak SoS more than anything? Playing in a bad division. The Pats do that.

Of course, that doesn't really explain the Packers this year, since they play in the best division in the NFC AND play the first place teams. Would have been best in the NFL if Cutler hadn't been hurt and torpedoed the Bears, but I digress.

The Bucs have a chance to steal the division! I am liking their draft. Ron Cooper was the LSU DBs coach and is now the DB coach for the Bucs. He obviously mentioned something or told the team about Claiborne having some sort of problem, or else why would they pass on him at the five spot? like Barron though. he will be a stud. AND we stole Martin away rom the Giants. AND we got a good LB (hopefully) in David.

The Dolphins...ugh! Well at least they drafted the fastest RB in the draft this year (Lamar Miller), though something tells me that drafting him and another Miami U player was more PR move related then trying to help the team out...since...they have a RB in Bush and a young RB in Thomas.

Good to see they addressed the WR position too oh wait...no they just drafted a WR who only recently became a QB.

Stupid Tampa media calling Winslow old and washed up. Yeah, we all know that he has a "bad" knee, but he never missed a game with Tampa. He is also kind of a diva, but whatever, he was our most prodcutive offensive weapon.

On the other hand, Clark did not play last year, and had a wrist injury. Who cares. As long as his legs work and he can still catch and find the open pockets in the defense, I guess it will work out.

No more complaining about Wrs who drop balls now though. It's time for Joshy Free to nut up or shut up.

So the SB champion isn't invincible in the opener after all, it seems. Giants have never played that well at home, though, which is strange.
