A betrayer of Cruxis, Lloyd's group of heroes, and of himself, Kratos has fought every side of the spectrum, toeing the line between just and unjust in every waking hour of his existence. Despite hindering Lloyd's trek throughout Sylvarant and Tethe'alla, however, he also aided the journey, teaching and testing him at every opportunity. In the end, Kratos finally shunned off his past and aided Lloyd in the battle against Mithos, once Kratos's ally and companion, to revitalize the world.

Kratos's age and experience shine very brightly in the arena. Armed with agility one wouldn't expect for his age, in addition to a mastery over magic and the blade, as well as resilience to the harshest of conditions, and you have yourself one of the DL's finest competitors, as his upgrade to Godlike in Season 22 showed.
