Season 52, Week 2
Tibarn
(Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance)

So Kratos thinks he can take Tibarn out just because he has wind magic, does he? Pity that just hitting a weakness still doesn't turn Kratos's subpar magic damage into anything actually decent, or Tibarn might be in for a fight here. Of course, that's assuming the magic knight can actually make his attacks land at all. The hawk king is one of the fastest creatures ever to fly the skies, with incredible natural evasion backed by the always useful Cancel skill, so actually hitting him is quite a tall order. Hitting him enough to bring him down before his brutal talons have ripped the life straight out of you? A greater task then Kratos is up to, certainly. It's time for the Hawk King to take wing and make an example of this treacherous beorc. It's time to show the Dueling League how a real Laguz fights.

How many roads must a thousands-year old man walk down before you can call him a Godlike champion? And what exactly is the elemental weakness of the Bird-Laguz of Phoenicis? The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind. Cruxis's lone human angel may not be the best father ever, but he compensates by being a holy terror in battle. Alas for the Hawk King, Kratos's Wind-based Hurricane Thrust will rend his feathers into pieces, and his Super Lightning Blade tech happens to have be a combo of both Wind and Lightning damage. And if Kratos feels like avoiding Tibarn's counters - not that this is really necessary - he can taunt him from range with his Air Thrust spell. Tibarn's better off staying home once he sees the RPGDL weather report predicting a tornado for this week's match.

Boy, Kratos sure does love that double damage to humans sword he has now, doesn't he?

Wait, what do you mean Tibarn is a bird? It doesn't work?

Back to heavy you go, mister.
