While he might look like a pretty ratty, weak soldier, make no mistake - the saviour of Trodain, indeed, of the world, is not your average fighter. As the only member of the Trodain kingdom to survive the curse of Dhoulmagus, the Hero (affectionately called 'Guv' by his friend Yangus), joined King Trode on his journey to reverse the horrid curse. Travelling across the world, the small band of warriors (Guv the soldier, Yangus the bandit, Jessica the sorceress and Angelo the Templar Knight) eventually found the root of the problem - the resurrection of the Dark Lord Rhapthorne. While Guv's group failed to prevent the re-awakening of Rhapthorne, they were successful in once more defeating the dark ruler - this time for good.

Of all the heroes of the Dragon Quest universe, Guv is the mightiest of all. He's a fighter, a mage, and, most of all, a summoner. With the ability to call out several powerful teams of arena-ready monsters to bash his way through even the toughest of encounters, simply getting a shot at him can be a challenge. And even then, his Fullheal spell and devastating Dragon Soul combine to make him a fighter feared by even the most respectable of Godlikes.
