Not only is Boyd having to compete at the same as his brother, but this is also the first time any Path of Radiance characters compete in the DL. Talk about pressure! Luckily for Boyd, he has a pretty easy match this week. Jessica's great at healing...unfortunately that's all she's really good at, and that's not going to be enough. See, Boyd may or may not kill her in one blow, but if he doesn't Jessica's going to have to heal to avoid getting killed. And then Boyd will keep forcing her to heal until she runs out of MP. Regen's not going to be enough, either. This battle might take awhile, but Boyd should have plenty of Silver Axes around to help wear her down. And, of course, this is all assuming Boyd doesn't just get a critical sooner or later and turns her into vaguely white-mage shaped chunks. So relax Boyd, you've got a free ticket to week 3! Let's see if your brother can do the same...
