Week 1 - Eliminations

Ash Lambert (VH) Ash Lambert vs Galcian Galcian (SoA)

Dhyerwolf
Ash...
Vandalier.
Legendary Hero.
Reigning Godlike Champion.
.
.
.
Eternum Bait.

Ash Lambert: 8
Galcian: 13

Scias (BoF4) Scias vs Lamington Lamington (Disgaea)

Zenthor
Just about everthing Scias does, Lamington does better.

Shining blade is a definite curve wreker.
Judgement is better at wreaking curves.

Scias has the mysterious samurai... stuttering dog thing down.
Lamington kills people by turning them into flowers.

Scias isn't known for taking hits.
Lamington is.

Game, set, match, Lamington.

Scias: 4
Lamington: 17

Brahms (VPs) Brahms vs Profound Darkness Profound Darkness (PS4)

Hunter Sopko
How does one defeat the one providing the source for their own power, honestly? This reminds me of a reverse Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God, where Profound Darkness is holding Brahms' power by the strength of a thread, and simply decides to cut it. Game, Set, Match, Profound Darkness.

Brahms: 7
Profound Darkness: 17

Zio (PS4) Zio vs Songi Songi (LoL)

superaielman
Genocidal Cannon is all well and good, but what good will Songi's best move do against a tank like Zio? Not much. And Songi himself won't be doing much, after Black Wave claims another victim.

Zio: 10
Songi: 9

Hunter Sopko
Ever wonder how fun it would be to beat up a priest? Especially if it's an evil priest bent on turning the world to darkness? Songi's about to live the dream.

Teepo (BoF3) Teepo vs Stahn Aileron Stahn Aileron (ToD)

superaielman
This fight reminds me of a dorm party. They both Howl at the moon for awhile until one of them staggers off drunkenly. Stahn's howl is merely annoying... on the other hand, Teepo's seals Stahn's techs and magic, and leaves him open for a Triple Blow beating.

Teepo: 18
Stahn Aileron: 8

Alena (DW4) Alena vs Mazus Mazus (S2)

Nephrite
Alena strode out onto the battlefield, awaiting the challenge of someone who might be able to defeat her.

Too bad Mazus never showed up.

It seems that Crowley had demanded Mazus have another battle somewhere, and by the time Mazus got to the Arena to fight Alena, it had already been over.

Alena: 14
Mazus: 11

Laike (Lunar1) Laike vs Harle Harle (CC)

Nephrite
The weird-looking Clown chuckled as the rather grizzled-looking warrior came into the arena.

"You are zee on who iz going to beat me, non? That is funny!" Harle giggled.

Laike didn't. He bonked her on the head and she lost.

Laike: 15
Harle: 13

Haschel (LoD) Haschel vs Chaz Ashley Chaz Ashley (PS4)

superaielman
Haschel entered the ring, and dropped into a fearsome fighting stance. "Take your pick. You can quit now, or get a mace to the temple. "

Chaz shrugged, and reached for his sword. "I'll take option C. You go BOOM."

"EXPLODE!"

And Haschel did.

Haschel: 9
Chaz Ashley: 20

Justin (G1) Justin vs Anna Zirski Anna Zirski (PS2)

superaielman
"Sweety, you did it!" Feena ran into the ring to hug her husband, after he delivered the fatal blow to Anna. "You finally won!"

Wearing his trademark grin, Justin let go of his sword, and embraced his wife. "Alright, I won! I'll grab my Spirit Sword, and we'll head home." Justin casually walked over to the dying Anna, and yanked the sword out of her chest. As the pair walked away, a blue haired man stood eying the pair, with hate in his eyes.

"Laugh while you can, fool. For soon, Anna and I will both be avenged."

Justin: 15
Anna Zirski: 6

Lutz (AtLC) Lutz vs Fu So Ya Fu So Ya (FF4)

Lord Windscar

Lutz: Knife Rain

Fu So Ya: Meteo *Deals 9999 damage*

Lutz: X_x

Lutz: 7
Fu So Ya: 14

Nash Rumack (Lunar1) Nash Rumack vs Cray Cray (BoF4)

Laggy
Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt.

Thunderbolt.

One fried cat on the ground. Next?

Nash Rumack: 18
Cray: 11

Tengaar (Suikos) Tengaar vs Vivi Ornitier Vivi Ornitier (FF9)

superaielman
Tengaar had this match in the bag. While she knew that Vivi was immune to Earthquake, but she knew what he wasn't immune to.

"Ooooh Vivi!" Tengaar walked up, and began tickling the small mage. "Come on! Give up the match to your big sister!"

"...Stop it...." Vivi's voice cracked with fear. "I don't like being touched..."

"Then quit!" Tengaar's soft voice went hard, and she loomed over Vivi. "GIVE UP!"

"STOP IT!" Vivi, in his fear, didn't notice he had let loose one of his spells. When he looked up again, Tengaar was frozen in place, with a mean look on her face. Vivi was awarded the match, much to his suprise.

"Sigh... why me?!" Hix's moaning was heard throughout the arena, as he dragged his frozen girlfriend out the ring.

Tengaar: 11
Vivi Ornitier: 26

Bowser Koopa (SMRPG) Bowser Koopa vs Noel Chandler Noel Chandler (SO2)

Meeplelard
Bowser was getting annoyed, as Noel just kept healing from his attacks. Blast, was he to be thwarted by this pacisifist the same way that Plumber would? Then Bowser had an idea

"Rar! I eat sheep!" he shouted

Noel, at the sound of hearing defensless animals being slaughtered, fainted on the spot, giving Bowser the win.

Bowser Koopa: 23
Noel Chandler: 12

Kanos
Noel finally runs into someone he can beat in Bowser, who just isn't fast enough to deal with Noel's healing. Sorry, big guy.

Lezard Valeth (VPs) Lezard Valeth vs Guile Guile (CC)

Laggy
Before the match, Lezard, being a former Godlike, decided to discreetly call in some favors, and thus entered the arena in his SG form.

The match went something like this:

"No mercy for the damned; thus, thou has no escape from the grasp of catastrophe! Meteor Swarm!"

Two seconds later, a pile of goo on the floor was all that remained of the hapless CC mage.

Lezard Valeth: 16
Guile: 13

Grefter
Guile wins this match suprisingly easilly. That wand floating around him reminds Lezard far to much of Lorenta and her dreaded Mystic Cross which lays some serious smack down on him.

One "No, this cannot be!" and a suprised Guile later the match is over.

Liz (WA2) Liz vs Keele Ziebel Keele Ziebel (ToE)

Zenthor
"Your existance is impossible!" Keele exclaimed as he met Liz in the Arena. "According to the Laws of Craymelology, you need at least a 25.73% water craymel..."

"You're wrong! It is you who isn't able to exist! In order for life to even happen, you need a vital factor of..."

"Pshaw! You're wrong, you need..."

"Your theory is ill thought out and..."

By the time the conversation had come this far, the audience fell asleep, lulled by the Trek-nobabble. The debate went well past the setting of the sun, and the two had nearly talked themselves to sleep. In fact, Keele had talked himself to sleep. Proud of himself for out-lasting the Inferian Scholar in a debate, Liz made his way to the arena gates, completely forgetting that he was supposed to be fighting. When the crowd and Keele woke up, Keele was declared the winner by a technical ringout.

Liz: 5
Keele Ziebel: 17

Leon Geeste (SO2) Leon Geeste vs Jacques Jacques (S3)

Cmndr_King
The match seemed started well enough. With his usual non-chalance, Jacques entered the arena and leaned against the wall, waiting for the match to start.
This calm was pierced by a shrill whine, and the spectators from Expel shook their heads, remembering who the archer's opponent was.
"But WHY do I have to fight this guy? He's from a cast of 108, so he can't possibly be noteworthy. And he hardly talks, so he can't be entertaining. And he's an ARCHER. The worst of the worst for fighters! I don't wanna!! This is hardly worthy of me!"
Jacques shruged the insult off. The match started, but Leon was too busy complaining to notice. He lowered his bow-gun and took aim. He fired.
As Jacques arrow struck home, Leon instantly crumpled. Declared the winner, Jacques silently wandered off.
It was some time before anyone noticed that Leon was covered in considerably more arrows than Jacques had fired, each belonging to a different Duelling League archer.
That this information wouldn't have changed the judges minds had it come earlier didn't seem to bother anyone but Leon, however...

Leon Geeste: 10
Jacques: 21
