Week 1 - Eliminations

Fou-Lu (BoF4) Fou-Lu vs Ryu Ryu (BoF4)

DragoonJay
Ryu looked carefully over the equation that his Master Momo had written for him on his last trip to Wyndia.
FL + R = infinity, where FL > R.

He also used Momo's latest invention, 'instant replay', to look over the tapes of the last time he had faced off against his other half. With every agonizing blow that Ryu absorbed on the tape, the live version blanched a bit more. Especially when he realized that the only reason he hadn't liquified at that battle was the assistance of Nina and the others.

Assistance which was patently illegal in his upcoming match.

So, operating under Lord Yuna's mantra of 'He who lives and runs away, doesn't die', Ryu calmly made as much distance between himself and Fou-Lu as was possible in one week.

Fou-Lu: 21
Ryu: 0

MeepleLard
Fou-lu as usual, started a long dramatic speech to Ryu. This time, though, Ryu didn't have Nina's Emotional Support to get him through, and likewise, Ryu4 just got absorbed into Fou-lu, and now, Fou-lu has become his Golden Haired Bishie self he always wanted to be.

Dhyerwolf
Realizing that there is no way that he can beat Fou-Lu alone, Ryu decides to merge with the other half of the Yorae dragon in hopes that his extra strength will help Fou-Lu win another RPGDL championship.

Yuri Volte Hyuga (SHs) Yuri Volte Hyuga vs Myria Myria (BoFs)

Dark Holy Elf
Ah, Yuri. So broken. Best skillset in his game by a country mile, and game-best in so many stats... HP, SP, Strength, Speed, Evasion... And game-worst in MP. Which means he has trouble dealing massive-HP game-bosses, due to his limited supply of-

Wait, did somebody stay massive-HP game-bosses? Sorry, Yuri; better luck next time.

Yuri Volte Hyuga: 4
Myria: 15

MeepleLard
Before the match, Yuri was speaking to REAL Roger Bacon.

Roger Bacon: It would be advisable that you don't fight with this one, Yuri, she is far stronger than any opponent you've faced thus far.
Yuri: I've defeated Gods before, how much harder can it be to defeat a Goddess? She'll wish she never faced me!
Roger Bacon: You don't seem to understand, this one not only has incredible amounts of power, but she also doesn't breed for destruction and...
Yuri: Look, Old Man, I'll do things my own way, you here?

The Match started, and Yuri Opened by Transforming into Seraphic Radiance. Myria, stood there in her Little Crying Girl form, for some reason, instead of her later Angelic Form. People were more suprised when she didn't transform into that big Demonic Banshee or that giant Ugly Hydra thing. No, something was definatly not right here.

Yuri...didn't mind. He decided to open up with For Everyone, just in case. Myria still sat there, not doing anything, apparnetly crying.

Yuri: Damn it! FIght me already!
Myria: Please, I haven't done anything, why must you fight me?
Yuri: Damn it! I'll just kill you now, after you, last Seasons God Like Champ is next! anyways, For the Children!

Yuri had made one fatal mistake. Not REALIZING that Myria was indeed a Child in this form, she shrugged off the blast with absolutly no difficulty. Yuri was stunned, and with almost all his resources gone, he didn't know what to do. SUDDENLY, out of nowhere, Myria spoke again...

Myria: Will you be my Friend?

Yuri...Freaked out. After all, his moves have Lame Names, he expected 'Will you be my friend' to be some uber attack itself, and he ran from the Stadium giving up. Everybody laughed at Yuri as he ran, and watched as Myria turned into her Angelic Form and said

Myria: That strategy seems to work against anything that's not a Dragon, I'm suprised it work so well this time though? Oh well, time to start preparing to take down the Dragon next round.

Lloyd (LoD) Lloyd vs Anastasia Valeria Anastasia Valeria (WA2)

Dark Holy Elf
Lloyd was brimming with self-confidence. His first RPGDL match at last, but that wasn't what got him excited. More important to him was his mission; his fated showdown with the one dragon god who exceeded the Divine Dragon. Lloyd sneered at the competion that obstructed his path to Fou-Lu: a reject from a kiddy game, a woman pretending to be a goddess, and some pacifistic girl accompanied by a Light-bait dog. None were a match for him, and he knew it.

'Impulse!'

As it turned out, that was the last thing he knew.

Lloyd: 3
Anastasia Valeria: 14

Hunter Sopko
Ana... sweet, beautiful Ana. She can cause the same amount of damage right off the bat as Lloyd can with an Impulse, and still have enough FP to cast her healing spell as many times as she needs as his massive attacks refill her force bar. Once she looks up and see the 'Condition Green' logo flash over her head, Lloyd goes down to a quad-Impulse. Poor bastard.

Taylor H
You'd think this would be an easy win for Lloyd. A woman who has little to no training in how to fight and who doesn't particularily want to fight against someone whos trained to fight so as to accomplish his goals and transform the world to a new paradise and is burning with that conviction. However, Anastasia desires stopping crazed, world-wrecking zealots like Lloyd more than she desires not to fight, and training doesn't matter for much when you can use the Argetlahm. And so, once again Lloyd's dreams come to naught.

False Althena (Lunar2) False Althena vs Mewtwo Mewtwo (PKMN)

DragoonJay
There's one problem with the trademark Psy/Bar/Am/Rec moveset - Mewtwo only gets ten possible attacks, unless the battle goes long enough to use up all his PP, in which case he's doomed anyway.

There's also one problem with False Althena - she can't stall and power herself up beyond her already formidable abilities. That's something that Mewtwo can do, much to FA's chagrin.

False Althena: 8
Mewtwo: 11

Dark Holy Elf
As powerful as False Althena is, she's not the most mentally stable of villainesses. What a shame for her, then, that Mewtwo's psionics specialise in messing with their target's head...

KOS-MOS (XS) KOS-MOS vs Yuiri Yuiri (S3)

Dark Holy Elf
Yuiri has high magic defence, which protects her to some extent from the stupidly powerful X-Buster.
Sadly, as KOS-MOS showed in her debut match, X-Buster, gamebest damage or not, isn't even her best tactic against PCs. Rather, the Grasslander archer fell victim to S-Chain + R-Dragon. Isn't a triple status attack that halves defence as one of its effects mean?

KOS-MOS: 19
Yuiri: 3

Tylor H
Protection vs. Sleep: $$ Dollars
Best KM Armour: $$ Dollars

Lemon (SF2) Lemon vs Purim Purim (SoM)

DragoonJay
Desoul's accuracy has never been a strong point in the Shining Force series. Now, physical bosses... that's a different story. And Lemon, for all his weaknesses as a sub-par PC, is a devastating boss, and more than enough to handle the SD2 woman.

Lemon: 15
Purim: 3

RC
Lemon decides to forfeit this battle after he realises one simple truth: while he might be able to outpower Purim, the power of her harem pants will get him in the end.

Rei (BoF3) Rei vs Ox Ox (BoF1)

Grefter
Rei is getting, what? 8 or so turns to Ox's one? I foresee a great mass of Death being cast with much beating of all occurring.

Rei: 20
Ox: 1

Meru (LoD) Meru vs Jenova Jenova (FF7)

Dark Holy Elf
The day after her match with Jenova, Meru was absolutely furious.

'How completely unfair!' cried the Wingly Dragoon, swinging her hammer around in her rage. 'I'm telling you, I was robbed!'

'Now, now, Meru,' Albert said, staying well away from his fellow Dragoon. 'You have to accept that sometimes, not everything goes your way.'

'Yeah,' said Dart. 'You're not the only one who's had bad luck in the arena, you know.'

'Still!' whined Meru. 'How do you think I feel? Not even knowing if I'll ever get another chance!'

'You'll get another chance, Meru,' said Miranda. 'I'm sure of it.'

'How can you know?' yelled Meru.

'Because the only Enemy Skill you can miss permanently is Trine,' said Haschel in exasperation. 'Bah! Back in my day, everybody knew that!'

'Now, will you shut up?' said Rose. 'One would think you'd lost, from all your complaining.'

'I *still* say I was robbed,' said Meru. 'I got hit with Aqua Lung a half dozen times in that battle, and I still didn't learn it. This Enemy Skill materia I spent our Legend Casque money is defective!'

'You spend... Legend Casque money? Kongol sad. Now he never get out of Light.'

Rose gave an exasperated sigh. 'Meru, free piece of information for you: You need to take damage to learn an Enemy Skill.'

'What's that supposed to mean?' yelled Meru, then glanced at her blue armour. '... oh.'

***

Rose's exasperated sigh was echoed by a fellow Godlike swordsman's, in the FF7 section of the arena quarters. 'Mother, I still don't understand why you decided your LIFE form was the best for that fight...'

'Would you believe me if I said I chose it for its background music?'

Meru: 15
Jenova: 5

Rune Walsh (PS4) Rune Walsh vs Seifer Almasy Seifer Almasy (FF8)

Dark Holy Elf
'Look at the chickenwuss!' Seifer called to his opponent from across the arena. 'Bringing shields to a gunfight! Nothing can stop a gunblade, you fool!'
'Is that so?' said Rune, right before blasting Seifer, gunblade and all, clear out of the arena with a casting of Legeon. 'Well, nothing stops high-grade non-elemental attack magic, either.'

Rune Walsh: 14
Seifer Almasy: 7

Delita Hyral (FFT) Delita Hyral vs Kain Highwind Kain Highwind (FF4)

Tylor H
Kain had arrived on the field early in order to best see the terrain and get used to it in order to jump and land better. After all, he knew this Delita would be a tough fight, and that he'd need to spend as little time on the ground as possible if he wanted to win. He hadn't been there for too long however when Delita himself arrived, teleporting in in a shower of shimmering blue light. He was clad in a long dark cloak that obscured his face and most of everything save his rather distinctive gold armour. Kain snorted at the fact that his foe was trying to look cool and dark for this battle, but he knew he still had the superior dark look, and so let his foe try and best him.

The two shared no words as they prepared for battle. Kain constantly checking out the terrain, occasionally obsessing over nothing to try and psych out his opponent. Delita, though, just stood there the entire time, looking over the battlefield, not moving at all. Kain found this somewhat unnerving, but refused to let him get the edge. After all, everyone knew what a sneaky bastard the Ivalician King was. And that was how things stood as the battle began. Kain immeadiatly launched into the air as Delita... stood there. The dragoon looked for any tricks or any sign of dodging or an attack, but none came as he landed the attack, his spear going right through a chink in the armour. The spear hit home, and Kain's world went white, then dark.

Delita waited a while and then took off his Vanish Mantle. The decoy he had teleported in had been a success, Kain being kind enough to hit a suit of armour packed with high explosives with all of his force. And the dragoon was now lying crumpled on the ground for his efforts, while Delita had a date with the quarterfinals in two weeks.

Delita Hyral: 14
Kain Highwind: 12

DragoonJay
Medusa Sword (to inflict Stone): stolen from Black Liz, free
Blood Spear (to drain HP): Castle of Eblana, free
Gungnir Spear (to improve defense): free
The ability to switch weapons at will, and show that even old-school fighters can manipulate the system: priceless.

Sharon (S3) Sharon vs Dalton Dalton (CT)

Dark Holy Elf
Both fighters prize their evasion very highly. But only one relies on their spear and shield for said evasion. And those pieces of equipment, handy as they are normally, are remarkably poor at stopping a giant ball of iron from falling on your poor Dragon Knight head and crushing you.

Sharon: 10
Dalton: 13

Gadwin (G1) Gadwin vs General Leo General Leo (FF6)

DragoonJay
After this match, I think it would be fitting for Gadwin to 'get some rest'. Preferrably six feet under.

Gadwin: 1
General Leo: 21

Tylor H
This battle can really be summed up by looking at the basic fight command of both of the combatants here. Gadwin, like all of Grandia has a choice of combo which does two attacks, or Critical which does the same amount of damage to a single target. Leo, meanwhile, has Fight which hits four times, and Shock, which hits one time for the same amount of damage to all targets. With this same pattern repeating itself no matter how you compare the two, Leo goes on to an easy victory.

Frog (CT) Frog vs Tellah Tellah (FF4)

DragoonJay
You know you're pathetic when...
-Even scaled, your opponent one hit kills you through your physical.
-Your best status change that might actually work will actually benefit your opponent in the long run (if you call being chased by a love-struck inventor who thinks you're a dish a benefit).
-Your best spell kills you.
-Your second best spell sets your opponent up for a devastating killing blow.

Frog: 25
Tellah: 5

MeepleLard
Tellah: Toad!
Frog: ...What be the basis behind thine strategy?
TEllah: well, I thoguht you...wait, your already an Amphibian! DAH! I concede...
Frog: ...his trump card be turning me into a Frog?

Dhyerwolf
The fact that Tellah's picture resembles a long dead skeleton doesn't really hint at him winning the match.

Pipe Dreamer
As a Knight of Guardia, Frog had vowed to protect the weak and the elderly.

Unfortunately, he had also vowed to slay all users of forbidden and powerful magic that take millennia to charge.

For Tellah, though, the most unfortunate thing about it is that newer rules supercede older ones in the official Code of Behavior for Guardian Knights. And as the protect-the-elderly rule was written long before anyone realized magic existed...

Tylor H
Sure, Tellah has nothing that can kill his opponent in one shot, with the exception of an unreliable death spell. But, he had a different strategy in mind as he entered the arena.

One casting of his Frog spell later, and a semi-grateful Glenn threw the match in appreciation of once more being human.

Rinoa Heartilly (FF8) Rinoa Heartilly vs Yang Yang (FF4)

DragoonJay
A poisoned/confused/sleeping Rinoa is about as dangerous as a kitten, if that kitten had to be rescued all the time because of their naive state of mind. And despite an above average attack power, Rinoa isn't going to be doing much this fight besides being poisoned, confused, and/or sleeping.

Rinoa Heartilly: 12
Yang: 14

RC
After the match, the sylphs were busy trying to get Yang on the mend for a while. They were perplexed by how he kept mumbling, 'Can't sleep. Wishing Star will kill me!' over and over again.

What HAD blasted him all the way to their cave this time, anyways?

Mio (G1) Mio vs Guido Guido (G1)

Tylor H
'According to my calculations, if I simply use my Stun Gun on you repeatedly, I have a 95% chance of victory,' Mio said to the Mogay Elder.

'Ah, yes! But-a so long-a as I hava faith in my ability to-a win, I can never lose!' Guido said as he lifted his sword and charged into battle.

Unfortunatly for the Mogay, this time plot power didn't intervene and calculations and preparation prevailed over blind faith.

Mio: 16
Guido: 3

Dhyerwolf
Pathetic bosses>Pathetic PCs, even if those bosses are from Grandia.

Luna (Lunar1) Luna vs Mia Ausa Mia Ausa (Lunar1)

MeepleLard
The 2 Lunarian's entered the ring. They were friends in thier own game, and outside of the arena, but now, for the first time, they were forced to fight.

Mia: I don't wanna hurt you Luna, so lets try to make the most of this, and just get this over with, ok?
Luna: Sounds like a good idea Mia, lets start.

The 2 engaged immidiatly. Mia opened by yelling 'By the Power of Althena!' and blasted Luna with a Flare Bomb Luna followed by singing her famous few notes, and Mia was asleep. She then started casting Cascade Song on herself several times. Mia woke up, and blasts Luna again. Luna continued to sing, and heal herself. THis went on for a bit. Mia could not take down Luna before Luna could Herself. Meanwhile, Mia's constant Assault left Luna somewhat at a loss of Offense.

Mia: *Huff* THis fight is taking too long
Luna: I know.
Mia: Say, ref, can we add a bit to the fight, just to end this?
Ref: What's that?
Luna: Can we invite a friend of our choosing to help fight for us?
It was agreed they both get 1 ally, and thus...
Mia: Nash, I need you!
Nash: Mia, my darling, don't you fear, I shall help you emerge Victorious.
Luna: Alex, get over here, NOW!
Alex: Well, Nall, it looks like the Dragon Master must help his goddess, as usual, have fun with Ruby...
'Gee, thanks...' Nall said who was in his Human form, sitting next to a certain familiar red cat.
Nash: Well, I guess its my turn...Special Delivery!
Already, Alex was turned to stone...that is until Luna sung again, and Alex was transformed back...
Mia: Summon elemental Powers!
Nash: Check this out!
Luna: La la, lalalala!
Alex: Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

The battle still wasn't ending. It wasn' long though, til Jessica realized that her friends needed help or they would not get out of this stalemate, but she wondered how she could help. She then noticed Kyle was hitting on some of the female attendance.

Jessica: Kyle! Get Over here! NOW!
Kyle: What is it, Jess?
Jessica: Darn it! Go help Alex and Luna, so I have the right to pound you and not make it look persona.
Kyle: Isnm't that...illegal?
Jessica: NO! I'll be helping Mia and Nash, so GO!
Nash: Damn it! Take this Luna *Nash fired a cross bow bolt at Luna, but Alex jumped in the way, and the arrow bounced off his Armor*
Luna: Lalalalal
Alex had Cascade song cast on him.
Mia: Summon Elemental...
Kyle: Muraaaaaswap
Kyle had smacked Mia down.
Alex: Kyle! Thanks for the help. Why are you here?
Kyle: JEss told me to help you
Luna: Why us?
Jessica: Althena, Lend me your power! *Mia is now healed*
Luna: HEy! How dare you use my power w/out my permission Jessica!
Jessica: Too bad, I'll use whatever I want, besides, its my own power anyway.

Niether side was getting anywhere fast. Alex and Kyle were going all out, as were Kyle and Mia, and Jessica and Luna made sure thier respecitve sides didn't die. It wasn't long til Lucia had come back from the little Goddesses room...

Lucia: Oh no! ALthena Needs my Help! I can't let her lose!
Lucia teleported into the Arena and yelled 'you shall not interfere!' blasting Mia's team with Plasma Rain.
Jessica: Damn it! Now we're out numbered!

At this point, it finally clicked for Lemina that her 2 ancestors, Mia and Nash, were fighting, and thus, she realized the profit opportunities involved if Mia were to successfully win a Light Championship.

Lemina: Mia! I've always wanted to meet you! Don't worry, I'm here! Mega Magic Flame!
Luna's team was blasted with Crematorium.

To everyone's suprise, the Judge had not said a thing...let alone, appeared to be anywhere, heck, it appeared he was blasted himself when Kyle entered.

Thus, it was TEam Althena vs. Team Ausa, and it wasn't long til Lemina had an idea...

Lemina: Say, Borgan, Over here! We need your help!
Borgan: Why should I help you?
Lemina: Want a good word with my Mother Miria?
Borgan: *Blush* Oh sweet Miria...I mean, of course I'll help young mistress Ausa!
Borgan had entered the fight, and now, Team Ausa seemed to have an edge.

Gwyn: Hiro, Wake up!
Hiro: Gramps, I know, its just a Light Fight, I don't really care...
Gwyn: But...the Dragon Master Alex, your Hero, is fighting.
Hiro: Nice Try Gramps, he's a heavy, he wouldn't be in light...
Gwyn: Say...is that Lucia I see?
Hiro: What? Lucia?? *Hiro Looked at the Arena, and sure enough, he saw the young goddess fighting alongside Luna, Alex, and Kyle* Lucia!!!!! Don't worry! Here I come!

Hiro appeared to teleport, and appeared in the middle of the Arena, yelling his 'Bang! Your Dead!' pulled off Concussion Sword, successfully Killing Nash, who Jessica Brought Back instantly.

Lucia: Hiro! you've Come!
Hiro: Anything for you Lucia
Alex: So...my Successor wishes to help team Althena?
Hiro: Of course I would!
Alex: Alright, Lets get them!
Borgan: This isn't good

Ronfar: Wow, this looks like quite a match. I don't know who to bet on...
Mauri: Still thinking of Gambling, Ronfar.
Lemina: *Notices Ronfar* Say Ronfar, if you help out Team Ausa, I'll give you your famous Magic Dice Back!
Ronfar: ...Sorry Mauri, but destiny Calls! *Runs off to help*
Mauri: Be careful, sweethart!

Ronfar: Lady Luck, Be Kind! *Hits Alex with ANger Dice, who doesn't even notice the attack*
Jessica: wow, that really helped
Ronfar: I didn't ask for your oppinion, Sweetcakes
Jessica: WHAT DID YOU CALL ME!

It was around now that Tempest and Jean had both noticed the battle, but neither could decide who to help, or did they think it was right.

Jean: Wow, this is really getting out of hand.
Tempest: I know...say, Jean...I bet you anything that Team Althena wins.
Jean: Really now? Alright, I'll take you up on your bet. Team Ausa, Pummel Team Althena into oblivion
Tempest: Don't give in, Team Althena, show them the Goddesses true Might!

Ramus: Wow, I'm really making a profit *looks into the Arena and notices Lemina* Hey, its my Rival, and she's fighting in a match and trying to make more, is she? I don't think so! Alex, Luna! Fear Not! I shall come to your Side!

Ramus Jumped from the Stands, and attempted to make a dramatic entrance, but due to his fat size, landed flat on his face, got up, and embarrasingly entered the fight.

Mia: Darn it! Just give up! Take this! By the Power of Althena! *casts Flameria*
Nash: Check this out!
Alex: Red Dragon Anger!
Hiro: Ferocious Winds!
Lemina: Mega Damage!
Lucia: Destruction!
Kyle: Take...wait, I don't know magic *everyone pratfalls*
Huge explosion, it was hard to see anything.
Hiro: Say, has anybody seen Leo? We could sure use his help, they still outnumber us.
Ramus: What the? Hey! I evened up the odds, didn't I?
Alex: Yeah, your right, we COULD use some more help...

Out of nowhere, a familiar voice was heard...
'Fear Not, Team Althena! Your Saviour is here! NEver Give Up, Never Surrender!'

Lemina: Is that...Leo?
Mystere: Of course not! Know my name...MYSTERE! YOu need a SPanking!
*at this point, Mystere through a grappling hook, and swung all the way over to the Arena, Dramatical entering Yeling 'Fang of Justice' and hits...Ramus...knocking him out of the Arena, followed by Yelling 'Discipline Feels Good!' and crashes out through the arena*

Hiro: That...was interesting...
Luna: No! He hit our own teamate in an attempt to help us!
Alex: well, it WAS Ramus, it wasn't like he was helping us anyway
Kyle: I thought we were fighting...

Mia and Nash attempted to blast Team Althena again, however, Alex was wise to quickly call Nall to cast White Dragon Protect on his team. However, little did they realize, Lemina was negotiatiing again...

Lemina: As I said, if you promise to help Team Ausa to victory, I promise you buy you land off the frontier, how does that sound? And you get the satisfaction of finally getting vengeance on ALthena!
Royce: Well, Xenobia, what do you think?
Xenobia: lets do it
Royce and Xenobia jumped in, Royce yelled 'I saved this Just for you!' as she fired a shot Lancer at Luna, however, Lucia jumped in the way, and toko the hit.

Hiro: Lucia!
Lucia: Hi...ro...
Hiro: You....*****! YAAAAAH! *HIro hits Royce with Triple Sword*

Alex; This isn't good, we're greatly outmatched
Out of nowhere, Lunn entered the match.
Ronfar: Lunn what are you doing here?
Lunn: I'm here cause its a fight, do I need any other reason...besides, Team Ausa has an unfair advantage, I'll see to it that they get thier just ally...
Lemina: Nuts...I KNEW I was forgetting someone
Borgan: Lets just try to finish them, can we?

THe battle...raged on. The biggest Light Battle anyone has ever seen, the whole Lunar cast was at it, Jean and Tempest were still cheering on thier respective Teams, Ruby was starting to get annoyed of Alex repeatedly calling ehr Assistance, though Nall didn't mind Alex' calls for White Dragon Protect. Somewhere in the battle, Laike joined Team Althena at the beck and call of Alex, but alas, even then, no victor appeared.

Suddenly, Luna realized something. There was a certain major someone who hasn't been seen. Who cold that be? Then, she saw a familiar face, waving a small Luna flag...

Luna: Oh...Ghaleon! Please, I need your help
Ghaleon: (Darn, where's Leo when you need him to make a good plan) Yes, Luna, what do you need now?
Luna: PLease, can you help my team Althena get a victory?
Ghaleon: Help you? Please, I have a match next week, can't I just sit this out? And I'm beyond bribery
Luna: well, you'll listen to Reason then. You claimed to be a Dragon Master at some point, didn't you?
Ghaleon: Well, yes, but that was to the False Althena.
Luna: Still, having the Title Dragon Master means you assist the Goddess Althena, and using it even as a guise, means you are obliged to help me.
Ghaleon: Well, umm...rats, out smarted by a kid. Fine, I'll help. But remember one thing...
Luna: What's that?
Ghaleon: Not Ghaleon, Dear Althena, Magic Emperor, Ghaleon!

*Ghaleon Teleported in, using his EBC form, for some strange Reason, and immidiatly turned into his Famous Magic Emperor Form*

Ghaleon: If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Mia your opponent Originally?
Luna: Well, yes, but...
Ghaleon: Time to die! *Casts Fate Storm on Mia, killing her*
Nash: Oh no! Mia!
Ghaleon: There, now Luna is the winner. The match description states that as soon as Mia or Luna dies, the other is the winner. Well, Mia just died, so this just determined who shall remain the Light who advances and who...is DEAD!
Alex: Oh god, I hate the speech, even rip offs of it.
Nash: WAIT! Wasn't the ONLY official Help allowed me and Alex on our respective teams? Ghaleons attack on Mia was illegal! Therefore, by definition, Luna should be disqualified!
Ghaleon: Darn, I was hoping no one would bring that up.
Nash: I won't stop til this is taken ot the Authorities.
Luna: BUt...Kyle killed the Ref, remember? Who is the going to be the Authorities now?
Zophar: Mwahahahahahahaah! It appears you are in need of assistance
The EBC Cast: *Gasp* Zophar!
The SSSC Cast sans Ghaleon: WTF is that?
Ghaleon: Uhhh, yes, Zophar, is there something you want...
Zophar: I am quite annoyed no one asked for my help, I could have easily decided a victor. You all have disappointed me.
Hiro: Darn it, Zophar, now you realize you have a less chance of winning now than when you fought us originally.
Zophar: On the Contarary, I am not here to destroy, I still haven't fully awakened, nor is am I in this season...
Ghaleon: Well, what do you want?
Zophar: I shall be the one to decide who shall advance between the young Human Mage and the Goddess. And My decision is...

Luna: 11
Mia Ausa: 15

Tylor H
Now, fighting gods isn't that big a deal for your average RPG character. Hell, for some of them, fighting and opposing their own god isn't even that big of a deal. However, when you're a mage, and the goddess you happen to be fighting is also the source of your magic power, then the only thing you can really do is play it smart and stay home that day.

And Mia, being the smart member of the Lunar cast, did exactly that, giving Luna a bye to the next round.

"Sailor scouts... Hrist... it doesn't matter, does it?" Lezard's musing tone was a clear warning for anyone who knew him that he was up to no good. Hrist and Sailor Saturn suddenly looked over to Lezard, and wondered why they had goose bumps.

Lezard had stopped laughing.

Weaving a simple Fire Lance spell, Lezard blasted Hrist to oblivion, and with a wave of his hand, summoned his Dragon Tooth warriors to make short work of the Sailor's team.

"You're... supposed.. to.. be.. weak...."

Lezard looked at the charred body of Sailor Saturn, and laughed.

"Believe whatever you like."

Lezard teleported away in a flash, leaving the shattered remains of the the battlefield as a warning to anyone who would dare mess with the mighty Lezard Valeth.
