Gadwin, Knight of Dight, is the archetypical mentor figure in the Hero's Journey. He serves to teach Justin needed secrets on his path to save the world while providing mature guidance in a crucial time. Unfortunately, like all mentors, he must eventually be surpassed by his pupil; thankfully for Gadwin, he survives with his life.

What this basically means is that Gadwin can and will ruthlessly chop anyone in Middle into tiny pieces with his experienced sword arm. Losing to Justin in Heavy is nothing to be ashamed of!
