Season 13, Week 1
Vyse
(Skies of Arcadia)

After twelve long seasons of waiting, Pirate King Vyse has finally gotten the chance to prove himself worthy of his title. Though he could have hoped for an easier battle, Nina Wyndia the Second is just the high profile opponent he needs to jump-start his DL career. Few opponents in Godlike, let alone Heavy, can withstand the power of a concentrated Pirate's Wrath, and the frail Wyndian princess is no exception. Though Nina's Death spell and ferocious lightning magic pose formidable barriers for Vyse, he's overcome much greater obstacles before. In the end, his insurmountable spirit just might win him the day.

The second Nina is back, and she's ready for a clean sweep of Heavy. This might seem like a tall order, but her eight-match rampage back in Seasons VII and VIII shows that you never know with this Nina. She faces a legendary pirate in her opening Heavy match, but Nina isn't the least daunted. Sure, Vyse has high attack power, excellent damage, and decent endurance. But none of this really matters, as the one thing he lacks is death protection. One little word will make PCs across the League tremble in fear once again just as it did three seasons ago - as Nina's Death spell claims its ninth victim.

Vyse was up against Nina the second. Known both equally for her tearing through middle and light, and her trademark Death spell, she had all the makings of a terrible foe for Vyse. What could the Pirate King do to stop this terrible foe...?

Vyse quietly entered the ring. Instead of setting in a defensive stance or attacking, he walked over to Nina and smiled, placing a hand of her shoulder. "Hey, baby. Want to go back to my ship? I can show you that the Delphinus isn't the only thing up!"

Much to the crowd's surprise, Nina took one look at Vyse, and ran screaming all the way out of the arena.

Chuckling, Vyse took off Vigoro's charm, and walked over to the stands, handing back the man his trademark accessory. "Thanks for the help, Vig. Guess your words really do have a way with women.."
