Season 2, Week 1
Shana
(Legend of Dragoon)

Shana's not the sharpest tool in the shed. However, in a fight, she's not too bad off. Her Bemusing Aroow can confuse even the mightiest of fighters with a little luck, and she only needs one turn to activate her feathery transformation into the White Silver Dragoon. At that point, Shana's powers really come into play. She has cheap, effective healing, and, most dangerous of all, White Silver Dragon, a spell that can easily take out Middles. Shana does have to deal with the fact that her HP is a little on the low side, as well as that her physical defence is not as wonderful as her magic defense.

The retainer to Lilly of Tinto, Samus isn't exactly as strong as his action/adventure namesake, but he'll still do his best. A versatile fighter, he sports both good physical prowess with his high Damage skill, and several spells at his disposal including Sleep, attack magic, and healing. Though the offensive magic will be of little use in this fight, given his opponent's terrifying magic defence, his healing and strong physical attacks certainly will be. After all, though his opponent may be tankish when it comes to magic, her defence is non-existant. And, if Samus can survive her one damaging attack, White Silver Dragon, which she can only use once, he can heal and be home free for the rest of the fight.

Dark Holy Elf
As the match began, Shana looked ready to cry. And it was more than just a look after she was struck by Samus' opening physical attack.

"Help me, Dart!" wailed Shana. "I can't damage him, and he's hurting me!"

"Um... that means you're going to lose, doesn't it?" said Dart from the stands. Rose let out an exasperated sigh beside him.

"Should we tell her?" asked Miranda.

"Yes," said Lavitz. "It's the right thing to do."

"I was afraid you'd say that," the older White Silver Dragoon replied. "Shana! Listen to me, you idiot girl!"

"She called me an idiot!" cried Shana.

"Nobody thinks you're an idiot, Shana," said Dart.

"Actually..." came several voices.

"Oh, shut up!" Miranda butted in. "Shana, you have an attack called White Silver Dragon. Use it!"

"I never used that attack!" yelled Shana.

"It doesn't matter," said Rose. "You're allowed to use it, by the rules. Though, for the record, I take that fact as proof that fate hates us."

"Oh," said Shana. As Samus rushed towards her for his second attack, she transformed into Dragoon, and one summon later, Samus' smoking body slumped to the arena floor.

"I won!" yelled Shana. "I won! Look at me, Dart, I won!"

"You realise," muttered Haschel. "That we're going to have to put up with this every week for the rest of this tournament, right?"

"Don't rub it in," muttered Miranda, wondering why she couldn't have drawn an easy opponent like her much less bright White Silver counterpart.
