Season 56, Week 3
Kanon
(Wild Arms 2)

This is a battle far more likely to get Kanon's blood pumping than last week's waste of time. Instead of a glorified dog, the mechanic mercenary now faces a rebel swordmaster. Both stem from savage, unforgiving worlds where fighting is but a prerequisite for survival. Both are masterful at their physical powers, carrying unique, frightening power styles. However, Kanon has a distinct advantage over the samurai revolutionary: blistering speed. Against Tosh's surprisingly frail build, her Gats will easily ravage him before his brutal swordskills come into play. It's to be expected, after all: even Tosh's bloody background is nothing compared to the arid plains of Filgaia as a training field.

Finally, someone has fallen to Tosh’s deadly sword in the arena, and the DL's most prolific samurai (if only due to relative lack of competition) is ready to prove his win wasn’t a fluke. And who better to prove it against than the DL's most prolific cybernetic ninja (if only because most other ninjas are generally good at evading the need to have limb replacements)? Kanon is fast and damaging - or, at least, she is fast and damaging until Tosh’s Monji Slash decimates all of her stats, ending -that- problem. And with Yukari’s Crest powering up his skillful swordslashes, Tosh has the ravishing firepower to even stand up to Kanon’s dreaded boss form if need be!

It's a classic. A wandering samurai vs a wandering...cyborg? Sure, why not? Anyway, the point is that these two threw down with all they have. Tosh and Kanon went after each other like wild dogs! How does it end? Simple logic. Cold steel lasts far longer than soft flesh. Sure, Kanon is going to be in need of several healing spells, but Tosh is cut in half.
