Season 45, Week 3
Bart Fatima
(Xenogears)

Such a tough prize for winning the challenge of the mental titans; but, in many ways, that's precisely how Bart likes his matches. After defeating Dekar, Bart has run straight into Jean, winner of five matches in a row and perhaps one of the most feared frogs here or anywhere. Of course, you wouldn’t expect someone like Bart to be fearful. He doesn’t have the capacity for that, much less the mental ability to understand the base concept of fear. While he’d love to squish the frog with his Omnigear, Bart will have to settle for whipping him to death. With his superior speed, he only needs to last a few turns before he can beat his opponent into the ground like the chubby little frog-man he so happens to be, and move onto his next unlucky foe.

Trés bien, trés bien! The french hopping prince Jean and his trusty Death spell have managed to pull through an entire Light season, and his simple yet deadly strategy seems to hold up in the new division just as well! Certainly this new match will bring better prospects, non? Prince Bartholomew Fatima may have the power of piracy by his side, but he's certainly not the bright and cute mascot that would bring thousands of fans into a rage! Far the contrary: Bart is kind of a moron, and as vulnerable to Death as anything else - possibly more, considering how completely and utterly dumb he happens to be. In any case, once again, Death should handle this fool, and Jean can go back to more leisurely activities, like painting and going to the Middle semis.

When you have a kingdom, looks and a cool eyepatch, everything seems alright, right?

Well, Bart wanted more. With a name to make for his duelling prowess, if he won a Duelling League belt, he'd surely have it all. As such, he got into this season's lineup, ready to bust physical fighters and mages alike with Wild Smile and his magic-busting whip.

Too bad this strategy ran into a wall when Jean casted Death. Even with such a good strategy to disable his foes, Bart can't really deal with a spell that just kills you dead. Back to the drawing board of the Yggdrasil, it seems.
