Season 40, Week 2
Palmer
(Final Fantasy VII)

Ah, Palmer. Shinra's aerospace chief isn't exactly a notable employee, let alone a model dueller. Being the favored target of truckers everywhere, losing to a blind mage who lacks attack spells, and having one of the lowest rankings in the entire DL does so sour one's reputation. Well, the time has come to turn this train around! No longer will Palmer be easy prey for young girls singing in his general direction, no more shall he fear any random schlub who points a sixteen-wheeler in his direction! There's a brand new Palmer on the scene, and this one is kicking ass and taking names (... hopefully)! Starting with... Natan? Doesn't he know there's usually an H in there? Ah, whatever. He's trying to take on Palmer's Mako Gun with nothing but antiquated pistols. How smart could he be? Cause of death: superior firepower!

The Gun-fu Master Natan comes under the shadows, eyes sharp as a hawkeye's, hunting his prey; through the shadows and cityscapes, the villages and temples, always vigilant, always subtle, he pursues. A flash, the flower of sparks from the barrel of his guns, a piercing shriek, a powerful blast, and another foe will lie helpless, destroyed by his masterful Gun-Fu. His first opponent in this new hunting ground called the Duelling League is hardly any different; a portly, lardy, incompetent and arrogant man with a weak gun of his own - which has ammunition issues, to boot. Unacceptable behaviors for a true hunter. Natan's Gun-Fu will destroy Palmer without hesitation, thrashing his frail form. After that, he shall return to the shadows, awaiting the next time his guns are called upon.

Natan woke up in the morning with two things bothering him.

Thing #1: Some guy named "John Woo" has been calling Natan from the year 1986. In frusteration, Natan threw his phone out the window by the end of breakfast.

Thing #2: Natan needed to get a ride to the RPGDL Arena. He was going to call for a taxi, but he was shortly reminded that he got rid of his phone. Ultimately, Natan decided to give a shot at this newfangled driving stuff. On his way to the stadium, he started to lose control of his Ford Model T and hit a large but squishy object on the sidewalk. He thought nothing of it and continued driving towards the arena.

As it turns out, the squishy object was Palmer.
