Season 36, Week 3
Liete
(Grandia)

Well, color me red! What a great way to start a brand new season! Liete's hard-earned victory over the android Demi surely bodes well for her future success. While this new battle might be pathetically easy, it will still look good on her record. The legendary Valkyrie Hrist is known for being... well, look at her old record! A failure in Light, slave to Odin? Please! A janitor's fangirl surely can't be an opponent worthy of Liete's time! That said, Liete won't be taking any chances - just in case Hrist has learned a trick or two. Liete's typical strategy of using Enclose to hold her foe in place while she pummels them with powerful Gadzaps and Meteostrikes still holds true and will see her through this fight in an instant. Considering that it's Hrist of all people, this shouldn't take more than a single spell. This match is in the bag for the watcher of Arent.

Hrist Valkyrie knows mages like the palm of her hand. Deviously treacherous, mindnumbingly megalomaniac simpletons who think, in the height of their haughty arrogance, that they know everything in the face of the earth and all of the hidden lores until the moment of a heated battle. And all their theories and hexes fall apart against a trusty blade - yes, the Valkyrie knows them very well. Her battle with Mazus was true to form, and there's little reason to suspect the guardian of Arent would pose any more of a challenge, being equally vulnerable to her Basilisk spear, but even slower. Liete's Enclose may be impressive may impress mortals, but a truly annointed warrior knows better than to give her the time to use it. A few stings from her trusty javelin will end this battle quickly as it will start, proving once again the futility of magic against the divine.

Perverts have been found in the Duelling League's annals many a time.

Very, very many.

However, there are always new, and exciting, ways to use perversion!

---

"...Okay, this has officially gotten too weird for me." Liete noted, staring at her large, rolled up ball of perverts. "Wandering around the Duelling League, rolling perverts up into giant balls? Who could possibly be this deranged?"

---

"Who made Anise a judge, and why does she have that ridiculous outfit on her doll? And why did she make a big deal about telling everyone it was an outfit of a Prince or something?" Rolf asked, curiously, as he stared at the small girl yelling at the duellers rolling up perverts into balls.

"Kefka." Yuna replied, simply. "Oh. That explains it. But I didn't think non-ranked people could be judges." "Kefka." "...right, never mind."

---

Ultimately, Hrist, in her sheer determination to never be a laughing stock again, easily won.

Well, that, and she, you know. Has wings when she needs them, along with the strength of the gods.

Ultimately, unlike Liete, who simply muttered and stammered during the entire thing, Hrist enjoyed the entire proceedings greatly. How often do you get to stab a large ball of perverts for being too noisy?

Liete: 14
Hrist Valkyrie: 50
