Valter is a classic villain. He has the arrogant and completely evil head tilt, the hateful and generally destructive disposition, and lots of power which to inflict his will. Valter isn’t in it for the money or the fame; he just loves to rape, pillage, murder, and do all kinds of other dastardly things. He is a Wyvern Rider, but lacks the vulnerability to arrows that most of his flying kind shares. If Ephraim and Eirika’s army can manage to weed through the hordes of men the empire sends at you, only then can they challenge Valter, and it’s certainly not easy to defeat him. One critical or Pierce, and you’re good as dead. Valter is truly both a vulgar man and a nasty fighter.
