Season 12, Week 1
Long Chan Chan
(Suikoden II)

Ready to avenge his student Wakaba's downgrade to Light, Long Chan Chan appears poised to prove that his fighting style is far too much for such depths. If wishes to win, however, he must use his solid speed to act first in battle. Mara is a very frail fighter, one whom LCC should easily defeat with two hits. On the flipside, Mara holds very powerful magic, which will do serious damage to even Chan's wealth of hit points. If he can make the first move, take two of Mara's spells, or even fell Mara in a single blow, Long Chan Chan will prove the worth of his fighting style forevermore!

With Nara having failed twice to pick up a DL win, Mara steps up and tries to prove the might of the Monbaraba sisters. Although she's a touch on the frail side, her offense is nothing short of scary. Her ultimate fire magic packs an immensely strong punch, and her high speed gives her the chance to cast it before her questionable durability comes into play. Long Chan Chan may have powerful attacks and outstanding HP, but his power isn't enough to kill off Mara in one hit... and not even one as seasoned as he can take two bursts of Blazemost.

Starphoenix das Helpoemer
Normally, a High HP character like Long Chan Chan would stick out like a sore thumb in the Suikoden 2 cast. He easily dwarfs everyone in the cast with his considerable girth and decent attack, with an HP score that puts him toward the high end of the entire scale. Surely he would have no trouble with a fragile mage girl?

Of course then, that would be before Blazemost comes into play and fricases his Martial Art behind to Kingdom Come. High HP means little if you don't have the defense to back it up. And with that, Mara grinds him into ashes.
