Season 29, Week 2
Mara
(Dragon Warrior IV)

The ancient battle of magic against technology. Born long before the humble gypsy dancer Mara, this conflict is oddly new to her. Of course, Nicolus comes from a world in which advanced combat androids can actually wield magic, but hey. No, the deciding factor in this match is extremely simple. While Mara is a textbook example of a successful offensive mage, Nicolus is a piss-poor combat android, the weakest of a group often called "The Loser Trio". Yup, Mara's going to have to learn a new dance for this one; the cakewalk, and it will be almost as sweet as this victory.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What else is there to be said about Nicolus? One of the mightiest of the Wisemen, he struck terror into the hearts of Nede, and is about to do the same to Middle! And his first opponent should not escape the wave of fear, either! Nicholus will easily tear through Mara given her pathetic durability, and even the strongest of Mara's magic won't make a dent in Nicholus's HP. He may even be generally the most forgettable of the Ten Wisemen, but he's still more than a match for some half-baked magic user dancer thingy! Right?

The problem with this battle is that there is a fundamental flaw in Nicolus' strategies.

You see, his main strategy here is blasting a somewhat scantily clad woman with lots of water. Over and over. Until she falls over dead. With an occasional weak blast of energy beams to keep her from getting too close.

You can see the problem, can't you?

Nicolus certainly did.

Unfortunately, they still can't get the Ultima Weapon out of there. Sten's daggers already had taken a seventeen-hour long operation to remove.

Nicolus' brilliant cybernetic brain is already hard at work trying to fix the problem. But first, he has to stop thinking about Teletubbies.
