An easy matchup lies ahead of half-elf and closet pervert Arche. While Philia's world isn't quite the same as her own, Philia is still in many ways her counterpart among the Tales of Destiny cast. Unfortunately for Philia, though, she seems to have lost a number of vital skills in the transition. Notably, while she has the same robust assortment of elemental-beatdown spells that Arche possesses, Philia neglected her studies in the instant death department. And if she wants to use those elemental spells in combat...well, good luck getting through Arche's defenses. Nope, much like last week, all Arche really needs here is her Distortion spell, which will rob Philia of her life well before the swordian mage breaks through Arches layers of elemental resistance.

Philia's not a witch, but she's pretty handy with a blade. Squishy wizarding types, like Arche, may be deluded into thinking that they have a shot against her in the field of magic, but that's where the 'hit people hard with sharp things' part comes in. Sure, Arche has instant death....but a sword through the gut brings death fast enough, wouldn't you agree? The fact is that besides Distortion Arche is extremely frail and vulnerable, while Philia at least can take a couple of hits. So Arche can go ahead and try to cast...but that leaves her wide open to anything Philia cares to throw at her. Arche will fall long before instant death can take effect. She seems nice enough, supposed perversion aside, but there can be only one Middle Champion, and it'll be Philia!
