Season 57, Week 3
Cid Highwind
(Final Fantasy VII)

Look! In the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane! No, it's a... pottymouth of an astronaut wannabe? That's right, get back in your seats and drink up your tea 'cause Cid Highwind is jumping back into action. Right into a match that looks bad at first, but Guy's known for lacking in strength. Even better, with his trusty spear in hand, Cid's got the weapon advantage over Guy, making his hits even weaker. And while Guy will be getting in at least two hits for every one Cid does, all that'll happen if they're flimsy is just getting the aviator mad, and he won't like Cid when he's angry. So stay tuned and prepare to gawk as Cid continues to go up, up, and AWAY!

Evadable melee physicals against an FE swordmaster is hardly a wise idea. Cid may kick ass and take names, but that does him no good when he gets shredded in close quarters combat by Guy's swift swordsmanship. The Sacae plainsman is as deadly as it comes in Middle at melee skirmishes. High speed means he'll easily double the foulmouthed captain of the Highwind, and evasion means Cid's gonna have issues making any damage stick. No amount of colorful terminology is going to make Cid's damage more threatening, and nothing is going to slow down the honorable Swordmaster's second march through Middle's open fields.

Gatewalker

Normally, if there's one thing that Fire Emblem swordmasters are good at, it's chipping past physical limit fighters. Like, say, Cid Highwind. But sometimes, even these paragons of speed and grace drop the ball and flub things up just a bit.

Of course when the "mistake" that Guy made was to accidentally double critical Cid in the face before he'd even gotten any chipping done, I'm sure his fans and castmates will forgive him the slip.

The janitors, on the other hand...

Cid Highwind: 15
Guy: 37
