Season 47, Week 2
Scythe Riebauer
(Wild ARMs 4)

Nine out of ten vampires would agree that Jeane is the perfect, classic example of a target victim, but Scythe won't hear it. People would say things about those who wouldn't be distracted by Jeane's... assets. However, there's only one girl in mind for Scythe, and his penchant for flat chests turns out to have unforseen bonuses besides drinking Crimson Noble blood! His time-space magic is tough to beat, even if Jeane may just have her own time-space magic secrets of her own. Her magic defense is solid, but her overall durability and speed are not, leaving an opening for Scythe to mow her down. All he really needs to do to ensure victory is to remember a quick recharge with Belial before the match begins, and this fight's in the bag.

Suikoden's seductive and mysterious rune mistress is back and looking to redeem herself after a humiliating first-round loss so many seasons ago. Frying some delusional, wannabe vampire is just the way to get back into her game! Scythe might seem to present a problem for a glass cannon like Jeane - after all, he can dodge magic - but he can't evade forever, and Jeane has an ample supply of firepower (among other things). Well, and the likes of a Wild Arms 4 boss shouldn't take more than one or two good hits. Perhaps more importantly, the "Crimson Noble's" arsenal is purely nonphysical and will have little effect on the magically resilient Jeane. All too easy. Against the awesome might of Furious Blow, what the hell is Scythe supposed to -

Scythe Reibauer lounged around the DL pre-match waiting room, his arm careless draped over the shoulder of his beloved Belial. He hadn't bothered to do much research on his upcoming opponent after hearing he was up against some flimsy mage-chick.

Belial smiled sweetly up at him, uncharacteristically adoring. She wanted to see him succeed so badly. Scythe, of course, decided it wouldn't hurt to get a little 'pick-me-up' before the match, even if he wasn't concerned about his opponent. Besides, he kinda liked it. He was kind of sleazy like that.

And so, true to his nature as a 'Crimson Noble', he savored a bite of his beloved's neck, letting his girlfriend's inhuman power flow into him. He was ready for this match.

Jeane was ready, too. She'd heard tales of the would-be vampire's power. While largely unsuccessful, he was formidable none-the-less. She had done some research, however, and was more-than-prepared as they walked into the arena.

Belial cheered for her lover from the stands.

Jeane's plan was ready. She would avoid her usual Lightning Rune strategy for something far more sinister - a Charm Rune strategy.

Scythe was a dedicated man, to be sure... but one look at Jeane and he joined the ranks of types like Zidane and Edge.

...and Belial would be having none of that.

Jeane's just lucky that Belial had the typical tsundere-anime-girl reaction to beat up on her lover instead of the seductress.
