It's funny how Lilka's easiest match yet is at the finals. A slow mage with fancy - but hardly threatening - magic, a very shallow MP supply and little else? Lucca's in for the beating of her life. The speedy Lilka can just keep up with her infinite stock of full healing until the scientist runs out of fuel. Next, we have Lucca's Sleep-inflicting Hypno Wave. Not the greatest trick, and it's particularly useless when Lilka casts Rise&Shine. Even Lucca's bullets are useless against the crest sorceress' Air Screen and Quick spells, raising her speed and evade to insane levels with time. And this is not even mentioning what Reflect will do to Lucca's magic. In the end, it takes no scientist skills to realize Lilka has every single card in her hands.

Three times already, science has been pitted against magic, and each time, the genius of Lucca Ashtear has emerged victorious. Cray, Eileen, and Tengaar all tried to wield their earthly cantrips against Lucca, but all in vain. And although this so-called Eleniak witch-girl sports a more diverse skillset, she will meet the same fate. Lucca's magic defence is peerless, and no simple crest sorcery will even scratch her. This gives her all the time in the world to put Lilka to sleep with Hypno Wave, blast her awake with Flare, and repeat until her opponent is well-done. The power of science is going to claim yet another victory this week, and finally earn the main Chrono Trigger team its long-awaited first championship.
