Season 12, Week 2
Irvine Kinneas
(Final Fantasy VIII)

Normally, Irvine would have poor odds of felling a final boss on his own. This enemy, however, is Evil Gaia, and is everything the normally outgunned FF8 fighter loves to see in an opponent. Irvine's opponent has consistently low damage output, which cannot help but draw the sniper into Limit range, and once that happens, all that's needed is to slot in the Pulse Ammo and blast Evil Gaia to shreds. Barring an inconveniently timed nervous breakdown, there's little to stop Irvine from victoriously advancing to the next round.

The most feared evil in all of Grandia laughs at the irony of his opening match this week. Finally, he has been given a chance to avenge his wrongful defeat seasons ago at the hands of another Final Fantasy VIII scrub, Quistis Trepe. Few foes can outpace this mass of concentrated evil, and even fewer can endure his world-shattering magic attacks. Evil Gaia's durability gives him little to fear from Irvine's gunmanship, allowing him to pummel the poor cowboy with Burn! and Howl. Evil shall triumph, because good is dumb.

There are very few things in this world that are more pathetic than FF8 characters in the DL...

Evil Gaia just happens to be one of those...
