Season 38, Week 3
Isaac
(Golden Sun)

Of all the elements in the world, there is none that is as steadfast as Earth. Strong, trustworthy, and most of all, durable, earth is one of the hardest elements to take down. Earth Psynergist Isaac embodies all these traits. His thundery foe may hit hard, but Geddoe’s hits also come slowly, giving Isaac plenty of time to use his Quartz summon to halve Geddoe’s damage, or to strike the Rune Bearer with powerful Earth magics. And of course, if Geddoe fails to kill in one hit, then Isaac can fully heal until the cows come home. Combine that with Quartz, and you get a long, long fight - one where a spellcaster with enough tricks can easily seize the advantage. Yes, Lightning may be a powerful element, but it can not hurt the steadfast Earth.

As impressive as the ability to control Djinns is, it can't compare to the True Lightening Rune. Geddoe is also more than a match for the youthful Isaac in fighting ability and experience, and his superior power will make the difference here. Isaac can prolong things by using his various tricks to fiddle with Geddoe's damage, but he'll run out of resources eventually, and sooner or later Hammer of Raijin will be smash Isaac, with no damage penalty. He has healing, true, but he'll always be on the defensive in this fight, and his healing won't last much longer than any of his other abilities. Isaac cannot compete with Geddoe in a slugfest after that. Isaac's put up a good fight, but he's not in the same league as Geddoe, and he'll learn that lesson in this fight.

Isaac was prepared this time.

He'd gotten told exactly what to do before the match.

Repeatedly.

By Garet.

Then he confirmed it with Mia, Felix, several random NPCs and a Djinn before heading into the arena.

He would fight his best, this time! There would be no embaressment as before!

But why was everyone screaming?

...Hey, wait, how would a Djinn know where...

"That wasn't nice." Nina the Second noted, as a giggling Deis watched Isaac calmly walk into the women's locker room.

"Oh, come on. Doing that to the underdeveloped silent mains is fun. You'd do it too, if you knew as much illusion magic." "I meant to the girls." "Oh. Well, the girls always like the silent mains. I'm sure it'll just end in a catfight." Deis shrugged. "There've been less random pervert assaults lately. They need something to shake them up." She added with a smile.

Ultimately, Isaac never made it to the match.

However, he does seem to be dating Kasumi now, so it's not all bad.
