Season 55, Week 1
Emelia
(SaGa Frontier)

Supermodel turned Charlie's Angel knockoff shoots villain in a wedding dress. What's not to love about Emelia? The girl's mastered the fashion runway and the lowest depths of despair with the same skill. She's shown more grace under fire, literally and metaphorically, than most people have to in their entire lives, and possesses an aplomb that few could even hope to match. The loss of her fiancee, the struggles to avenge his killer - all help make Emelia what she is, which is a deadly shooter and worthy foe for Nina. She's quicker than Nina, tougher by a fair stretch, and has far more damage than Nina's pitiful wind storms could ever hope for. It's time for Ryu's companion to look into ways to handle this latest defeat, -and- deal with Emelia's catty comments about her horrible outfit as well!

The wingly princess dons her staff and arcane lore to battle once again in the Duelling League. Her newest challenger is... a secret spy gunner lady who escaped from jail. This unlikely undercover agent may be rich in fanservice, but guns akimbo nonsense aside, Emelia is hardly well-equipped to handle Nina. In spite of her seemingly frail appearance, Nina can take hits surprisingly well, and has no weakness to long-range offense, along with having enviable speed and near-infinite resources to spam her wind and healing spells. Meanwhile, the gunner girl may even be able to keep up with the princess for quickness of foot, but she lacks the resources and offense to handle the bird princess. This match is bound to be quite simple, if not quick, but that's par for the course in Nina's fights.

Bullets flew everywhere! The shots rang throughout the arena, before...

"Okay, okay! I get the damn point! I can't shoot you through a wall of wind!" Emelia cursed, dropping his weapons as Nina the Fourth half-smiled.

"It was a good try, though?" the winged princess offered, causing Emelia to shoot her a glare as she stalked out.
