Taking the mantle of Alma Kinan's honor and holding true to the oath against evil, the brave archer Yuiri readies herself to another gruelling challenge in the Duelling League arena. The Fiend of Fire, Kary, could have been a fine addition to the ranks of the Kinan clan in different circumstances - most of them related to the fact she is an evil, monstrous servant of Chaos. As is, though, she is a fearsome enemy that must be vanquished for the sake of all living things. And, in this fight, as uphill as it may seem, Yuiri has two advantages: first, her plentiful and painful criticals ignore Kary's brutal defenses, which will ensure a quick kill. Second, her healing will keep her up against the Fiend's notable offense. As long as Yuiri can fend off the threat of Hold and Kary's other powers, she can triumph against evil!

Just like the burning spirit of your typical anime action hero, the flames of Kary shall never die. Her unfortunate defeat now long consigned to dust in the annals of the League's history, the original fiend of fire returns to the arena at long last, armed and ready for her quest to get into Godlike - while snagging a championship along the way. The first annoying pebble in her road to an upgrade is Yuiri, one of those lesbian archers from that world whose workings and magics are governed by 27 genuine rocks and tattoos and the random teenaged nobles who hold them. As with most PCs, a simple Hold reduces the Alma Kinan to a defenseless training dummy on which Kary will be free to practice her sword techniques. Victory will be quick, easy, and hardly even a workout for the fire demon.

It was a short, brutal fight. Yuiri is a respectable fighter in her own right, but Kary is a whole different class of fighter. Brutally strong, resistant against Yuiri's status, and as tough as nails. The Alma Kinnan native had no chance. Kary ended the fight in a few savage attacks, leaving the crowd stunned.
The crowd was even more stunned when a spaceship landed on the victorious Kary, flattening her instantly. Much less surprising (and groan inducing) was Edge popping out of the spaceship, looking rather annoyed.
"I'm going to choke out Kain. No, not that Kain. The other one. He did a half assed job of fixing this ship. The gas milage is horrible- hey, is that Yuiri there? As my dear old dad said, you can never have too many lesbians. Or was that Katanas? Bah, same difference."
Edge quickly scooped up the still unconscious Yuiri into his arms and sped off (Well, as quickly as a beaten up spaceship piloted by a semi oblivious Ninja could be). Yumi and the rest of the Suikoden 3 crew was not amused by having their castmate kidnapped.
Yumi screaming 'EDGEEEEEE!' could be heard throughout the entire arena, loud enough and with enough force to shatter glass.
Edge didn't notice this, of course. He had bigger, better things on his mind. Oh yes.
Yuiri: 19
Kary: 53
