Season 32, Week 1
Popoi
(Secret of Mana)

It's a bouncy, happy opening week for Popoi! Finally back in his rightful division, the sprite even got a free win for his homecoming match! Brad Evans, the former hero of Slayheim, may be an ARMs expert and stereotypical badass, but nothing can save him from Popoi's brutal array of magic! Being faster, the cheerful sprite can simply have Brad doze off, courtesy of Sleep Flower, and then blast him away with a stun-locking barrage of Evil Gates, Exploders and Rock Slides before he ever has so much as a chance to counter. And even if he does, Energy Drain will heal it all away while hurting him even more. If all matches in Heavy are that easy this season, Popoi will earn his second belt in no time flat!

Prisoner 666 (not to be confused with Prisoner 24601), Brad Evans. His reputation as a zombie-looking, Rail Gun toting, clone chucking, government-overthrowing, explosive-necked badass is known far and wide. He is here to avenge the early loss he suffered in his first battle, and to give Middle Champion Popoi a rude welcome to the Heavy bracket. With an arsenal armies would be jealous of, including - but not limited to - a satellite cannon, grenades and his legendary Rail Gun, Brad is set to welcome Popoi with a literal 21-gun salute, direct to the face. Not only that, but Brad is built like a tank himself, able to take some serious punishment before he'll go down. When all is done with, he'll roll over Popoi easily.

Sometimes, you have to do what you have to do.

The means justify the ends, the ultimate rewards justify cruelty, and the world will forgive you.

Popoi knew this was one of those times.

"...Popoi, good is not just keeping yourself from getting shot!" Purim yelled at Popoi.

"...what? It sounded pretty good to me!" Popoi argued. "He forfeited, too!"

"You threatened to boil his dog!" Purim yelled, smacking him. "You even had the rope and the pot set up and everything! What were you thinking!?"

"...That I didn't want to get shot? This isn't very complicated." Popoi sighed.

"Auuugh!" Purim stormed off.

"...You need to learn to just keep your plans away from her." Randi noted. "Now I need to follow her, before she punches some Godlike to death." He added, running after Purim.

"...darn it. Doesn't anyone think it's good that I managed to keep anyone from getting hurt?" Popoi said, sniffling. "No matter how I did it?"

"Hmhmhm. I do, little one. I do." Ghaleon said, looking down at Popoi.

"You do? Yippee! Could you teach me that Chaos Shield thing, then?" Popoi asked eagerly.

"...Don't push your luck."

"Fate Storm?" Popoi begged. "..." Ghaleon sighed.

"Rock 'n Roll?" Popoi pleaded.

"..I'll think about it." Ghaleon finally said. "Let's go talk a while. I think you have a bright future ahead of you." He added, smiling down at the sprite...
