Season 21, Week 1
Lloyd Irving
(Tales of Symphonia)

All hail the first arrival of Tales of Symphonia in the RPGDL! Brave, idealistic, and kind-hearted (though also a little dense), Lloyd is ready to show off just what he and his friends are capable of. With the Material Blades of Origin in his hands, Lloyd can match Bowie legendary weapon for legendary weapon with no problems. While Bowie's dreaded Bolt magic would scare most foes, Lloyd's glorious Mumbane armour shields him from the worst effects of a giant lightning bolt (i.e. that unsightly "fried" look). With Bowie's biggest trump card out of the way, it'll be a simple battle of sword vs sword(s), and this is where Lloyd holds the most important advantage. With the full force of Falcon Crest waiting in the wings and good durability to back it up, Lloyd has all the tricks he needs to win a spectacular opening match for the Tales cast.

Following on the heels of so many of his soldiers, the leader of the Shining Force of Guardiana finally makes his first appearance in the duelling arena. Armed with the Force Sword and his superlative innate abilities, Bowie will begin the season with a match of strength against strength as he tries to topple another party leader and first-time duelist. Both Bowie and Lloyd are capable physical fighters, but Bowie is not just a strong swordsman, but incredibly durable, sporting the best physical durability in his game, through rock-sturdy defense and stellar HP, along with solid speed. Along with his overpowering Bolt4 magic and the sheer strength of the Force Sword, his staying power will be more than enough to see him through this swordsmen's duel, and keep him in the ranks of the (technically) undefeated.

In the time it took me to figure out who to vote for in Lloyd vs. Bowie I could've saved a bunch of money on my car insurance by switching to Geico.

Anyway Lloyd has the disadvantage in Endurance and damage but he has a HUGE advantage in speed and makes Bolt worthless. So I say he should win this one by a bit.
