Season 56, Week 4
Kanon
(Wild Arms 2)

So, Alys thinks she's such a great hunter does she? Well, let's see how Motavia's best hunter fares against the greatest bounty hunter Filgaia's ever known! Kanon is ready for action here and she doesn't mind that she has to take down a fellow guild member to reach the Heavy finals. That's what this is all about, isn't it? She's the boss here, so Alys' trusty ID isn't gonna help her in this match. Kanon can also keep up with Alys step for step, and with Kanon's damage things aren't looking good for Alys. Too bad there's no grievance she can file with the union, because that's just how things go in the arena - but at least they can commiserate over a few drinks after the fighting's over.

A boss... how annoying. Well, no matter. Alys might not have her trusty Death spell to fall back on here, but that's not all the experienced Hunter has under her belt. She also packs some rather nasty Fire damage under her belt, which will do wonders against Kanon's paltry HP total. Since neither side can really do much about the other's damage, this will be quick and brutal. Alys just has to bum rush her opponent and hope that when the dust falls, she's still standing. Alys can also opt to use her Wind spell or stat-boosting if she can get away with it, so she's not limited on options here either. In any case, this will be a tough match - and since when has Alys ever backed down from a fight?

Kanon smirked at her opponent, and one-shotted her.

It was just that simple. One moment, Kanon was still, another she was pulling back her fist, and then...done.

As Alys sailed over the crowd gracefully before exploding in the sky, Kanon's words could be heard clearly.

"Eagle Claw, Falcon Punch...close enough to understand."

Unfortunately, Kanon has sealed off her newest technique, due to it being entirely too silly.
