How do you best the Wings of Valmar in a heated fight? Certainly, it isn't by trying to outlast her brutal Spellbinding Eye attack - that'd be just futile. Neither is it by trying to swiftly dodge it it- as Millenia's demon-granted powers laugh at evasion of any sort. There's only one way to stop Millenia and her terrifying attacks - a quick blade to the heart. Now, that's something the nimble Marisa can do: there's none faster than the mercenary lady in Heavy with the sword, and she has quite a bodycount behind her to prove it. Her swordswomanship and speed lets her strike before Millenia can even blink, and while Millenia's offense is scary, even fatal, her defense is nothing to write home about. With a decisive strike, the gellid swordswoman will end things here and there, just like in a true duel of blades. |

Mmmm, that choirboy was a nice warmup for Millenia, but the Wings of Valmar certainly can't just go around stomping clerics with her heels all season, right? Granted, her next opponent isn't much higher up in the food chain - a skimpily dressed swordgirl is hardly a diversion, all in all. Maybe if she was more like her boss Gerik, with those rugged good looks and chiseled body... oh well. Marisa's nimbleness will be useless against Millenia's vast ITE arsenal - Spellbinding Eye alone will keep her frozen in place, leaving her victim to Millenia's usual grilling business: a few Dragonzaps and a finishing strike with Grudging Claws will make for a fine Marisa ground hamburger. And here's hoping for something a little more exciting next week - the Wings of Valmar deserve some fun, after all, and she's had almost none so far. |
superaielman One slice. Blood is drawn. Two slices, and Millenia's life blood spills onto the floor. Marisa only gets two slices. While Millenia may be near death, she sure ain't dead. A spellbinding Eye and chain of savage Valmar fueled attacks made that a very clear point. Letting the Wings of Valmar get a turn is asking to die, no matter how evasive you are. Marisa: 12 |
