Ted's measured Nina from head to toe, and found the winged princess of Wyndia lacking. The once-Light may have downed Squall, a former Middle himself, but that's far from impressive feat for someone staring down a former Godlike. All of Nina's magic and all of her options boil down to nothing against Ted. The magess is slower than the master of the Soul Eater rune, which will prove to be the fatal flaw in Nina's chance to win - and thus, Nina's going to face the full power of Ted's Judgement. It won't be a pretty thing to down such a young woman - especially in Season XXX! - but at least Nina won't suffer for too long.

After getting her first win since her double upgrade so many seasons ago, Nina Wyndia is prepared to make her mark on the DL once again. This week, she fights Ted, Suikoden IV's Soul Eater wielder. This match will not be a long, drawn-out fight, since it's either Ted's Judgment or Nina's instant death magic that will bring a quick and bloodless (although painful) ending to the match. The frail mages are both fairly speedy, so the quick draw is very important! This flaxen-haired heroine will finally prove her stripes in Heavy by winning this match against a former Godlike, and she might be heading for her THIRD title.

Conceptually, this is a fairly interesting match. Not in terms of the skills or personae of the duellers involved, but on a symbolic level. That is to say, both are enormous sex symbols, Nina the Second being "the hot one", and Ted being one of the poster boys of tragic yaoi romance. It's not quite as glamorous as a high-profile yaoi/yuri match between Dart and KOS-MOS, maybe, but it's certainly material enough for dozens of aspiring young college students to BS thesises out of.
Of course, the fact that Ted immediately blasted Nina into constituant particles with Judgement may hinder their efforts, but I rather doubt it. (After all, think of the things you could build with the base components of Nina! Just don't get caught at it.)
Ted: 44
Nina Wyndia: 43
