Returning once again to the fields of Godlike is the former Heavy Champion from all the way back in the second season. In the first round of Season Sixteen, Dario is once again pitted against a Breath of Fire villain. With an incredibly large number of counterattacks and powerful fighting techniques backed by the (one of many) Masamune(s) he should be able to smash his opponent to pieces. This time, instead of being pitted against the master, Myria, Dario now faces simply her underling Jade. This will be a proud day for Dario as he seeks to follow in Miguel's footsteps.

 The thundering bug lord returns to the arena, ready to follow in Myria's footsteps and win a championship of his own. Armed with the mighty powers of BoltX and...BoltX...and BoltX, Jade is more than capable of handling any who challenge his might. Though Dario is a formidable adversary and a previous Heavy champion, not even he can withstand the might of Jade's fearsome arsenal of magical might (read: BoltX) for very long. Soon, Jade shall follow in the path of his mistress, and conquer the realm of Godlike like so many other Breath of Fire villains have done in the past.

I was all primed to make a pun about one of Dario's attacks and Jade's lighting techniques. Then I remembered that it's called ConductaRod in this game, not Spire. And thus, you were all spared. Well, all save for Dario.

Jade stood tall and laughed. This Dario.. "A single spell of mine forces him to counter? What a joke. Not like he can withstand BoltX for long.."Much to Jade's surprise, Dario came into the ring wearing sneakers, a large shield hewn from ice, and carrying Caladbolg."Fancy gear, scum. Prepare to meet your maker. BoltX!"

To Jade's surprise, Dario just stood there, smirking. Pointing to his shoes, Dario raised a sword he just happened to 'borrow' from Tidus and charged. "It's nice to have people so willing to loan out equipment, isn't it?" Jade reeled from the Dash and Gash. "Arg..." Jade took a clumsy swing at Dario, but was easily evaded and hit back with a counter that sliced through his defenses.Dario picked up the sword, and pointed to the sky. "Even for one as cursed as I, victory is not impossible. Learn to take the might of a Dragoon more seriously.. in your next life!"

Jade's vision was filled with red, then suddenly, nothing.
