Everyone’s favorite Manillo, Gobi is one of the more accomplished merchants in the Duelling League, his stores providing competition even for the mighty commercial empires of Ramus or Nate Nanjo. Sadly, mercantile savvy isn’t the best training for life or death combat, and in battle Gobi tends to be like, well, a fish out of water. Of course, since Light is chock full of combatants just as inept, Gobi’s right back in his element, and being a bit below average is shockingly effective when most of your opponents are rather significantly below average. While this excellent theory hasn’t worked out so well in practice, Gobi is still fishing for a win, and sooner or later he’s sure to get a bite.
