I thought that you would take 4 Rei's vs an unscaled Lloyd? Because Lloyd has MT counters, and Weretiger will eventually start attacking other PCs too.

Uhhhhhh.  While Lightning's Ruin is better for my interp's levels than the stat topic indicates, I still think this is too big a cut in damage, and Florina kills first?  Alternatively medic spam gets Lightning killed on a crit.  I would be thrilled to be given an excuse to vote against Florina, though.
Mathias (Suikoden V) vs Albel Nox (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time)
Mathias only has one shot of his parasitic healing IIRC the stat topic.

Why exactly would Light use Ruin?  Even discounting her own disparate stats, Florina is considerably better at Mdef than Def.  Unless you're arguing that FE evade magically fails against FFXIII spell in which case no.

Not sure how many turns. I think the chances may increase as time goes on, but I'm going off of hearsay I read years ago. For obvious reasons, no one really paid attention DLwise enough to document it. If you see Lloy as decently durable, may kick a time or two though (And already, Lloyd gets his initial counter and his death counter for sure, and those already 40%+ MT. Throw in evasion+Weretiger's needing a turn to transform, and Lloyd shouldn't have too many issues. Lloyd really tends to like the multiple PC view against someone like Rei.

Snowfire: Lightning can also switch to the magic weapon for about a 15-20% increase in damage.

(Also I seriously don't remember Weretiger attacking other PCs but it's been awhile since I played BoF3.)

Rei (Breath of Fire III) vs Lloyd (Legend of Dragoon): Seems like a very straightforward win.
Elliot (Legaia 2: Duel Saga) vs Wren (Phantasy Star IV): You're talking about Justin, Super? Chie winning this feels like a stretch.

Middle

Florina (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword) vs Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII): Pretty straightforward. Snowfire, why would levels make a difference to the relative power of Ruin/physicals? FF13 damage increases linearly with stats and all that, physicals are just naturally more damaging (1.2x mult instead of 1x) which is why Lightning only ever uses magic in-game against physically resistant enemies despite fairly similar stats.
Mathias (Suikoden V) vs Albel Nox (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time): Bah, pretty bad rob last week; I guess people don't really check the thread for later developments. That said, Albel wins this week. Florina for champ~

Elliot (Legaia 2: Duel Saga) vs Wren (Phantasy Star IV): Wren is a tough son of a gun. Healing and tanking win the day. Status immunity is icing since that was Elliot's backup.

Middle

Florina (Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword) vs Lightning (Final Fantasy XIII): I guess counters win the day.
Mathias (Suikoden V) vs Albel Nox (Star Ocean: Till the End of Time): Albel is very good at what he does. Honestly I think I'm going to start considering SO3 MP as a separate HP stat that non-SO3 characters have the appropriate scaling equivalent of HP in.. Likely translates better.

Light

Piccolo (Suikoden III) vs Melody Vilente (Wild ARMs 3): Kind of drawing a blank here, but strong attacks work better than chipping against Melody. So sure.

Demon King Piccolo (Suikoden III) vs Seibzehn (Xenogears): I'll bet Piccolo's evade is so bad that Seib's normally bad accuracy is just fine.

Level of weaponry perhaps? Maxed L3's hurt Lightning especially I believe.

Ah, I thought it was something specific to Ruin itself. That makes sense (the stat topic has L2 weapons at least, for all that IIRC Snowfire votes on L1's).
