Quarter Finals

Match 57

I'll be honest, this is the swimsuit contest, and I was planning to just stick up a picture of each.  But, honestly, neither of them inspire people to draw them in a swimsuit.  That said, my research did show that Yang's Wife is surprisingly attractive and, in fact, looks like she's in her twenties, so she's probably 16 or something.  Of course, she's going to have her work cut our for her, as I just can't help but imagine Richard Hawk wearing a star-spangled suit looking all badass as fireworks go off behind him as the star spangled banner is played, and a flight of doves is released.

Match 58

Welcome to Whose Line Is It Anyways, the game where the rules are made up and the points don't matter.  The way it works is that we'll pick out challenges, and the audience will fill in the details, and then our contestants will have to do their best to act them out.  It's ad lib at its finest, and the best one will win a special prize.

Our first contestant is one of the few popes that aren't evil.  Of course, this says nothing about his acting ability, of which I am also completely ignorant.

Her opponent on the other hand is known for being someone limited in what he plays, but still a very avid actor.  That's right, let's give a hand for Mystere, or the White Knight Leo!

Match 59

It's time for the championship match!  The game?  Puppy Kicking!  Why puppies?  Because they'll come back to you!  And so the challenge is combined distance over all of your kicks, over a set period of time.  Making this a match of kicking power, ability to persuade the puppy to return to you, or your ability to go to the puppy, and quite possibly of your ability to battle your own conscience as you continuously boot these adorable, trusting creatures.

Our first competitor, despite being a fine athlete, and superb at the art of getting man and beast alike to trust her, will almost certainly one of those conscience types.  Maria is one of those heroic types, and that's a distinct disadvantage.

On the other side, Rafa and Malak Galthanas may not be as athletic, and far less capable at inspiring trust, but Malak in particular is noted for his willful infliction of cruelty on small animals, and his sister, letting him focus solely on victory.  Of course, detonation of any of the animals involved will lead to a swift disqualification.

Match 60

As Hollywood and fireworks technitians the world over can tell you, there's one thing all people love; large, needless explosions.  And so we're setting these two loose to create the finest display of pyrotechnics they can devise.

Ultros brings in eight arms for additional coordination, as well as a kind of desperate cunning that's hard for even the most resourceful to overcome.  What he may lack in vision, is more than made up with in tenacity.

Opposing him is Cloud Strife.  This amnesiac Soldier may not be a pyrotechnician, but he has several flavours of fire magic as well as coming from a world where they at least have fireworks.  Of course, just having seen these displays before is no guarantee of being able to duplicate them himself.

57: Richard Hawk v Yang's Wife-Swimsuit Contest. Yang's wife is female and thus wins.
58: Fon Master Ion  v White Knight Leo- Whose Line is it Anyways- Leo is goddamned hilarious.
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking- Sadly for the wondertwins, the puppies they target are S3 puppies.  The puppies rise up and promptly beat the shit out of the loser duo.
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics- Cloud works for a terrorist outfit that destroys a mako reactor. Odds are very good he knows what he is doing around explosives.

57: Richard Hawk v Yang's Wife - Swimsuit Contest: Yeah, not sure where the "female = auto-win" idea comes from. Anyway, neither seems great at this, but Richard has two significant advantages: (a) Older men are generally seen as sexier than older women, and (b) Excal's description of Richard's entry to the contest amused me enough to vote for him, here.
58: Fon Master Ion  v White Knight Leo - Whose Line is it Anyways: Outlandish humour doesn't seem like it'd be Ion's thing at all, and it's pretty much necessary for theatre sports.
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking: Maria is certainly pragmatic enough to kick puppies if necessary. Malak might be too, but Rafa will stop him, whining about how they should just run away from all this the whole while.
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics: Yeah, think his experience with explosives will help, here.

Maybe.

57: Richard Hawk v Yang's Wife - Swimsuit Contest
What Dark Holy Elf said.  Harrison Ford was still doing sexy action leads in his 70s.  Society is crueler toward women.  Also star spangled trunks.
58: Fon Master Ion  v White Knight Leo - Whose Line is it Anyways
Improv isn't really Ion.  Leo might be one-note but he can do that one note well.
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking
Maria is easily in the top 3 of all 64 contestants at this, maybe even number 1, as her Triple Kick in game is precisely fantastic as a backoff move to get space.  Can kick three puppies at once, too!  Meanwhile Truth/Untruth misses again and Rafa runs off.
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics
Ultros needs to be able to push heavy weights faster.  Also "Interrupted by Fireworks" is Cloud's theme so therefore he wins yes this makes sense.

57: Richard Hawk v Yang's Wife - Swimsuit Contest - Nothing's saying a woman in her mid-30s still can't look simply fabulous in a swimsuit.  It's almost a draw, truth be told.
58: Fon Master Ion  v White Knight Leo - Whose Line is it Anyways - Are you all doubting the Fun Master?
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking - Rafa's still too pregnant from the competition last week, making Malak even more useless.
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics - Ultros does not like the idea of calamari, kids!

Magic, for the love of all that is right and good in this world, the Craft Disturbing Image contest is over!

.....

Besides, Malak could have dealt with the pregnancy and practised for this event at the same time.

58: Fon Master Ion  v White Knight Leo - Whose Line is it Anyways
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking- I dont see Maria as the puppy kicking type. Becides, with Rafa and Malak, twice the puppies are kicked
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics Cloud should have lost last week, but Ultros +fire makes seafood soup!

Anyone who doesn't vote for Richard Hawk does not have a heart that loves America.

57: Richard Hawk v Yang's Wife - Swimsuit Contest: AMERICA FUCK YEAH BOMB IRAN WOOOOOOOOTTTT!
58: Fon Master Ion  v White Knight Leo - Whose Line is it Anyways: (mutters something about Rita). Leo is random and funny. This works here.
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking: Maria just gives off the vibe that yes, she could do something really quite nasty if she had to. You don't keep a resistance unit alive against a galactic empire without a spine.
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics: Blows shit up. What else is there to say? Now if it was Kefka...

57: Richard Hawk v Yang's Wife - Swimsuit Contest - Excal won this for the great vice president for the United States. JUSTICE!
59: Maria v Rafa/Malak - Puppy Kicking - Wait, so this contest is based on how FAR they can kick a puppy? Maria does not strike me as someone who would hesitate to kick a puppy. And considering that she can kick a dragon around 50x her size like 20 metres away...
60: Ultros v Cloud Strife - Applied Pyrotechnics - Yeah, Cloud wins. Actual knowledge of explosives. Not to mention he does Xtreem things to. Meanwhile, Ultros uses his explosives to wreck an opera, only it takes him 5 minutes to find a match.

24 hours until closing, though the only that's close is the swimsuit contest.  Will Richard Hawk be defeated by an unassuming housewife?
