Nier vs Iji- Abstain.
Higurashi vs LoM- Higurashi gives it a go, but can't compete with LoM's all around awesome.
Final Fantasy 6 vs Fate/Stay Night- My dislike of FF6's normal boss music doesn't drag down the game too much.
Tales of the Abyss vs Castlevania Symphony of The Night- Two favorites! SotN is just better to me, though.

No votes on the NES round.

Nier vs Iji - Man, what can I say, Iji's really impressed me.  I played it recently, but still...it's quite good objectively and subjectively.  Very fitting.  Nier's also very fitting, but I do have to say that Iji's impresses me more - the rock/techno feel of the music is great, and really pumps you up.  It's amazingly fitting for the game.  Other awesome songs:

Higurashi vs LoM - No major comments - good matches this week.

Final Fantasy 6 vs Fate/Stay Night - Overall stronger and of more variety.

Tales of the Abyss vs Castlevania Symphony of The Night - Feel more confident in TotA's fit.  Both are excellent.

Bubble Bobble vs Final Fantasy 3 - Bubble Bobble music is TERRIBLE.  It's migraine-inducing.  Being an NES game isn't even a great excuse, because plenty of other games had good music despite the 8-bit quality.  Just...I can't listen to it.  Awful.

Super Mario Bros 3 vs Megaman 4 - Again, no comment - both are good.

Tales of the Abyss vs Castlevania Symphony of The Night: Not exactly the strongest round 2 match, but SotN has some pretty good stuff mixed in there. TotA also does, but it's rarer and the "average" track is lower, to boot.

Bubble Bobble vs Final Fantasy 3: Bubble Bobble music is engraved in my brain... but that's because it's a single track that plays over and over on like a short loop. FF3 not only has better tracks, but it has a lot of them and the soundtrack does the game credit.

Super Mario Bros 3 vs Megaman 4: MM2 and MM3 get more attention because they are better, more widely-played games, but MM4 has my favourite soundtrack of the bunch. Check out Skull Man or Dive Man or Dust Man for some examples. Just some great use of NES instruments, I feel.

Tales of the Abyss vs Castlevania Symphony of The Night

Bubble Bobble vs Final Fantasy 3 - I played Bubble Bobble on the Amiga, instant disqualification.  (Amiga had better sound quality than the NES rendition anyway.)  But yeah, BB's theme is catchy enough but FF3's boss theme is authentically good for the time.
Super Mario Bros 3 vs Megaman 4 - Weird picks from SMB3 since the overworld themes loop in like 20 seconds (as would make sense, you have no reason to spend a long time on that screen), but it's got other solid stuff.  Quite unimpressed with all the linked MM4 music, MM2 & MM3 seem better than it.

Nier vs Iji - Iji puts on a nice showing, but Nier thrashes it soundly and begins looking for its next meal.
Higurashi vs LoM - Another splat, so next round should be a worthy match.
Final Fantasy 6 vs Fate/Stay Night - I like FSN and all, but Splat.
Tales of the Abyss vs Castlevania Symphony of The Night - Closest match! TotA has Meaning of Birth, but CV has Vampire Killer.

Bubble Bobble vs Final Fantasy 3
Super Mario Bros 3 vs Megaman 4

Man, this whole round is pretty straightforward to me. Can't wait for next round when it's less clear-cut.
