After poking a few topics and thinking, we'll be running our seconds DL season of the year now rather than another intermediate tourney. I know, sad times.
Be sure to check the Ranking List (http://www.rpgdl.com/forums/index.php/topic,6015.0.html) to make sure what you're about to nom is still ranked. And also because we did rank like four games last time.
Lessee. This season, let's get 4-5 characters in each division (Godlike, Heavy, Middle, Light). Please try to keep your noms even.
Sa-Lews (Phantasy Star IV: End of the Millenium), White Rose (SaGa Frontier), and Zegai (Suikoden V) are our returning champions and have automatic berths in Godlike, Heavy, and Middle respectively.

CK: Garnet's way too good for Middle (checking the records, she was there in uh Season 4 whereupon she immediately upgraded), but Brad is probably safe for Middle (Brad-for-Heavy hype apparently involved giving him an uber Medium that makes his speed good and he's 0-2 in Heavy where he started, whereafter he downgraded). Swap 'em? (Garnet has healing, status, good damage of various elements that's also MT if that ever matters, elemental spoiling, above-average speed on turn 1, isn't as frail as you might think, and interp-dependent status blocking. Not a bad package for Heavy, although insert usual "lol FF9 buffs" note of unfortunateness for her.)
Izanami I can't comment on directly due to no P4, but I know that she was considered too good for Godlike back in the day off Proving Grounds. (Then again, CKDL has let in duelers like Katrina, so who knows.)

Izanami is pretty overrated and how good she is dependa a lot on how much clout you give her durability. She's also somewhat reliant on limit phases.

Well, even if her first form is seen as having literally 1 HP, 3 free extra actions, which includes a 1.52 PCHP nonelemental MT nuke and another .61 PCHP blast, are a pretty big middle finger to Godlike PCs without a defend command or Godlike bosses who aren't tanky. Then there's a second form afterward.
I'm not saying that she's totally unrankable of course, CKDL has definitely let in some scary Godlike-Bluelike border types, but she's clearly a top-class Godlike off just the above 1st-form only hype alone. EBC Zophar certainly dies to 2.13 PCHP damage certainly and never even makes it to form 2! (I guess BoF1 Jade can take Izanami at least given sufficient HP respect?)

Namagomi: Hrist & Nel both ended the old DL in Godlike, for whatever it's worth. They aren't much there, but they do earn the occasional win vs. Low Godlikes and are certainly borderline Heavy-Godlikes themselves at worst. (So... it's not the end of the world to nom 'em in Heavy, to be clear, but they're kinda uber there.)
Reclaimer Dragon is listed as Godlike in Tide's stat topic, and I'm inclined to agree from the description. 237% average speed uber damage, not total fail durability? Reclaimer Dragon has an argument against freakin' EBC Zophar if Dragon is seen as tanking Zophar's faster damage. Even if his durability IS seen as total fail, that's a lot of damage real fast - he should only lose to evadey types with a counterattack, e.g. Eirika or the like (and she's borderline Heavy-Godlike anyway, and she's probably doubled in both senses of the word, so even she isn't totally out of the woods!).

Hmm. Not sure Nel rides Godlike myself. Remember Ice Daggers has high fury costs (i.e the skill can only be used once without Berserk and three times for an Ice Daggers > Ice Daggers > Ice Daggers chain) and her healing's not great unless proficiency is assumed. Well if she rides it's not based on her freeze I would imagine~

Nel gets healing at the very start of the game so assuming good proficiency is reasonable, and freeze does help. That said I'd definitely see her as more of a Heavy myself, she was only 6-3 there (and 0-2 in Godlike), and none of those losses were against Royce/Ted-style "Heavies". Below average HP + speed only somewhat above average = easy enough to heal lock or outslug, though she's obviously good.
edit: And not that it matters due to no P3 voting here, but I'd see Zophar tanking 2.13 PCHP very very easily, and it should only barely kill him to the lowest HP scalings I'm aware of (no support credit + scaling by party rounds).

Hrist I'd call a Godlike as well. PC form's a good heavy at the least, boss belongs in low godlike. Nel's a Heavy; she's certainly not a borderliner like Asellus who is generating heavy noms.
Also I'll second the dropkicking for the reclaimer dragon. He seems like he should be on the G side of the border; in cases like this it's best to err on the side of caution.

What Snowfire said. PC's almost never beat her, bosses have to deal with all the form chain and limity stuff. If she's a rankable godlike, she is at the very upper end of the scale.

While we're hijacking the thread... yeah, if you make Zophar have 1 part but give him support credit for the hands, he actually ends up better vs. Izanami (if worse vs. everyone else). (I'm pretty much on the side of "I don't know why people even ever denied multipart bosses parts, why is multiacting off 1 part fine but the same multiacting off 2 parts not fine now."). And we all know that you don't scale in # of party members, I do, no need to rehash that debate. Anyway, the stat topic indicates Zophar's head is 16500 with an average PC damage of 680, 16500 / (680*5) = 4.85 PC rounds, 4.85 / 2.5 = 1.94 PCHP. As far as general respect penalties, you have White Dragon Protect & random Lucia stuff, so I'd be inclined to see that at around ~1.8 PCHP (flip side, it's possible to fight him without Triple Sword or Catastrophe, but meh, I was running a lot when I did that, seems too nice.). His hands get owned by Izanami's nuke being MT, not that it matters, because she's invincible and doesn't care about the hands anyway, and yeah, 1.8 is far enough away from 2.1 that I don't see it as that close, assuming OK's PC averages for P4 are accurate. (But sure, if Zophar is scaled vs. 3.5 party members... although I might be tempted to boot Ronfar from the average then.... he can probably tank Izanami form 1. And then form 2 probably wins anyway if it lives for a single turn, which it should.)
