It sounds like an awesome idea at 1 30 AM, so why not? Format's simple rate the fast food chain on a scale of 0 to 10, the higher the better. Please stick to whole numbers or .5 at most, don't get all numerically funky on me. Rate each entry on how much you like them, it's that simple.

Round 1:
McDonalds
Burger King
Wendys
Hardee's/Carl Jr.
Arby's
-
Round 1:
McDonalds: 4/10. Not bad but not much more than that. The burgers have never been good and the fries have taken a huge step back in recent years. Breakfast used to be good but it's slid into mediocrity. On the better side, the McNuggets are a good guilty pleasure meal and they have decent milkshakes.
Burger King: 6/10. The food's very average but I have a soft spot for a couple of things. Every so often I just need to have a whopper plain with cheese. I haven't had their breakfast since college, so no idea how that's held up.
Wendys: 1/10. I loathe Wendys. I can't stand the hamburgers, the fries are uninspired greasy crap, the side items suck. I appreciate a baked potato and chili is breaking the fast food mold a bit, but they just aren't very good.
Hardee's/Carl Jr: 7/10. I'm really partial to the thickburgers every once in a blue moon. The breakfast menu is killer and the fried chicken is great. It's a shame about the fries.
Arby's: 2/10. Junky.
-
McDonalds- 7/10. Made strides recently. Nothing will ever come close to their old fries from the early 90's. Sweet tea is great and I'll never pass up a McGriddle. Breakfast in general there is pretty decent for fast food. The Angusburgers are probably the best of the Big 3's premium burgers at the moment. Quarter Pounders are good in a pinch. Goddamn I miss the processed McNuggets though. Not the first place you look, but it's still worthwhile after all these years.
Edit: Motherfucking Snack Wraps are awesome
Burger King- 2/10. Ugh. How they've fallen. Been completely stagnant. Just... not very good. Anything more than your standard burger is a sloppy, soggy, disgusting mess. Chicken Fries are disgusting. When they changed their fries they were great, but they're not quite the same anymore. Cheesy tots are passable, but there's nothing bringing me back there anymore unless there are literally no other options.
Wendys- 6/10. Good stuff in general. I miss the Smokey Cheddarburger. That used to make it a 7/10. Premium burgers are alright. Some decent alternatives as sides. Frosties are good when you're in the mood. Probably the best all around dollar menu though. Fries aren't really that good though.
Hardee's/Carl Jr.- Don't really know them.
Arby's- 5/10. Need to be in the right mood, but I like the Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich. General quality, but nothing stands out.
-
MacDonalds 3/10 - not partial to them.
Burger King N/A - haven't had a burger king meal in like.... years. Can't say.
Wendys 3/10 - I would put this lower, but their chicken is at least tolerable.
Carl's Jr N/A - See BK.
Arby's N/A - Never had'em.
-
Round 1:
McDonalds 6/10. Fine for a meal every now and then. Burgers are okay, fries have gone downhill. Breakfast menu is good but also very expensive.
Burger King 5/10. I like their burgers slightly better than McDonalds, but everything else is worse.
Wendys 7/10. Burgers suck, but I really like their chicken and the fries ain't bad either.
Hardee's/Carl Jr. There hasn't been a Hardee's near where I live for 6 years.
Arby's 5/10. Chicken is good, but way too expensive.
-
Note that these opinions come from someone who doesn't eat hamburgers so I will be assessing the chicken-related products.
Round 1:
McDonalds- 4/10. I like their salads and their basic soft serve ice cream, chicken and fries are sub-par.
Burger King- 8/10. My fast food place of choice. Good chicken nuggets + good fries.
Wendys- 4/10. I like Frosties and the other food is okay.
Hardee's/Carl Jr.- 0/10. Groooossssssssss.
Arby's- 7/10. Better food than Burger King but costs twice as much. Boo. Curly fries are love, as are the baked potato fried things. Chicken is the best.
-
McDonalds - 8/10. Okay, this may seem a bit high but it's what I get there that's the thing. Breakfast? Love the cinnamon melts and iced coffee. Hell, they do a better iced coffee then Starbucks. Lunch/Dinner? McDoubles are alright, chicken sandwiches are better, the fruit and yogurt parfaits are wonderful and thier sweet tea is great. Best part? All four of those items are a buck. And if I feel like spending more then that, they have the Southern Style chicken as well as the best chiken nuggets around. McDonalds has been picking up steam lately.
Burger King - 6/10. Averagish, gets a point for that zesty sauce. I mix that with ketchup and use it as a fry dip. Tasty.
Wendys - 2/10. Burgers are alright, fries are alright, gets +2 for the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. That thing is awesome. EDIT: And Wendys just dropped in points. Massively. This happened once before and it just happened again now. They added a fish sandwich to the menu...which they fry in the same fucking oil they fry everything else in. At least the two around here do. They use different frying baskets, sure. But it all goes into the same vat of oil. I'm allergic to fish, and this makes it contaminate everything they put in a frier. Even the smell of the fries is enough to make me sick. Everywhere else can seem to get the idea that different foods are fried in different friers, but that doesn't seem to occur to Wendy's. So much hate.
Hardee's/Carl Jr. 2/10. Bugers are massively overpeppered(and this is coming from me), fries are lame. Haven't been to one for breakfast, maybe that could redeem them. But just voting on what I know.
Arby's - 5/10. Have to be in a mood for it. Has it's ups and downs. Ups are just being different and having great fries, downs include the price. Average works.
EDIT: Had to change Wendy's score after this weekend.
-
Hey look it's Zenny he's going to mostly bitch about prices.
Round 1:
McDonalds - 3/10. Dollar menu is nice but I always feel nauseated after eating there. EDIT: Forgot that they're trying to pawn their coffee off on us now. Only one store here has been doing it and it's not the one on my way to work so I've never bothered. <condescending nazi>Once could see how that would be a good profession for them</nazi>.
Burger King - 5/10. More akin to Carl's Jr. than McD's to me. Don't go there often because the price is not worth the quality of food.
Wendys - 6/10. Dollar menu, hold the queasy. Spicy chicken sandwiches are good.
Hardee's/Carl Jr. - 5/10. Used to be my favorite until I had to start paying for my own food and then it went downhill. Cheaper than Burger King at least but I could get something else/better for a similar price around here.
Arby's - 2/10. How do you ruin roast beef and cheese and bread? I always want to ask that when I go in.
-
Arby's - 2/10. How do you ruin roast beef and cheese and bread? I always want to ask that when I go in.
They ruin it with whatever the hell that cheese-like sauce they use is. Jenna may love it, but I refuse to believe that sludge is real cheese.
-

I think it's a low(er)-quality Velveeta type thing. All petroleum byproduct that tastes like cheese.
-
McDonalds: 5/10. Aggressively mediocre.
Burger King: 3/10. The one near here, I avoid on principle. Tends to be pretty bad.
Wendys: 6/10. See Zenny.
Hardee's/Carl Jr.: NA.
Arby's: 0/10. Epic failure.
-
McDonalds : 7/10. Agreeing with Zenny that excessive hamburger eating is very much bad for the stomach, but they've got the best fries of the Big Three and their chicken wraps/nuggets are excellent.
Burger King: 7/10. Best burgers of the Big Three, worst chicken. Pricing is higher than the other two, but larger sizes.
Wendys: 7/10. Frostys! Best chicken burgers, worst fries. Sizes of everything is way too small for my liking.
Hardee's/Carl Jr. : Never eaten there, I don't think we have any in Canadania.
Arby's : Never eaten there, though we do have them in Canadania.
-
As far as write-ins go, don't worry about them. I'll get to Jack in the box and other groups in later rounds. I chose to keep the number of entries to 5, not attempt to nail every fast food place in one go.
-
McDonalds- 3/10. Once in a great while, I will have a hankering for a quarter pounder or big mac. They never live up to my memory. Oversalted and overgreased, just... doesn't have the other good flavors come through like they should.
(McDonald's breakfast is closer to an 8/10, good shit, but I am not up that early.)
Burger King- 6/10. Alright. they vary a lot depending on if you get fresh stuff or things that've been on the warmer a while, mostly.
Wendys- 5/10. I go to wendy's from time to time, but out of convenience. Decent but not exceptional, and I doubt I'd go there if it was out of my way.
Hardee's/Carl Jr.- Does not exist.
Arby's- 9/10. Screw you guys, Beef'n'Cheddar is the height of human achievement.
-
The beef may be good, but liquid cheese that isn't melted cheddar (i.e., grilled cheese) is an abomination in the eyes of me.
-
McDonald's: 6/10, a bit above the average, as defined by the non-American school system grading style. Fries are the best of the listed places by far. Burgers aren't bad and I will admit cravings for them and actually liking them, but they don't actually have that much going for them. Also feels vaguely like one of the unhealthier locations, which says something. Not actually that fond of their breakfast options. Find most of them too dry, and the Sasuge Breakfast Burritos will be fatal shortly. Hash browns are nifty though.
Burger King: 2/10. I dunno if they've changed or my tastes have changed, but I really haven't liked Burger King in recent memory. Might do to give it a try to confirm? But yeah, burgers have felt limp and kinda cold. Messy, and not in the cool, filled with delicious manner of In-n-Out, but more a generalized sloppy mess. Fries are eh.
Wendy's: 7/10. I dun get what the problem you all have with it is. Burgers are good, square patties taste better. A bit messy, but the taste and "fresh" feeling make up for it. Fries are actually acceptable with ketchup and, while I don't use the option, they gain some credit for having a variety of side options to choose from. Feels healthier then the above two.
Hardee's/Carl's Jr.: 7/10. Yummy, with surprisingly crisp vegtables on their burgers, which I consider a major plus. Can't really recall the fries, but want to say they were better than all the others except McDonalds.
Arby's: N/A. Never been.
-
McDonalds: 8/10 stuff I generally eat is good. Has the bes fries and nuggets.
Burger King: 0/10 Awful, awful, awful. Burger buns always have sesame seeds, ketchup and mustard are bad, cheese is bad, pickles are fucking awful, meat always tastes charred somehow. Fries are like a soaked potato but less healthy. The only decent thing is drink size.
Wendys: 3/10 square patties are annoying as well. Burgers are always drippy and I never ever can get one without mayo. Fries are forgettable.
Hardee's/Carl Jr. NA.
Arby's: 5/10 I actually like the drippy cheese sludge. Combined with enough sauce it's not half bad. Curly fries are pretty decent too, if a bit too soaky most of the time.
-
McDonalds: 3/10. Nothing good there except the McChicken Sandwiches, but those actually aren't bad.
Burger King: Can we give negative scores? Go with 0/10. >_> Vile, vile things. Poor excuse for food.
Don't know the rest.
-
Burger buns always have sesame seeds
square patties are annoying as well
I'm all for bitching about fast food, but you're doing it wrong.
-
I try to stay away from fast food as much as I can...
McDonalds - 0/10 I avoid this place like the plague.
Burger King - 5/10 I used to love the BK Lounge, but now I'd rather go to...
Wendys - 8/10 Love Wendy's! The Chilli is awesome and cheep and the dollar chicken sandhwices are the tits! Also, it's walking distance from my job, well so is McDonalds, but...
Hardee's/Carl Jr. 3/10 - Expensive? I don't remember, all I can remember is that this place did not mesh well with my stomach.
Arby's 0/10 - good place until I got food poisoning from them.
-
McDonald's: 5/10
I like their Southwest Chicken sammich (sans pickles) and a decently seasoned quarter pounder with cheese is great, but I could leave all the rest. Every store I've been to has a greasy feel to the air, and I'm just downright -uncomfortable- eating there. That's not even to go on and mention how gross I feel after I've actually consumed the food. Exception is their sundaes, which rock, and their milkshakes which are drinkable after they spend an hour or two in my freezer.
Burger King: 2/10
Haven't been in a while, but that's mainly because they suck. I didn't mind the taste of their Angus burgers when they first came out, but they were soggy and messy and generally unpleasant to eat. Fries suck and always have. Their chicken fries were always dry and lacked texture. They get points for maining Dr Pepper in their stores and their "edgy" advertising, but that's it. And the King gives me nightmares.
Wendy's: 7/10
Frosty! They lose points on this one for inventing Frosty "flavors" and Frosty McFlurries. BOO ON THEM. I order the same thing when I go -- chicken nuggets meal with a chili side, followed by a Frosty -- and though it's laughable to call their chili anything other than "leftover patties ground up into beans and broth," I still appreciate that I can actually have that combination at a restaurant and not get stuck with french fries and it doesn't taste bad.
Hardee's/Carl's Jr: 8/10
Western Bacon Cheeseburger? Hello? This is hands down my favorite burger option at any restaurant. Aside from the fact that I love barbecue sauce on burgers, I love bacon, and I love onion rings, this burger wins simply because I don't have to custom order it. Everywhere else I go, there is always SOMETHING on the burger that I just don't want -- I tend to order things "plain" or just without sauce/tomatoes (aside: jesus, how do they still get away with calling those limp, vile, squishy red circles "tomatoes" at fast food places?) -- but this one is perfectly designed to be what it is, and not just another meat patty with a salad on top.
Plus, criss-cut fries.
Arby's: 3/10
I haven't been in a looooong while as there aren't any near me, but I recall liking the au jus they offered with their plain roast beef sammiches. My uncle loved their stuff and would always come home with a bag full of roast beef sammiches with cheese, and then the one extra for me to nom, so it mainly gets nostalgia points and the benefit of misty watercolored memories.

I hate sesame seeds. They always get stuck in all my teeth gaps.
Square patties make me uneasy. I can't stand the way they jut out like that.

A subject dear to my heart!
McDonalds
This is a tough one to rate.
On the one hand, their chicken stuff is excellent - usually. Chicken McNuggets are one of the best non-desert guilty pleasure foods in the world, Chicken Selects are actually genuinely pretty good. Admittedly, the quality varies, but it's usually quite high. Their drinks are also superb; compared to other fast food pop, or even canned pop, they're mind-blowingly concentrated. It's like drinking pure syrup, especially the Mr. Pibb.
On the other hand, most of their food is shit. Their regular burgers are tiny, odd-tasting and unsatisfying. Their larger burgers are all specialty types, which means a bunch of crap I won't eat. Their fries are just awful, but that's nothing unusual for fast food. Their milk shakes are kind of unexciting, but the strength of their pop (and coffee) makes up for this.
On the gripping hand, their breakfasts are top of the line. Sausage biscuits (with or without egg) and McGriddles are both excellent (the latter is even fairly consistent!), and McCafe is surprisingly good.
Let's go with...
McDonalds also seems a little pricey for what you get, at least during the day. (Sausage biscuits are nice and cheap, so the breakfast dodges the expensive moniker.)
McDonalds: 7/10
Burger King
Pretty much the exact opposite of McDonalds. Most of their non-burger stuff is crap, but on a typical day their burgers are crisply grilled and flavorful. Their dollar menu seems more robust than McDonald's to me - at least, the Whopper Jr. is a good deal.
Still, it's hard to get excited about a place that does basically one thing that's good when none of the rest - fries, chicken products, breakfast, drinks - is even tolerable. Besides, I also hate sesame seeds; admittedly, I don't mind one-bunning a burger.
The way I eat there, a great place for dieting.
Burger King: 5/10
Wendys
Inconsistent.
Especially when it comes to fries, when they're good, they're actually GOOD (whereas most fast food fries at best aspire to "edible"), but when they're bad they're horrid. And they're only good one time in five. On the plus side, they have a neat menu - chili, for instance, makes this a destination more people are willing to go to.
Burgers are ok, nothing else is much good.
Wendy's: 5/10
Hardee's/Carl Jr.
The rating here is HEAVILY dependent on whether I'm paying or not. :)
Carl's is ruinously, ridiculously expensive for a fast food place, to the point I'm left wondering why I don't go to a sit down restaurant instead.
The flip side to that is, they're largely worth it. The burgers are ok, the fries have a high ceiling (and a low bottom, but that's to be expected). The fish, however, is surprisingly succulent - arguably as good as a dedicated fish joint, and I love good battered fish. With that said, I've had some really BAD fish from Carl's, and bad fish is worse than most bad food just as good fish is better than most good food.
The tipping point for me is that their milk shakes are simply the best in the business; no other fast food place comes within spitting distance, and in fact I've never had a better shake home-made or at a sit down restaurant. They are a princely drink, and you pay a princely sum for the pleasure of them.
Carl's: 8/10
Arby's
The good: When their sandwiches and fries are hot and fresh, they represent the best entree available at a non-fish, non-pizza fast food restaurant.
You can probably guess the bad: they rarely ARE hot and fresh.
Arby's also takes a hit for being as or more expensive than Carl's, without delivering a higher caliber meal on a (fairly) consistent basis.
Arby's: 5/10

I'm going to update tomorrow night or Tuesday, I want to keep this fast moving. Vote now!
-
McDonalds 6/10 - meh.
Burger King 6/10 - meh.
Wendys 8/10 - love that spicy chicken. my preferred fast food sandwich forever. only giving them 8 because, y'know, fast food.
Hardee's/Carl Jr. - are what, exactly?
Arby's 4/10 - mostly because I'm only ever there at pit stops on overnight busrides.

I do believe this picture is appropriate for the topic:

Despite some negative feedback, Wendy's took the round. I blame it on the haters giving Wendys less negative(not 0) votes than the haters of the other places gave out. Anyway, round 2 for you freaks:
Taco Bell
A&W
Dairy Queen
Checkers/Rally's
Long John Silver's
-
Taco Bell: 10/10: Guilty pleasure? Taco Bell. I just love them. The plain tacos are cheap and good filler, the more expensive items are tasty as hell in a junk food way.
A&W: 4/10: So-so, but I dig the cheese curds every once in a great while.
Dairy Queen: 5/10: Eh, ice cream. Good when I want bubbly soft ice cream, crap otherwise.
Checkers/Rally's: 9/10. Maybe it's because I only get them once in a blue moon, but they're always incredible. Great hamburgers, good fries and killer awesome milkshakes. Win.
Long John Silver's: 6/10. Good chicken but I don't like fish, so.
-
Taco Bell 5/10 okay but their meat is bland and they stopped having the Cheesy Gordita Crunch, which was the only thing I really liked.
A&W None around here
Dairy Queen 7/10 Good ice cream, their flamethrower burger is good for actual food, but they are pretty expensive at times
Checkers/Rally's who?
Long John Silver's 7/10 Love their chicken, love hushpuppies, fish is tasty but gives me a blinding headache for some reason. Also expensive.
-
Taco Bell 4/10: I can stomach their food, but not a fan. I know some of my family can't stand them.
A&W 6/10 - They're alright. The rootbeer floats are decent enough, which gives them +1 point. Fairly average.
Dairy Queen 6/10 - Their chicken isn't bad, the ice cream is.. okay, everything else kinda sucks.
Checkers/Rally's - Never even heard of them.
Long John Silver's - Never eaten here before.
-
Taco Bell: 7/10. Tasty, but always always always induces stomache distress. Cinnamon Twists are ^_^ though
A&W: 6/10. Nothing special, but they get a point for their floats being wonderful and their food generally not giving me problems.
Dairy Queen: 4/10. Despite liking thier ice cream, the food is bad enough to drop the score to negative. Also, have had sour/bad/spoiled/etc ice cream there one too many times.
Checkers/Rally's: Man, haven't been there in so long I couldn't rate it. I remember Rally's being good stuff though.
Long John Silver's: 0/10. Hey look it's a poison store.
-
Taco Bell- 8/10. Having to order everything sans sour cream is a hassle, but still a place I come back to a couple times a month.
A&W- I've been to one A&W ever. I... don't think I ordered the right thing. Still, ROOTBEER, so at least a 5/10.
Dairy Queen- I wish like hell I could find a Dairy Queen here. The ice cream specials sound so goddamned good.
Checkers/Rally's- I used to eat there semi-regular like 15 years ago. Don't feel qualified to judge them now.
Long John Silver's- 7/10. The chicken is excellent, hush puppies are pretty alright, being able to tack on extra shrimp/chicken planks for a buck or two is damned convenient. Still, something I kinda have to be in the mood for.
-
Taco Bell- 8/10. I actually really like their quesadillas/tacos.
A&W- 7/10. Tasty but expensive. Root beer ain't my thing.
Dairy Queen- 3/10. All three points come from their ice cream, because their food is just nasty.
Checkers/Rally's- Never seen one.
Long John Silver's- 10/10. Yessssssssssssss.
-
Taco Bell 8/10- Demolition Man was easily the best product placement ever. I enjoy a gordita or chalupa every now and then, and Baja Blast Mountain Dew needs to not be TB exclusive. Otherwise more of a guilty pleasure than anything I frequent.
A&W 5/10- Only been to one so far. Average is average.
Dairy Queen - 6/10. Ice cream is good in a pinch. Dilly Bars are a nostalgic favorite. Regular food is servicable.
Checkers/Rally's - Haven't been to a Checkers yet. I want to though.
Long John Silver's - 6/10. Works for a fried food place, especially when one is paired with a Nathan's.
-
Taco Bell - NA. Never... actually eaten at one, I think! Huh. How odd, there's a lot of them here, and even one on campus.
A&W - None around here.
Dairy Queen - 7/10. But I never get the non-ice cream stuff.
Checkers/Rally's - NA.
Long John Silver's - NA.
...wow.
-
Taco Bell - 0. Horrible. No reason to eat there whatsoever when you can get a better taco for the same price a bus stop away. 79 cent tacos lose their allure when $1 tacos are down the street and won't make you shit yourself later. EDIT: Also I can drink there. But more seriously if you live in any of the states along the border there's no reason you should be eating at Taco Bell. It's like going to Panda Express when you live in China. Only with more diarrhea. Have I mentioned that this place's food makes you shit yourself yet? Pretty sure I haven't mentioned that this place makes you shit yourself.
A&W - The Rootbeer company?
Dairy Queen - 5. Good ice cream. I wasn't aware that people actually bought their other food.
Checkers/Rally's - Uh?
Long John Silver's - 0. blarghadiblargidty there's all that fried fish going down the toilet because I decided to eat fast food fish blarghhh
-
Taco Bell: ^?!) (That's a 6/10 for those of you that don't speak in sticky shift key): All I eat are the basic tacos but dammit do I like'em.
A&W: 3/10: Had once, don't really remember anything special.
Dairy Queen: 8/10 I FREAKING love Blizzards. That's the 8 right there. Nothing else matters.
Checkers/Rally's: 2/10 Their burgers always disintegrate within five minutes. Not bad before they turn into liquid though.
Long John Silver's: 0/10 FISH

Taco Bell
Oh, very high! I eat here a lot and the food is quite good.
The Pizza Hut Express food, I mean. Love those breadsticks. (Incidentally, is it a little-known law of physics that all pizza joints must have awesome breadsticks?)
It only seems fair to give the rating for that food to actual Pizza Hut, though, which just leaves the actual "Mexican" food at Taco Bell. Now, first off, I don't like Mexican food (but do enjoy a good taco). Second off, Taco Bell is a disgrace to a kind of food I already dislike.
So, yeah.
Taco Bell: 1/10
A&W
Root beer get! Other than that, overly spiced, overly priced hamburgers and bland run-of-the-mill fries? Not!Hebrew National hot dogs? I don't recall them having anything I much like, and anyway the discerning customer can find better root beer elsewhere.
A&W: 3/10
Dairy Queen
Desert, whee!
Not as good as non-fast-food ice cream, but ice cream is ice cream and deserves props for that, if nothing else. Sometimes I'm in the mood for a large chocolate cone dipped in chocolate, and Dairy Queen answers the call admirably.
I guess they serve food here, too? But I wouldn't bother getting it.
Dairy Queen: 8/10
Checkers/Rally's
Don't know, don't have any near me.
Long John Silver's
Can I express my rating as a die roll? 1d6+4/10 or something? Because fast food fish is always highly variable.
Nonetheless, I love battered fish in all its many forms, and while of old Long Johns delivered quality food only about half the time, it's been a couple of years since I got a bad batch. When it's good, it's some of the best food you can get fast, and even when it's bad it's never so awful you can't slather malt vinegar on it and have a decent meal.
Long John Silver's: 8/10
-
Whoops. Missed the original rankings. No-matter. It'd be more praise for Wendy's.
Taco Bell ~ 4/10. Really, I wouldn't rate it THIS high even, but it is a place I'll eat at. It gets at least 2 points for saving my life with the Grande Meal.
A&W ~ 1/10 The one point is entirely for their delicious milk shakes. EVERY time I've eaten at A&W over the past 10 years, they have horribly burned my food, and the food of my friends. This includes a friend who ordered their FISH. A&W is the grossest of the gross.
Dairy Queen ~ 8/10 They'd get a 10, but I never actually have tried their food. Still, I go here more than once a week when it's open, because I cannot live without a regular intake of ice cream mixed with M&Ms.
Checkers/Rally's ~ Never eaten at one.
Long John Silver's ~ 10/10 I don't even eat fish. LJS has the best chicken in the world, and I have never seen a single place actually make chicken in the same way. It's tragic. I'd actually make this chicken MYSELF if I knew how. Furthermore, they tend to give you these ridiculously good crumb things when you get your chicken, and it's a delicious guilty pleasure (if you're a pansy with SHAME) that's like 1000 times better than any chip or dry snack good. Furthermore STILL, it has added breadsticks to its menu so you don't have to get those disgusting hush puppies anymore. YET FURTHERMORE I actually have eaten their (popcorn) shrimp, which, if you know my eating habits at all, this is a big damn deal. Honestly, I'd go to a LJS happily before many "traditional" restaurants.
-
Taco Bell - 7/10. I don't really explore the menu, but I've never been dissatisfied for what I got plus the price. Stores vary, but fortunately the ones I go to are consistent with being less messy.
A&W - N/A. Wtf is this??
Dairy Queen - 0/10. UUUUUUUUUUUGH, I do not want to go into the weird tastes the food has. Blizzards are great, but not enough to even score it a point. I prefer Breuster's.
Checkers/Rally's - 5/10. When I want to feel fat, greasy and bloated, this is where I go. Every fry soaks grease into my mouth. A satisfying burp afterwards, but a misadventure when visiting the bathroom.
Long John Silver's - 0/10. F this S. Seriously, if I wanted to eat BREAD and less than a quarter of an inch of fish, I'd go here.
-
Round 1:
McDonalds- 3/10- Everything is greasy as hell and to be honest it forces me to do things in the restroom that I would love to never have to do. I'd go with 1/10, but their fries are more delicious than just about any other fast food fries. Dollar menu also blows.
Burger King- 4/10- Dollar menu is nonexistent from what I can remember, but those little mini burgers are pretty solid. Overall the food doesn't make me as sick as McDonalds.
Wendys- 9/10- Awesome dollar menu. Chicken Nuggets, Burgers, Cheese Burgers, Fries, Frosty. This gives me loads of option and with 5 bucks you can get a pretty filling meal. All tasty too!
Hardee's/Carl Jr. - 5/10- Some solid choices and definitely my choice over BK/McDonalds but not bad at all.
Arby's 8/10- In terms of taste Arbys is my favorite, but except when they have deals they are way too damn expensive. If the roast beef were always 5 for 5 this would be a 10/10 easy.
-
Taco Bell 3/10 - Eh, guilty pleasure maybe sometimes but there's like one thing on the menu I'll eat.
A&W 9/10 - Man, if I still lived in Manistee I'd still be eating here all the time. A shame that's the only place I know of that still has one of these.
Dairy Queen - 1/10 if we're just talking about the food and not the ice cream, since their ice cream stuff never really struck me as quite the same thing as fast food.
Checkers/Rally's - Never eaten at one.
Long John Silver's - I've only eaten at one, and that was in Guam and I hope the rest of them are not like that. Going to abstain due to assuming they can't all be that bad when they aren't international.
-
Taco Bell - 8/10 - Well first of all, I haven't had enough stomach problems from 'em to drop their score for that. Second, I live in PA and have obviously never had a good taco. That all said the price/fillingness ratio is probably the best in the business if you want to eat cheap, and I love specialty burritos. Baja Blast is a whole point on its own.
A&W - Never had it.
Dairy Queen - 6/10 - Blizzards and Dilly Bars and good milkshake flavor variety. On the other hand, they have competent burgers and that's all they've got as far as real food.
Checkers/Rally's - Who what where when?
Long John Silver's - 6/10 - Five points for the chicken, one for the little packets of malt vinegar for the fries. The corn is soggy, the hush puppies bore me, and I'd rather get a fish sandwich from McDonald's or Sheetz than the damned place's specialty food.
-
Taco Bell: 5/10. It is okay. Is to Mexican food what McDonald's is to burgers. They taste fine, but I have much perferred options. Cheap, I guess?
A&W: N/A. Haven't had since I was a kid, so no memory.
Dairy Queen: N/A. Se A&W.
Checkers/Rally's: N/A. Don't even know what this is.
Long John Silver's: N/A. Never eaten here.
-
This closes tomorrow. Vote now!
-
Taco Bell: 5/10. Adequate, I suppose, and having it once a year or so is enough.
A&W: 7/10. Root beer. The burgers are decent, but the fries suck.
Dairy Queen: 6/10. "Hot Eats" are crap, "Cool Treats" rock.
Checkers/Rally's: N/A
Long John Silver's: N/A
-
Taco Bell: 5/10 - Good for a quick fix.
A&W: N/A - Haven't been to one of these in ages. I can't really rate it honestly at the moment!
Dairy Queen: 5/10 - Don't go here too ften.
Checkers: 6/10 - Good food, just greasey as hell! I try to avoid this place because I feel a heart attack coming with each bite of their champ burger.
Long John Silver's: 0/10- Seafood fastfood doesn't mesh well with me.

This is what you would think if you were a group mind:
Taco Bell: 5.52, 17 votes.
A&W: 5.09, 11 votes.
Dairy Queen: 5.31, 16 votes.
Checkers/Rally's: 5.50, 4 votes.
Long John Silver's: 4.61, 13 votes.
This is proof that group minds are unholy abominations against the natural order of things. They don't much care for anything, it's all average!
Full rankings:
1. Taco Bell: 5.52, 17 votes.
2. Checkers/Rally's: 5.50, 4 votes.
3. Wendys: 5.41, 17 votes.
4. Dairy Queen: 5.31, 16 votes.
5. A&W: 5.09, 11 votes.
6. Hardee's/Carl Jr: 5.00, 8 votes.
7. McDonalds: 4.88, 18 votes.
8. Long John Silver's: 4.61, 13 votes.
9. Arby's: 4.35, 14 votes.
10. Burger King: 4.25, 16 votes.

Blazing ahead with tacos aflame and burritos shooting, Taco Bell took a commanding lead of...5.52! I'm starting to suspect that the holy grail of this topic will be a legendary 6.0 ranking. Anyway, round 3 is a go!
KFC:
Dunkin Donuts:
Boston Market:
Jack-in-the-box:
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians):
-
KFC: 8/10: Chicken is okay but great, as are the sides. Bonus points for the fries and mashed potatoes, which are both excellent.
Dunkin Donuts: 3/10: Meh. I'm not a big donut person and they're usually not very good.
Boston Market: 6/10: Slightly above average.
Jack-in-the-box: N/A.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): N/A.
-
KFC: 8/10 Good chicken, godly potatoes and pretty good snacks.
Dunkin Donuts: 4/10 All about the Boston Cream.
Boston Market: This is fast food?
Jack-in-the-box: Gives me MGS2 flashbacks.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): 1/10 Urgh, my first encounter with Tim Horton's left me sick. Iced coffee or whatever is just bad and if I want donuts I'll go to Dunkin. Also screw you and your prejudices, I'm not Canadian eh!
-
KFC: 8/10. Can't really fault them. They're good at what they do. The occasional Snacker is also good.
Dunkin Donuts: 7/10. Good doughnuts, decent coffee.
Boston Market: 0/10. DNR. Worst. Food. Ever.
Jack-in-the-box: Haven't been
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): Haven't been
-
KFC: 6/10. Goooood potatoes. Chicken is tolerable very occasionally and if blotted with napkins to remove all the massive amounts of grease.
Dunkin Donuts: 3/10. I don't have a terrible high opinion of donuts and I don't really drink coffee, so this isn't really my bag.
Boston Market: N/A. Only been there once.
Jack-in-the-box: 0/10
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): 5/10. It's kind of like DD except has soup. It's not super awesome omg but it's adequate enough.
-
KFC: 3/10. All side dishes. Used to like their chicken, then I moved on to better things, then I found out that KFC chickens are being bred Matrix-style so I'm not too sure I could eat there again and not feel a little queasy.
Dunkin Donuts: 6/10. OK coffee (I make better at home), pretty good donuts. Only thing open 24 hours so if you're wandering around at 3AM (happens more than you'd think!) it's the only place to go.
Boston Market: Never been.
Jack-in-the-box: 4/10 in Albuquerque, but 9/10-Jack in the Crack kinda got hyped up around these parts because Albuquerque hadn't had one in ages. The only time I had eaten there before before last year was on road trips, and every time it was delicious and tasted like real food. Then a couple opened up here and they suck. I don't know if it was the hype or if all JitB are like this, but I'm gonna trust my memory and just say the ones in Albuquerque suck.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): lolwut
-
Zenny: Going with the 9/10 or the 4/10 for Jack in the box? I just wanna be clear.
-
KFC: 7/10 Chicken is good, potatoes are good. Downside is their other sides suck, it's expensive, and personally the restaurants near me are all filthy.
I have never been in or even seen the rest of the restaurants in this round.
-
KFC: N/A. Not had recently enough in a manner which I feel comfortable voting.
Dunkin Donuts: 6/10. Good enough I guess? Only having donuts is kinda a lame thing though, since I perfer food for fast food, as it were.
Boston Market: N/A. Never had.
Jack-in-the-box: 4/10. Has its ups, but generally inferior to McDonald's.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): N/A. I'm from the US of A. *salutes*
-
KFC: 6/10. The chicken's... okay-ish, and the beans are good. Their chips are hilariously terrible, and they don't do any drinks that are good - the best is Pepsi, which is basically watered down coke. They get 4 for the chicken and 2 for one of the sides, that's kinda ridiculous, but... ehh, 6/10 works.
-
Zenny: Going with the 9/10 or the 4/10 for Jack in the box? I just wanna be clear.
Yes. If it wasn't obvious I don't really give a shit about how you do the rankings.
-
It is a crime against humanity that LJS is under A&W, literally the worst restaurant ever.
KFC: 8/10. Not much to say here. I dig potato wedges, corn, popcorn chicken, and amazing succulent delicious breasts.
Dunkin Donuts: Never been.
Boston Market: Never been.
Jack-in-the-box: Never been.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): 7/10 Good quality donuts. SEEMINGLY always open. Iced Caps are diiiiiivine. Wouldn't touch the soup or sandwiches, though.
-
KFC: 6/10. The actual fried chicken actually physically causes me pain to eat, but the sandwiches are adequate and the gravy makes a decent beverage.
Dunkin Donuts: n/a, not because I've never had it, but because it's been about ten years since I have.
Boston Market: I think we have a few in Canada, but never been.
Jack-in-the-box: n/a.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): 8/10. Even with the smaller donuts and the rising prices ($0.90 for one donut? Really?), still the best donut holes in the world. Sandwiches are horrible, and I've never tried their soup.
-
KFC: 6/10. Solid but little more.
Dunkin Donuts: Neveer been. In fact I'm not sure where one is.
Boston Market: Never been, there's one in the area but it's a pain in the butt to get to.
Jack-in-the-box: They don't make those here.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): Never been. It's actually right on the way to my usual shopping routine... but on the wrong side of the road.
-
KFC
I'm not a big fan of fried chicken, so I don't feel I can judge KFC fairly. I've enjoyed their sides and chicken strip type items from time to time, so that's how I'll rate them.
5/10
Dunkin Donuts
I like donuts, but these don't do a whole lot for me. I mostly like glazed donuts, and the way they do them here they're too dry for my tastes.
I prefer Starbucks and even McCafe coffee, so the other big draw is right out.
3/10
Boston Market
You know how several people mentioned gastrointestinal distress from Taco Bell? Well at least Taco Bell is cheap and often combined with non-Taco Bell restaurants. Boston Market has made me sick every time I've eaten there, their food is not especially good, and they're priced like a sit-down restaurant despite having fast food service (and less quality).
1/10
Jack-in-the-box
If I've ever eaten at one of these, I don't remember it.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians)
I don't think I've eaten at one of these.

Updating this tomorrow, vote now!
-
KFC: 5/10 - Eh.
Dunkin Donuts: 5.5/10 - I am a sucker for donuts, but there is better.
Boston Market: N/A
Jack-in-the-box: 8/10 - My preferred fast food joint. Generally liked their cheeseburgers and fries, and the shakes are good too.
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): N/A
-
KFC: 6/10 I am likign this place less and less with each visit. I do enjoy all their side items though.
Dunkin Donuts: 5/10
Boston Market: 7/10
Jack-in-the-box: 0/10 Fuck you Jack in the Box! Why the fuck do they have commercials for this shit down in tampa. This is like a west coast ONLY fast food joint and I hate seeing, but not being able to eat there!
Tim Horton's(For you Krazy Kanadians): N/A

An uninspiring round, let's step it up for this time around!
Krispy Kreme
Panera Bread
Sonic's:
White Castle:
Subway:
-
Krispy Kreme: 3/10. They're okay but pure junk. Something about Krispy Kreme fails to satisfy me.
Panera Bread: 3/10. Meh.
Sonic's: 2/10. Greasy, overrated crap.
White Castle: N/A
Subway: 0/10. I'd rather make a sub at home than have one at Subway. Uninspired, tasteless crap.
-
Krispy Kreme: 0/10. I vividly remember trying their stuff. Never again.
Panera Bread: 8/10. I'm a fan.
Sonic's: NA.
White Castle: NA.
Subway: 1/10. I can eat their stuff in an emergency.
-
Krispy Kreme: 1/10 Wishes it was Dunkin.
Panera Bread: 0/10 No.
Sonic's: N/A
White Castle: 0/10 Absolute garbage.
Subway: 0/10 Look! Something I can make at my house with no effort at all!
-
Krispy Kreme 6/10 good but not great
Panera Bread 6/10 good but very expensive
Sonic's: 3/10 I like the chili cheese fries, but everything else sucks and is way expensive
White Castle: never been
Subway: 5/10 Utterly bland sandwiches, but at least you can pile on the veggies and condiments, and their 5 dollar footlong deals are quite reasonable.
-
Krispy Kreme - 7/10. If you're going to eat Donuts, then you're eating pure junk anyway. Kreme of the Junk, as it were.
Panera Bread - What?
Sonic's: 1/10. Their food is shit but from 2-4 they charge a reasonable price for drinks, which is enough to get them a point.
White Castle: Never been.
Subway: 2/10 - Cheapish for the mass of food they give you, but it's mostly bread and you can get that way cheaper at the grocery.
-
Krispy Kreme: 3/10. Very much sub-Dunkin for donuts.
Panera Bread: Never been.
Sonic's: 9/10. Tasty food and I love thier drink selection massively. Now if only they existed near where I live.
White Castle: Never been.
Subway: 6/10. $5 for a footlong is great, big fan of thier meatball sub and thier italian BMT. If they had horseradish, they'd go up a point, and if thier bread was reliably not-stale or overcooked they'd get another.
-
Krispy Kreme: 1/10 - Not the biggest Donut fan. Don't give a shit when the red light is on.
Panera Bread : 4/10 - Good I guess, but kinda expensive. Will go here only if someone REALLY wants to go.
Sonic's: 1/10 - Not a fan
White Castle: N/A - WANT TO GO!
Subway: 5/10 - Used to go here all the time for lunch, but Wendy's has Chili which is better for me and cheaper too!
-
Krispy Kreme: 7/10- Fantastic once every six months or so.
Panera Bread: 6/10- Too expensive for what you get.
Subway: 7.5/10- Where I go out to eat when I have to get fast food. Tasty and I can't complain about the serving size either.
-
Krispy Kreme- Doesn't exist.
Panera Bread- Never head of them.
Sonic's- Rumor.
White Castle- Does not exist.
Subway- 7/10. Sorta a default option, most accessible place around. Affordable and in reasonable quantity, and decent enough food.
-
Krispy Kreme: 2/10
Panera Bread: ---
Sonic's: 8/10
White Castle: ---
Subway: 0/10. If people vote on LJS who don't like fish, I can vote on Subway. >_>
-
Krispy Kreme: 7/10. Yay Donuts!
Panera Bread: 3/10. Meh
Sonic's: 6/10. I enjoy it
White Castle: 10/10. Perfect in every way.
Subway: 7/10. Okay. Works if there's not an actual deli nearby
-
1. Krispy Kreme: 3/10. Wait, seriously. Do donut places that don't sell anything but donuts really being compared to places that offer, well, things with a modicum of nutrition or pretense thereof? Well, whatever. I don't like donuts. They do have an apple-cinnamon filled thingy that is passably good.
2. Panera Bread: 9/10. Loooooove their sandwiches. I also love that I can order a "meal" of half a sandwich, half a salad, and a baguette/apple/potato chips. That satisfies my need for variety in every meal AND feeling like I'm eating real food, as opposed to when I go to other fast food and get something with a side of fries. Plus they make their own bread and I am a bread fiend. They lose a point for being relatively expensive.
3. Sonic's: 4/10. Haven't been there in ages, but I remember being nonplussed. Crispy fries, though, and nice slushies.
4. White Castle: */10. Never been. I believe the words to warn me away from it when I was last nearby were, "But I want to spend time with you in New York, not outside the bathroom door!"
5. Subway: 6/10. I eat there fairly regularly, and they scratch the sandwich itch, and they're not too expensive, but they're pretty mediocre overall. Their bread used to be the #1 reason I'd go there, but over the past 5 years it's REALLY gone downhill. Their cookies are still generally awesome, though.
-
Krispy Kreme: 5/10- Good donuts... they serve food? Meh
Panera Bread- Dunno
Sonic's: 6/10 better than normal burger place...
White Castle: dunno
Subway: 10/10- Eat there 4-5 times a week probably. Making a Chicken Teriyaki or Chicken Bacon and Ranch at home would be quite the hassle. Preparing chicken and bacon takes much longer than it takes Subway. As long as those 2 stay at 5 dollars Subway will stay at a 10.
(Also, I'm eating Subway right now. WIN!)
-
4. White Castle: */10. Never been. I believe the words to warn me away from it when I was last nearby were, "But I want to spend time with you in New York, not outside the bathroom door!"
Because people are stupid. White Castle is like alcohol. You have to know your tolerance. It's great and delicious within your limits though. I've NEVER had an experience like that at White Castle, and I ate there often. Hell, I lived next door to one in the city.
-

Krispy Kreme: N/A
Panera Bread: N/A
Sonic's: N/A
White Castle: N/A
Subway: 5/10. Completely average subs, good condiments. Would probably be a point or two higher if the pricing that the US has was even close to what it is in Canadania.
-
I'll be closing this in a day or two, get you votes in now!

Krispy Kreme
Panera Bread
Sonic's: 7/10
White Castle: 0/10 - Only posted so I can do this. White Castle is terrible.
Subway: 8/10

One White Castle burger? You have a weak constitution. Look into an NPC class progression, PC classes are not for you.
-
Krispy Kreme: 3/10. Not cake doughnuts. They are occasionally okay, but almost every other doughnut is superior.
Panera Bread: 8/10. Very good.
Sonic's: N/A. Never had.
White Castle: N//A. Have only had frozen versions of the burgers, so I feel unfair counting them.
Subway: 6/10. Quite frequently hits a spot, is healthier, is a fairly good value. The health improvement is worth a full point over McDonald's.
-

But constitution was my dump stat! Like strength, dexterity, wisdom, intelligence and charisma!

Krispy Kreme: 6/10. I discussed this with a friend of my mom's from the South the other day; we were the only ones in the room who really liked Krispy Kreme, and I think it comes down to how much you like overkill on the sugar.
Panera Bread: 8/10. Good in general, but the coffee and breakfast price/portion ratio really bumps it up.
Sonic's: Abstain
White Castle: Abstain, want to try.
Subway: 5/10. Just... so average.
-
Subway: 8/10. Good as far as fast food goes. Decent food, and not coated in grease.
-
Krispy Kreme: 1/10. Eventually (maybe?) you'll get to the donut places I actually like. Krispy Kreme is just awful, though.
Panera Bread: Never eaten at one, though I've heard good things.
Sonic's: 7.5/10. Good hamburgers with a fairly unique style. Entertaining theme. But, they seem expensive for what you get. Bonus .5 points for the sheer scope of their menu.
White Castle: I'm fairly sure I've never lived anywhere that had these, and if I've visited a part of the country that had them, it also had Steak and Shakes, so obviously I wasn't wasting my time with anything else.
Subway: 3/10. I guess they probably have hot subs I would consider edible? But their mainstay seems to be a type I don't like.
-
Really? I never saw a Steak and Shake until I got down to Florida. They're definitely not in the NY/NJ/Conneticut area, and I never saw one in Massachusetts or Pennsylvania either...
-
Should've voted on this sooner. Would probably skew the averages though since Texas fast food chains seem to be remarkably different from their incarnations in the rest of the country. A&W and Dairy Queen here are the two places that use real beef in their burgers and usually taste amazing, would be 9s or 10s from me.
Krispy Kreme - N/A
Panera Bread - N/A
Sonic's - 8/10. Burgers and fries vary a lot. The one a few blocks from my house has consistently great food and service, the one on my way back from work currently is terrible, gave it two chances and now never again, the others I've eaten at are somewhere in between. Their drinks and menu variety are top notch, though. Breakfast menu especially has been great when I've had occasion to eat under the auspices of the rise of the evil daystar.
White Castle - N/A
Subway: 8/10. Gotta give these guys credit for what they do. Five dolla footlongs are tasty, healthy and cheap, and it's pretty hard to mess up their preparation. Don't really care for most of their menu, though - I wish they had more cheeses and a few different condiments.

I believe Steak and Shake and White Castle overlap in Illinois and maybe other parts of the Midwest, which is the only area I'd have had an opportunity to try the latter (and, obviously, passed it up in favor of the former.)

More mediocrity, though I'm surprise Krispy Kreme tanked the way it did. White Castle was also a horrible, horrible mistake.

Pizza Hut
Dominoes
Papa Johns
Quiznos
Popeyes
-
Pizza Hut: 7/10. For those days when I want grease. They get bonus points for expanding the menu lately.
Dominoes: 4/10. The chicken kickers are really good and maybe one specialty pizza is worthwhile! The rest is dreck.
Papa Johns: 2/10. The ingredients are good but the end result is uninspiring.
Quiznos: 0/10. Terrible, terrible, terrible shit.
Popeyes: 5/10. Solid fried chicken.
-
Pizza Hut - 4/10.
Dominoes - 7/10. EDIT: UPGRAYEDD
Papa Johns - 4/10. All the fast food pizza blends together. Rather go to the pizza place/bar a couple blocks from my place.
Quiznos - 8/10. The one across the street from campus does the whole 5 dollar sandwich thing with way better sandwiches.
Popeyes - 9/10. Their chicken is goddamn amazing, and so are their sides. Part of the reason why I can't eat KFC anymore.
-
Pizza Hut- 5/10. Meh.
Dominoes- 6/10. The extra point is nostalgia for when one Friday a month in middle school was Dominoes day. Still need to try the "NEW KICKASS RECIPE!"
Papa Johns- 3/10. Sauce is too damn sweet.
Really though, I was spoiled by all the good REAL pizza places in the area growing up.
Quiznos- Never been
Popeyes- 9/10. Popeyes Chicken is the shiznit!
-
Pizza Hut: Good salad and breadsticks, sometimes good pizza, sometimes very bad. 6/10 works.
Dominoes: 3/10.
Papa Johns: 1/10. Groooossssss.
Quiznos: 3/10. Bad soup.
Popeyes: 4/10. Greeaasseee. If I were going for grease soaked chicken I would go to the place with good mashed potatoes.
-
Heee. Good mashed potatoes from a fast food restaurant. That's... that's cute. Really. I'm not being belittling at all. srsly
-
Pizza Hut - 5/10. Fairly average.
Dominoes - 8/10. The 3 medium pizzas and/or pasta bowls for $5 each is nice. Like the new recipie too, the sauce has a kick to it.
Papa Johns - 7/10. Better then pizza hut and probably better then dominos, but more expensive as a rule. That costs points.
Quiznos - 10/10. One of my serious favorites. The sandwiches are good and the flatbread salads are also fantastic.
Popeyes - 3/10. It's like getting grease with a side of chicken. Even the smell of thier chicken makes my stomach turn. All three points come from having decent sides here, the chicken is simply inedible.
-
Pizza Hut - 1/10. They kinda uh suck bad around here.
Dominoes - 3/10. Edible.
Papa Johns - 6/10. The only competent pizza group around Kalamazoo.
Quiznos - NA.
Popeyes - NA.
-
Heee. Good mashed potatoes from a fast food restaurant. That's... that's cute. Really. I'm not being belittling at all. srsly
It's not as if your opinion in food matters in what I eat in any way regardless~
-
Pizza Hut: 8/10: Maybe it's just the PIzza Huts I've gone too but they aren't that greasy. Also best bread and sauce.
Dominoes: 0/10: Maybe they've improved, but I'm not taking that chance.
Papa Johns: 5/10: Average as average gets.
Quiznos: 2/10: Subway mark 2.
Popeyes: 6/10: I prefer KFC but they're acceptable.
-
Disclaimer: I rarely eat fast food (Less than once a month, ignoring subway which happens slightly more often.)
Pizza Hut: 8/10. If I'm going to eat badly, it'll be at pizza hut. More than one slice is asking for it though.
Dominoes- 4/10. Pizza's not good and the sides are pretty standard besides for sandwhiches, which I won't eat due to them being unhealthy even by fast food standards.
Papa Johns- 6/10. Okay enough.
Quiznos- 6/10. Love subs, hate the prices.
Popeyes- 1/10. Gross.
-
Pizza Hut: 8/10 -- Stuffed crust pizza <3
Dominoes: 6/10 -- Generally "ugh," but their breadsticks are a-w-e-s-o-m-e, and their new recipe is a surprising improvement. Then again, they were improving on cardboard.
Papa Johns: */10 -- Never been.
Quiznos: 7/10 -- The sammies are a great option. Cheap and somewhat healthy AND tasty! I also like a few of their subs, custom. Their biggest point against them is how goddamn expensive their real stuff is relative to other sandwich shops. Panera is a better value.
Popeyes: */10 -- Never been.
-
Pizza Hut 4/10 Greasy as hell pizza, but good breadsticks at least
Dominoes 2/10 They get two points because I would eat their pizza rather than starve. That is the best thing about them
Papa Johns 6/10 they're okay I guess
Quiznos 6/10 good subs but wayyy too expensive
Popeyes 9/10 That dastardly Soppy stole the Little Nicky reference so I'll just have to content myself by saying they have the best chicken of any fast food place, and some of the best chicken in general. Would be 10/10 but they're a little pricey and I'm not too fond of any of their sides.
-
Pizza Hut- 7/10- I like pizza... their's is okay.
Dominoes- 7/10- See Pizza Hut
Papa Johns- 5/10- Isn't this the one where you have to bake your own? Fuck that.
Quiznos- 2/10- Yes I gave Subway 10/10 and Quiznos 2. Maybe I lived near a bad Quiznos but they always gave me shit for toppings and it seemed like it was all old.
Popeyes- 6/10- Only been there a few times. It was good... but not amazing.
-
Pizza Hut
Pizzas and side items are very good, but their prices are excessive. Would easily be a 10/10 if their twisted crust had been ongoing rather than a (very) limited promotion. During the time that was available I literally ate here every day for over a week.
9/10
Dominoes
Also tasty. The old recipe was good but a little on the dry side. The new recipe tastes amazing and has excellent texture but makes me a bit sick to my stomach if I eat more than a piece or two. Their side items are, if anything, even better than Pizza Hut.
9.5/10
Papa Johns
Extremely mediocre as far as pizza goes. But, is still pizza, so automatically better than non-fish alternatives.
7/10
Quiznos
I haven't eaten here often enough to judge fairly, I think? But offhand, mildly better than Subway to me?
3.5/10
Popeyes
I either don't have any of these around, or have never eaten at them.
-
Pizza Hut: 7/10. Funny, a year ago, this would have been a 1. Eating their recently has showed me how much it seems to have improved, and they have some good offers.
Domino's: 9.5/10. Heeeere we go. Choice fast food, yup. Mostly because they give you choice, and nothing is better than a nice hot BBQ Sauce and Meat Pizza. Except possibly a cold one the morning afterwards.
-
I basically live off pizza on the weekends.
Pizza Hut: 7/10 - Would have been lower if you made this about a year ago. Thin crust is still awesome though!
Dominoes: 6/10 - Good, but not great. The 4 4 4 deal is awesome.
Papa Johns: 5/10 - Don't go here enough anymore, but I do love me some meat lovers.
Quiznos: 3/10 - Prefer subway actually.
Popeyes: 6/10 - Good chicken is hard to come by. Wish it weren't so expensive.
-
Papa Johns- 5/10- Isn't this the one where you have to bake your own? Fuck that.
No, that's Papa Murphy's.
-
Pizza Hut- 3/10 To oily, and bread is bad
Dominoes- 3/10 Not as oily, but bread is still bad and ingredients isn't as good as Pizza hut
Papa Johns- 3/10 Blend, why can't Straberry Cone just take over US market? Whatever they make is better than these 3 added together? Pricey? Well, at least it taste good.
Quiznos- 7/10 good, if just a little lacking in variety. Hope they can increase on the flat bread menu, those are very nice
-
Gonna update this in a day or two, vote now!
-
Belated update tonight, vote now!
-
Pizza Hut - 5.5/10 - I loves me some cheese stuffed crust but they're pretty average aside from that.
Dominos - 7/10. This is counting their new recipe, which is really good for the price they ask for. Old recipe is more like a 3.5/10
Papa Johns - N/A the one time my family ordered from them it was an hour late and cold as fuck, so I don't think it'd be fair to vote on it based on an incompetent delivery boy.
Quiznos - 4/10 they're tasty but way too expensive.
-
Pizza Hutt- 8/10. The one nearest me has a very reasonable buffet, and the other one I visit is a combo Pizza Hutt/Wings Street, and I haven't not been impressed by anything I've had there. Also love the sauce, great for bread sticks.
-
Pizza Hut: N/A. Haven't had in recent memory.
Dominoes: 4/10. Kinda eh, but not terrible.
Papa Johns: N/A. Never been.
Quiznos: One less then I rated Subway/10. Decent, but too costly for what they are.
Popeyes: N/A. Never been.
-
Last call/reminder for me to update this. I keep forgetting for some stupid reason.

I shall when I get back from the dentist. Kick me if I don't.

Let's do a grab-bag of oddities this week!
In-and-Out Burger
Chick-Fil-A
Chipotle Mexican Grill
Church's Fried Chicken
Little Caesar's Pizza
-
In-and-Out Burger: N/A
Chick-Fil-A: 10/10. Amazing food, great fried and good milkshakes. Also they don't slather mayo on everything by default, win.
Chipotle Mexican Grill: N/A
Church's Fried Chicken: 3/10. Not impressed when I've had them.
Little Caesar's Pizza: 2/10. Junk.
-
In-and-Out Burger ---
Chick-Fil-A- 9/10. Hellz yeah. -1 point for not being for the poor.
Chipotle Mexican Grill ---
Church's Fried Chicken 2/10. Ew.
Little Caesar's Pizza- 9/10. Probably my pizza of choice as long as I am being a cheap bastard.
-
Little Caesar's Pizza - 6/10 - Good for the price. The sauce is more spicy than sweet, which is how I usually like it.
Aaaand the only one of those other ones I've ever even seen in my area is Chick-Fil-A and I never ate there.
-
In-and-Out Burger: 10/10. The price is extremely reasonable, the food is always freshly made with freshly prepared ingredients, their recipe is AMAZING, they do what they do and nothing more and they do it awesomely, and their milkshakes are tops. In-and-Out Burger is one of the top reasons I will likely never really leave California.
Chick-Fil-A: N/A. I see them, but I don't think I've been one since I was very little, so I don't really recall.
Chipotle Mexican Grill: 10/10. Again, the price is reasonable, the food is always prepared fresh, and they taste awesome. I love that you can customize their offerings to your liking. Burrito? Taco? (Crispy or soft? Corn or flour?) Bowl? Quesadilla? Would you like fajita vegetables? Rice? Beans? Pinto or black? Which salsa? They taste the best when you get the meat fresh off the line, but I love them any time. The fact that Andrew and I make a point to eat here once a week says enough, I think. Besides which, they practice progressive food handling policies, something I very much appreciate.
Church's Fried Chicken: N/A. See Chick-Fil-A. (Aside: I order chicken things at burger places, but I never go to chicken places. What's up with that?)
Little Caesar's Pizza: 7/10. They have $5 pizzas ready to go, their breadsticks are amazing, and they hold a special place in my heart for their prevalence in my childhood gustatory memories. That said, there are definitely pizzas I like better.
-
In-and-Out Burger- 6/10- Good for a burger place, superior to McDonalds and BK, but... not amazing. I'd rather have access to Wendy's dollar menu than In-and-Outs menu just about anyday.
Chick-Fil-A- NA
Chipotle Mexican Grill- 2/10- Only been a couple of times, and it... was not good
Church's Fried Chicken- NA
Little Caesar's Pizza- 5/10- The pizza isn't that good, but the 5 dollar peps were awesome for a drunk college student. (And when you're drunk, more stuff tastes good anyway.)
-
Chick-Fil-A- 9/10. Tasty. Bonus points for treating employees like human beings and being closed on sundays.
Chipotle Mexican Grill- 8/10. little expensive compared to say taco bell, but very good.
Little Caesar's Pizza- NA. Don't remember em, haven't had them in ages.
-
In-and-Out Burger: 5/10. Never really been impressed by it. Decent enough, but nothing special.
Chick-Fil-A: 9/10. The classic chicken sandwich alone gets them this. The lackluster waffle fries stop them from hitting that elusive 10, but DAMN are those chicken sandwiches good.
Chipotle Mexican Grill: Never been
Church's Fried Chicken: 0/10. Eaten this stuff twice, threw up both times(was over a year apart, figured the first time may have just been a bad batch. Nope, it's just that disgusting). I'll take Popeyes chicken over Church's without hesitation. I'll risk the chicken at Long John fucking Silvers before I eat this crap again.
Little Caesar's Pizza: 7/10. The $5 ready to go pizzas are a lifesaver sometimes. You get exactly what you pay for, though. It's a great $5 pizza, but it's still a $5 pizza. Breadsticks are great though. Still, for the price it really can't be beat.
-
Ah, missed out on a chance to give Papa John's 0/10. Whoops. Worst, sloppiest pizzas ever.
In-and-Out Burger - N/A
Chick-Fil-A - 0.5/10 and that .5 is for waffle fries. Their actual food and service are atrocious in every single instance I've been to across the country. A small lopsided piece of chicken with a tendency to have odd stringy sinews inside it, on a soggy bun, with one wilted leaf of lettuce and pickles embedded in the soggy bun - when I asked for no pickles. Yeah no. Nuggets are barely edible and come out a few hours later. Also lazy, rude employees. Maybe I've just been to bad ones but... three here in Austin, the one I went to in Pennsylvania and one in Missouri have all been like this.
Chipotle Mexican Grill - 9/10. This counts as fast food? In my book this is a decent restaurant. Not much to say about it.
Church's Fried Chicken - N/A
Little Caesar's Pizza - N/A
-
In-and-Out Burger - 10/10. Especially the one on Radford.
Chick-Fil-A - 6/10. Chick-Fil-Average.
Chipotle Mexican Grill - N/A. Never been
Church's Fried Chicken - N/A
Little Caesar's Pizza - 6/10. Haven't been there in years, but I remember it being on the better side of decent.
-
In-and-Out Burger 8/10 I have eaten there exactly once on vacation but I was suitably impressed. Need to go on a repeat visit to confirm before I bump it up higher.
Chick-Fil-A 7/10 Decent chicken and fries, but pricey.
Never been to the others, except for one Little Caesars visit that I do not remember at all.
-
Little Caesar's- 6/10. Haven't been in ages, but... yeah. I've tried $5 pizzas elsewhere, they aren't worth it. These guys? Yeah, it's a good $5 pizza, and less effort compared to a frozen pizza affair. Pity it's about a half hour drive to get to one, I'd keep them in regular rotation otherwise.
-
In-and-Out Burger
I've never eaten at one of these, or don't remember having done.
Chick-Fil-A
A bit spicier nuggets than McDonald's, but they have a nice taste. I think they tend to be a slightly better price per nugget, too, but that could be my imagination. Unlike most fast food places, their chicken strips and sandwiches are basically the same formula as their nuggets, which cuts down on variety, but eh, still very, very good.
Waffle fries are the only fast food side I actively seek out rather than sometimes tolerating if I'm especially hungry.
Their milk shakes are passable.
9.5/10
Chipotle Mexican Grill
I've never eaten at one of these since I don't like Mexican food.
Church's Fried Chicken
I've never eaten at one of these, or don't remember having done.
Little Caesar's Pizza
Best value for your money in fast food? I think so. $5 for a large pizza is as cheap as a large "cook up in the oven" pizza.
Their breadsticks are simply some of the most addictive food in the world. In a very strong field of pizza joint breadsticks, they stand above the crowd. They're also a better value than other pizza joint breadsticks, keeping with the trend.
I love Little Caesar's crust, too. My sole complaint, and it's kind of a nitpicky one, is that I wish they'd be a little less skimpy on the tomato sauce.
10/10
-
In-and-Out Burger- 10/10 See Lady Door for comment
Church's Fried Chicken- 3/10 Blend
-
In-and-Out Burger - NA
Chick-Fil-A - 1/10. I get tricked every god damn time. "No this won't make me queasy for the rest of the day oh god damn it."
Chipotle Mexican Grill - NA
Church's Fried Chicken - 3/10. It's not even KFC, much less Popeye's.
Little Caesar's Pizza - 7/10 5 buck pizzas are nice.
-
Church's Fried Chicken 2/10: Worthless
Little Caesar's Pizza 7/10: 5 bucks you know this.
-

In-and-Out Burger - N/A
Chick-Fil-A - 10 - My personal favorite place to go eat if I have a choice of fast foods!
Chipotle Mexican Grill - 5 - It's good, only been once, but I prefer Moes since they give you chips with yer food instead of having to buy them separetely.
Church's Fried Chicken - 5 - Good sometimes!
Little Caesar's Pizza - 6 - Good enough for quick cheap pizza!
-
Little Caesar's Pizza - 4. 5 dolla pizza. But that's it.
-
Gonna update this tonight. In the meanwhile, I have a question. I've milled through most of the big fast food places by now, do any of you have any writeins you'd like to see ranked? I think this topic is about concluded otherwise.
-
Write-in suggestions:
Steak and Shake
Smash! Burger
Good Times Burgers and Frozen Custard
Hamburger Stand
Winchell's Donuts
Noodles & Co.
-
Gimme a day.
-
Panda Express, Wienerschnitzel and Schlotzsky's are my suggestions.
-
Updating this tomorrow; giving Ultradude the rest of the day to post like he asked.
-
I can't really think of any major ones, myself, unless we branch into franchise restaurants (Applebee's).
-
I wouldn't mind moving on from fast food into franchise restaraunts, actually.
-

By the way, what the hell are progressive food handling policies?

-
Scholotzsky's: 0/10. I had them and I regretted it. Cheap food, overpriced and crappy sauces on everything.
-
Chipotle Mexican Grill: 10/10.
By the way, what the hell are progressive food handling policies?
Perhaps it was a poor choice of words, but I was referring to their Food With Integrity platform. Observe:
"The hallmarks of Food With Integrity include things like unprocessed, seasonal, family-farmed, sustainable, nutritious, naturally raised, added hormone free, organic, and artisanal. And, since embracing this philosophy, it's had tremendous impact on how we run our restaurants and our business. It's led us to serve more naturally raised meat than any other restaurant in the country, to push for more sustainable practices in produce farming, and to work with dairy suppliers to eliminate the use of added hormones from their operations. "

Panda Express - Well I ate at one in Arizona and it made me sick for a bit so 10/10 since this topic is about judging fast food places based on a few small locations

(This isn't aimed at you, but at the company)
That reads like a verbal blowjob given by the new internationalist editorial staff. I like Chipotle's food, but I'm not sure they could pile on more pretentious bullshit without having a new age 'I'm completely cool with everyone and everything' God come down and personally shit out the ingredients.
-
Was actually thinking much the same there...only with less, uh, descriptive word choices. It looks like Ye Olde List Of Buzzwords, which tends to make me a bit cautious of something rather then put me at ease. Especially since that so often turns into a flimsy excuse to charge higher prices.
-
It sounds like something to get the consumer dollars of the stereotypical lefty. I was going to say Californian since I thought they were based in California, but turns out they started in Denver. Oh well! Point is that it reads like an intellectual clap-trap of shit that looks good when you make six figures and spend all day in an office.

Well no shit. It's a fucking corporation, their job is to advertise and make themselves sound as "good" as possible. The flip side is that they get mired in corporate speak, but this is far from an egregious example of it. E.G., go buy some Domino's and read the fucking box. "Years of listening to feedback from our customers has lead us to create pizza perfectitude blah blah blah garlic bread blah blah blah blah blah." Same damn bullshit.
It's not even that bad since all that nonsense about them using organic vegetables and humanely raised meat is fucking true (http://"http://www.newsweek.com/id/135376").
I'm all for calling companies out on this sort of obfuscatory advertising, but really? Pick your fucking battles here.
EDIT: Speaking of Dominos, I'm upgrayedding them from a 4/10 to a 7/10. I hadn't had them since they changed their recipe. They're pretty damn greasy but it actually tastes good now. That focus group that trashed their product up and down was really good for them.
-
It's kind of interesting. On one hand, I agree with Super/Dune that it's a mumbo jumbo of hippie/yuppie words (organic is such a stupid word to describe a subset of living things that you eat...). When I see 'organic' vegetables at the store it's like buying the same vegetable at 1.5x the price so you can feel a warm, squishy feeling inside.
On the other hand, I do approve of ethical practices with regards to livestock and animals, since animals are traditionally abused in the corporate-type settings. Reading a bit about it is a little disgusting; a lot of the animals are designed to not even be able to walk and stuff which is terrible. But at the end of the day, I'm not sure if it's any more ethical to kill animals to eat period. So I guess it's a matter of your priorities.
-
My whole thing is that the corporate nonsense spouted off by Chipotle is something the corporation is actually attempting to do, instead of a sales tactic, as such language is normally associated with. Taking issue with that but not other advertising lingo spewed out by any other corporation? It's sheer retardation. That sort of language gets tossed around so often that it's actually quite nice to see it associated with some ethical stance the company is attempting to make instead of some trite sales tactic.

Yeah. It's pretty terrible when they get their Casual Fridays cancelled. I heard the cows at Goldman-Sachs had to take a 19% pay cut just because, while the CEO gets a pay raise. Awful.

Thus we have further proof of the fact that comedy songs from the mid 90s (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5s5qGg01nE)are inspired by Reaganomics

Re: Chipotle
Starting in Denver is the pretty much the same as starting in California. Most of the people here are either displaced Californians or wanna-be Californians. ;)
The oddest thing about that corporate bullshitspeak is that the kind of people most likely to respond positively to the sentiment are the kind of people most likely to be put off by the language.
But whatever, hate Mexican food, etc.
Steak and Shake
What it says on the tin: extremely high quality beef, extremely high quality milkshakes. Their hamburgers are done in a very unusual and tasty style and they always, always get them done properly (which is more than most places that use this much meat can say). All their food is excellent.
10/10
Smash! Burger
Speaking of high quality beef! Smash! Burger goes the opposite route from Steak & Shake, delivering huge, thick patties, which means for safety's sake you have to specifically ask for them well done. They offer tons of options on their burgers/chicken sandwiches, as well as three different types of high quality sides. With their not!healthy but look it kind of menu choices, they're definitely in the wanna-be Californian mold of Colorado businesses, but the stuff people actually buy is superb.
10/10
Good Times Burgers and Frozen Custard
Once upon a time, they had delicious fries, mildly battered and cooked to a gleaming golden sheen. Then the started serving shit-tastic heavily battered, heavily spiced fries. Then they got rid of their original fries entirely and started rebranding as a healthy (not) Dairy Queen alternative. At least they have the DQ-like thoroughly average hamburgers down.
3/10
Hamburger Stand
Recently added decent but unspectacular fish to a very tasty and cheap burger and fries menu. They're connected to... TasteeFreeze, I think? But I haven't been eating much ice cream since I started going here.
7.5/10
Winchell's Donuts
I guess they do something other than donuts? But why? Anyway, they're a tasty treat, the best of the major donut chains by a huge margin when it comes to the flavors I like.
7.5/10
Noodles & Co.
One of those "fast food joints trying to be healthy," and they may actually come in spitting distance of succeeding. Surprisingly, their food is decent, too.
7/10

Steak and Shake - 8 - One of the best late night beer munchies spots around. though I prefer Village Inn to this any drunk day of the week! (Ate at Village inn last night, DELICIOUS!)

Looks like this thread is dead, but I had a great time reading the posts and thought I'd share my ratings as well.
Chick-Fil-A - 10/10
I love this place, even though I worked there for 1.5 years. The chicken is always delicious, Polynesian sauce is amazing, and their sweet tea is the nectar of the gods. You really can't go wrong with much here, and I know from my work experience that most CFAs are scarily dedicated to providing ultimate service and quality in their junk food. If you don't mind the calories, those milkshakes are amazing.
Little Caesar's - 3/10
Their pizza tastes like a cracker with cheese on it.
KFC - 2/10
Even though they have veggies, everything is cooked with this horrifying grease that scares me to death. I have never seen a clean KFC. Also, the double down is disgusting. That said, it's chicken, so it can't be all bad.
Pizza Hut - 7/10
Generally satisfying pizza, and their other food isn't so bad either. Not my favorite place, but I'll eat there with friends.
Taco Bell - 10/10
Almost as good as CFA. Soft Tacos are cheap, filling, and delicious. I also like the quesadillas. Don't know what sauce is in them, but it has me hooked.
Checkers/Rally's - 5/10
I have never eaten a meal here, but their fries are great.
Panera - 2/10
Awful wannabe hipster lounge. Their bagels are pretty good, though.
Wendy's - 7/10
Generally solid, but it really depends on the store. Sometimes their burgers are never cooked right, sometimes they're amazing. I've always liked their fries, and frosties seem lighter than most fast food desserts.
Dairy Queen - 5/10
Only the ice cream is good, and it's not as good as Friendly's, Ben and Jerry's, or even Chick-Fil-A's.
Sonic - 6/10
Drinks are awesome, food is all right but ultra-greasy.
Domino's - 8/10
I thought they were just BSing about changing their pizza formula, but they weren't! Wow, it's actually really good now. Used to hate Domino's, but now I can dig 'em. They still deliver too, unlike several other pizza places.
Hardee's - 4/10
Eh, they aren't bad, but decidedly middle tier.
Subway - 3/10
What people see in this place I will never know. Their food is NOT any healthier than the average fast food. Bread always outweighs everything they put on the sandwich, and said stuff tends to be flavorless.
McDonalds - 2/10
They get a point for serving southern-style chicken in the north (one of the things I miss most when I'm up there) but otherwise their food is toxic.
Quizno's - 6/10
Pretty good sub shop, nothing extremely special though.
Dunkin Donuts - 1/10
I swear they just rub transfat in to everything. Their drinks aren't even good. I have heard the coffee is good, but I am not a coffee person.
Papa John's - 5/10
Middle tier pizza.
Arby's - 4/10
Way overrated. I will never understand what people see in this place. Their menu has no focus, and I can never figure out what their specialty is. Other places have better chicken, beef, and side items.
Burger King - 8/10
Wow, surprised this has such a low rating. I'd say I have a good experience at BK most of the time, but I guess I could just be getting lucky. Icees are a big plus. When I want a giant, fattening sloppy burger, I'll pick BK 9 times out of 10.
Krispy Kreme - 1/10
Sugar overload
White Castle - 2/10
All right, but not as good as Krystal.
-
I am disappointed that this was not a Fast-Food rankings Lets Play.
-
I'm pretty sure there's a show about that. "Man Engulfs Food" or something along those lines.
Side note on topic: Yeah, Dominoes isn't kidding. New version's pretty good.
-

What, should I read the whole thread out loud and make non-witty comments?
... I've seen worse.
-
I am picturing it being something like this
Sonic's: 3/10 I like the chili cheese fries, but everything else sucks and is way expensive
ndiments, and their 5 dollar footlong deals are quite reasonable.
I guess those Chilli cheese fries make him all ... hot and bothered!
Dominoes: 6/10 -- Generally "ugh," but their breadsticks are a-w-e-s-o-m-e, and their new recipe is a surprising improvement. Then again, they were improving on cardboard.
I guess those breadsticks make him all .. hot and bothered!
Repeated ad nauseum.
