Possibly interested.
-
Well I'll need to know when to get on/set up an auto-draft for myself, but interested.
-
Sure.
-
The people have demanded it. Now make it happen!
-
Sure.
-
1. super
2. Scar
3. Ciato
4. Ultradude
5. Shale
Need three more.
-
I'll fill in a spot but I'll probably forget about it and never have a good lineup. <_<
-
I always forget too :)
-
Did Super mention that 1000 potch is on the line!!!!!!!!!
-
1. super
2. Scar
3. Ciato
4. Ultradude
5. Shale
6. Yakumo
7. Monkey
8. AAA
Need to talk to Ciato.
-
http://football.fantasysports.yahoo.com/f1/223682
Created. League password is Crono. I chose offline draft, so a draft can be done via board topic. That sound fine to everyone?
-
Tried accessing the page, it gave me an error message. Says I'm not in the league.
-
Same
-
I'll just manually email invites, since I am still learning this. Sent one to Scar and Trips. What's everyone else's email?
EDIT: Ultradude, just sent an invite to your email account.
-
Everyone but UD's signed up, and he can sign in whenever.
For the draft: 10 rounds (8 normal+2 bench). I'll random roll out the order of the first round, then reverse the draft order for each round after that. *Rolls out*
1. Ultradude 2. Super 3. Monkey 4. Yakumo 5. Shale 6. AAA 7. Scar 8. Ciato
Is what I came up with. Blame Hatbot. Round two would go from Ciato to UD, round three from Ciato to UD etc.
Postions: QB, WR (3x), RB (2x), TE (1x), kicker (1x), defense (1x). If you want to ditch kicker or anything like that, just say so.
-
Signed up, fine with all of that.
-
Works for me. Just posting picks in here?
-
Yep. 8 person league has the advantage that everyone should have a pretty damn good team.
Ultradude, start whenever you're ready if no one has an objection.
-
draft Dan Marino!
-
Any spots left?
-
I think we're full for now, though we can always use someone to pop in and grab a team when/if something happens.
Edit: oh right. We need even teams in this league, so if you can find a 10th that'd work. Shouldn't spread teams too far.
-
Taking Brian Westbrook.
-
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota Vikings.
-
Ladanian Tomlinson, RB, Chargers
-
Michael Turner, RB, Falcons.
-
Like I'm touching anyone associated with Denver this season.

-
Chris Johnson, RB, Tennessee Titans.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona Cardinals.

Andre Johnson, WR, Huston Texans

Steve Slaton, RB, Texans.
-
Jay Cutler, QB, Bears

What the hell.
Tom Brady, QB, New England Patriots
-
ULTIMATE BETRAYAAAALL
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers
And every Ciato-ran FF team needs a CROSS-DRESSER so ...
Clinton Portis, RB, Washington Redskins
-
Damn!
Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York Giants
-
Oh yes. Do you all want me to extend the draft to 14 rounds, so we cover the bench as well?
-
I'd say 16 if this were online, but 14 should do at the pace we're going, and I'd like to draft a bench.
-
Ditto.
-
I don't care either way.
Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis
-
Kurt Warner, QB, Cardinals.
-
Anquan Boldin, WR, Cardinals.

Brandon Marshall, WR, Denver Broncos
-
Wes Welker, WR, Patriots

Marques Colston, WR, Saints

Santonio Holmes, WR, Steelers.
-
Scar, I think it's something to do with the fact that he called himself a football solider or said some asinine comment comparing himself to the military.
-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I82BPA5QAaQ
-
David Akers, kicker, Eagles
-
Steelers defense.
-
I am en route to Baltimore for Otakon, and won't have net access until I get back. In the meantime, I've bribed Sopko into using my draft chart to post picks for me.
-
You are setting yourself up for sabatoge.
-
Like Super wouldn't sabotage me if I just left the topic alone for four days?
-
I'd be more worried about rabid Ciatos and Scars in that case.
-
Kevin Boss, TE, Giants
Antonio Bryant, WR, Buccaneers
-
Donovan McNabb, QB, Eagles
-
Donald Driver, WR, Packers
-
Ravens defense.
-
Since I completely fail at life, the scoring for this game is 1 QB/2 RBs/1 TE/3 WRs/1 K/1 Defense
Forgot to list TE here, though it was on site. My apologies.

I have returned. Much thanks to Soppy for his help.
-
Chad Ochocinco, WR, Cincinnati
-
Scar picked Bowe in round 5.
-
Oh, he misspelled Dwayne. Not my fault!
-
That mistake is fixed.
-
No internet!
Lendale White, RB, Tennessee Titans
-
DeSean Jackson, WR, Eagles
Matt Schaub, QB, Texans
-
Carson Palmer, QB, Cincinatti bengals
Two QBs coming off of injured seasons! What could possibly go wrong!
-
I was going to pick him, but the fact that he didn't get surgery at all made me a little nervous. At least Thomas's injury wasn't to the part of his body which makes him all the money (okay, besides his beautiful face and handsome good looks).
-
Matt Cassel, QB, Kansas City
-
Pierre Thomas, RB, Saints.
-
David Garrard, QB, Jaguars.
-

Knee injuries can fuck up a QB's foot mechanics in fairness. That's usually what takes them so long ot come back from ACL tears. Brady got lucky and had his on week 1, so he should be good to go.
-
Jamal Lewis, RB, Browns
-
Laveranues Coles, WR, Bengals
-
Matt Ryan, QB, Falcons
Chris Chambers, WR, Chargers
-
Brett Favre, QB, University of Southern Mississippi/free agent

Bwahahaahaaa
-
Don't hate, dear.
-
Bwahahaahaaa
-
You know the pick was awesome just for the reactions. Bow.
Besides, what are the odds Donovan McNabb misses a game?
-
What are the odds you come crawling back to trade for Romo once that happens?
-
You just don't want to have the vile taint of the Cowboys on your team. I'll start Shaun Hill before I touch Romo.
-
ROOOOOOOOOOOOMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE YOOOOOU!!
-
Eli Manning, QB, Giants
-
Willie Parker, RB, Steelers.
-
Lee Evans, WR, Bills.

...two Patriot players on my team, no Phins or Bucs.

~
How many more rounds are there?
Or rather, after this pick how many more players am I drafting?
-
15 rounds. 9 starting spots+six bench.

Weeeeeee
So two more picks for me, ey!

*Blinks* Fasano's your starting TE? Good luck with that one. I'll put the stuff on site whenever Ciato picks, and I'll just whap people before the season starts/etc. Should be fun!
-
Seven TDs
How many did Witten have?
Oh yeah, less.
ZING!
-
He also had like half the catches. Fasano I wouldn't count on at all, he was too fluky from week to week.
-
TED GINN JR YEAAAAH
-
We are playing a PPR league?
Hella lame.
-
I didn't know that either.
-
Not as far as I know, Scar? I haven't looked at settings too closely. But it just means Witten will get far more looks and chances to score than Fasano.
I'll look at settings as soon as I'm done putting the draft in (I'm 3 out of 8 right now). They can be adjusted however people want.
-
Yeah, the scoring's not PPR, just more targets generally means more yards and touchdowns.
-
Results entered, etc. I didn't bother putting it in precise draft order, but everyone has their players.
-
Witten and Fasano's numbers last year are similar enough where I don't care. Less yards more Tds, it evened out give or take a few points. Not enough for me to care though. Plus Fasano was a number 2 TE and showed promise being the featured player....plus Pennington doesn't have a rocket so I feel he might show a young TE more lovin now that the two of them have some chemistry.
Plus, if he is a bust there's loads of Tight Ends readily available for me to pick up any time I choose. TE was not a important piece of this well trained machine anyways.
-
Fasano was functionally the 1. David Martin is a bad joke as starting TE (I've been there, he's a former Packer.)
Witten should get enough looks with TO gone to make the high pick worth it. I reached on him and the Steelers defense, but they were also clearely the best options for the positions.
-
Oh, speaking of league rules, is there any restriction on which players you're allowed to trade? I know some systems prevent you from cutting a first-round pick, and if the picks weren't entered in order I can see that causing problems, of the "what do you mean I can't cut my backup TE" variety.
-
No restrictions on trading or anything else.
-
QB: Aaron Rodgers, Packers; Matt Schuab, Texans
RB: Chris Johnson, Titans; Clinton Portis, Redskins; Kevin Smith, Lions; Darren McFadden, Raiders
WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Cardinals; Hines Ward, Steelers; Roy Williams, Cowboys; DeSean Jackson, Eagles; Jerricho Cotchery, Jets; Ted Ginn Jr., Dolphins
TE: Owen Daniels, Texans
DEF: Tennessee
K: Ryan Longwell, Vikings
-
If I could give some advice...
If possibly, get rid of the decimals?
-
Fixed.
Questions now:
Do you want points per receptions? Per completion?
-
I'm fine with standard scoring (i.e. no PPR/PPC).
-
I wouldn't mind .5 in a PPR situation. PPC I'm unsure on.
-
No Favre and Edwards failed his first physical.
Supes' team is off to a great start!
-
Oh yeah. Just make a post here if you make any changes for injuries or say fluke retirements. *Cough*. (Cut Favre/Avery for Jason campbell/Nate washington.)
-
Why do you want posts in here? They're on the league page too. I guess if non-participants care it matters?
Anyway, on the fluke retirement front(sorta), cut Clayton a while ago for Derrick Mason when he decided to come back. And if Crabtree doesn't get his head out of his ass soon I'll have to fix that problem too. *sigh*
Oh, and a quick note to Trips, Monkey, and Ciato, your starting lineups have to be set manually. You would probably see it on your own eventually but just in case figured I'd mention it.
-
since I never check the league. <_<
I'd cut bait on Crabtree. He's not going to be a fantasy factor this season. Every report I've read has him holding out till labor day.
Edit: Cut Trent Edwards for Kevin Walter. The Bills offensive line looks really awful. I dont' think Edwards is going to last long this season.
-
Monkey and Trips, set your teams. We start next Thursday, yay.
-
Done
-
Monkey still needs to set his roster, someone that can hit him up on AIM or something might want to remind him.
-
I have a couple of times, no response. I'll try poking him on Steam.
-
Quick question: I put in a wavier claim. How do I get it to go through/what needs to be done?
-
This is how I think it works, from reading the rather poorly-written Yahoo help file (which talks about it in the context of cutting players): When you make a waiver claim, you then wait two days. If nobody with a higher waiver number than you has claimed that player at the end of two days, he's yours. When you're awarded the player, you're also bumped to the bottom of the list for waiver claims.
-
*Nods* Cool, thanks. This week I get... Trips.
Hopefully Cutler will keep throwing picks! TDs are bad, Jay. Bad I say!
-
Two questions. How did I manage to pick an entire starting lineup that got outscored by Drew Brees, and how did Cutler count for positive points at all for that game, let alone more than anyone on my team besides Brees? <_<
-
Interceptions are only -1. His TD and INT offsets each other there, and he threw for a fair chunk of yardage.
-
I'm not asking seriously, I'm bitching like the sad loser I am. :P Though seriously, only -1 for an INT? That's pretty soft. Eh. My whole team can't STAY that bad, right? ...right?
-
If we run this next year, I'm going to want to tinker with the scoring some. Dislike how standard scoring overinflates TDs, though PPR helps with that. -2 for INTs is cool as well.
Olsen will have better games. The Packers set Charles Woodson on him most of the time last week, and he won't be up against an all pro level CB every week. Beyond that, welp. Derrick Ward is available for trade!
-
Totalling up the points from my bench, I see that if I'd started Romo and Addai, I'd have easily had the second-most points in the league...and gotten destroyed by Team Super anyway. Adrian Peterson is a scary motherfucker.
-
Sep 16 6:58am John Carlson (Sea - TE) Add Waivers The Sexy Scarettes majin_rad_shadow
Sep 16 6:58am Anthony Fasano (Mia - TE) Drop The Sexy Scarettes Waivers majin_rad_shadow
Hi Scar!
You are a ho for taking Flacco. Time to grab Pennington and hope for the best.
-
Adrian Peterson is a scary motherfucker.
-
Set your lineups for tomorrow.
Monkey- Tomlinson's out. Ultradude: Antonio Bryant is out as well, remove both from your lineups.
Edit: Going with the comedy 'start Favre' option myself. What could go wrong?
Edit: Speaking of that, Welker inactive. The unvierse hates Trips.
-
Make sure you set lineups and don't forget to bench players on byes. Etc.
-
The league needs more activity. Respond to my trash talking!
Bye the way, last week I went 4-0 in my fantasy football leagues!
*poses*
Also, I need Portis, Gore, Winslow and Mcgahee to complete my Miami U masterpiece!
Trade me motherfuckers!
-
I save my trash talking for IMs, like a real man.
Man I need less Vikings/Packers in my lineup.
-
*sips tea* I let my record do all the talking.
(I feel bad just saying that. I am the worst trash talker ever.)
-
My record says that I'm floundering in uselessness.
Should I smack talk more?
-
*Hands Shale a blindfold*
-
Gah, got that message from super but not in time to select a new RB.
Apparently, once games have started you can't sign anyone new for the week, even if they haven't played yet.
-
The SF defense was ridiculous. I figured they'd be a better idea than the Titans, but fuck if that wasn't absurd.
Also glad I ended up winning by 12, the not starting the kicker thing didn't matter.
-
Yeah, that could have been really lame.
Still, what the hell, SF.
-
My team needs more Miami players.
Make it happen fellas!
-
One idea I was bouncing around (For starting next week) is making the WR3 spot a flex play for WR/TE/RBs. People have any opinion on that? Donno how much people would object to a midseason change in the format, but it's at least a way to make things more flexible. No idea how it'd impact my own team.
-
midseason change in the format
no
-
Yeah, I wanted the change early, but I am voting no now.
-
I'd laugh if I saw anyone play 2 TEs over a third WR or RB.
-
midseason change in the format
no
-
I'd laugh if I saw anyone play 2 TEs over a third WR or RB.
This.
-
Yeah, figured it wouldn't get approval but it's worth mentioning. If we run this next year it's a change I'll make.
-
So, good call there benching Favre.
-
I'm more annoyed by benching Ray Rice. Oh well. Edit: I still whipped Yakko's butt, so it's all good.
Ooooooooh Scar. Second highest scorer and you're going to lose by 50~ points. Nice work.
-
Trips, set your lineup for the week.
-
jesus how am i tied for second
-
Wasn't that not a tie at the beginning of the week? >_>
-
Seriously? 170 points is gay.
-
Bwahahahahahaha!
(WTF I almost tripled my score from last week. Where the fuck was that when I was scoring 60?)
-
Okay now it's not a tie whatever.
-
Man, am I glad Boldin hurt himself and made me decide to gamble that Miles Austin wasn't a one-game wonder. <_<
-
Man am I sorry I started Roethlisberger over Romo.
-
Shale, Trips: You've got players on byes in your lineup. Everyone else, set lineups/get ready.
-
Man, so glad I ended up starting Rodgers instead of Schuab.
-
What the fuck, Houston.
-
Thanks for having my back, Texans. Shale probably has the strongest overall roster at this point, so I'm glad I got my two wins over him.
Now to just deal with a certain cruel ogress who stole Aaron Rodgers!
-
:D. Already 0-1!
-
Shale also seems to have horrible luck with picking the right players to actually play, given that 3-5 record. <_<
-
It's more that I (a) make terrible choices to replace people on bye weeks and (b) hate the Texans. This extends to both this week's shenanigans (Slaton and Daniels out in the first quarter? Fuck you!) and Slaton's early-season crapfest.
-
I on the other hand like the Texans :)
Gooo Matt Schuab!
-
Screw running backs.
-
You drafted Brian Westbrook with the first overall pick. That is begging for it.
*Shakes fist at farmgirl* I'll get you yet! I hope. My WRs have criminally under performed, but I've got two of the best fantasy RBs in the league right now, plus Pierre Thomas. If Johnson and Jennings can play up to potential, I should be okay.
-
I didn't even play him.
I have tons of running backs! Lots of good ones! Except this week.
-
Marshawn Lynch's value is near nil because the Bills have absolutely no offense to speak of, Westbrook I wouldn't have touched before the 4th with his injury history, Brown's a good pickup and Bradshaw's not even his starting RB. It's a decent group but could be better.
Your Wrs have done better at a glance.
-
This is true, though I'm just happy with Lynch hitting double digits.
I'm adding another as well ._.
-
I don't get my 2-6 record at all!
I mean three of my players are ton ten in fantasy points....gah!
So instead of bitch about that, I am just turning my team into a Hurricane squad.
...
With Brady as my QB!
~
In other league news!
I am in four leagues.
I have two teams that are 2-6 and my best team is 6-2 while the other team is managing a 4-3 record.
Weeeeeeeeeeeee
-
Trips, you have players on a bye in your lineup.
-
Fucking broncos defense, man...
-
Okay, now that was overkill.
-
General warning: This week is the first Thursday game of the season. If you've got any Bears or Niners in your lineup, get them set before tomorrow night.
-
PMed you Ultradude.
-
I do not believe I just made that comeback.
-
THROW TO WELKER GOD DAMN IT STOP TOSSING TDS TO MOSS
Ahem. My WRs are allergic to the football.
-
Two in a row!
-
Goddammit, BOTH my RBs were hurt early and didn't come back. Turner was tearing them up, too. ;_;
-
I need 22 points from Ray Rice. Mmm, possible but that's pushing it even for the Browns.
-
You think that's bad? I need 36 points from Baltimore's defense.
Also I told you I should have started Forte over Benson. This'll teach me to listen to four people shouting me down instead of my gut. <_< If I'd done that I'd only need 22 points from the defense!
-
In short, Baltimore needs to win 90-0 thanks to several Ray Rice TDs and fumble returns for TDs *Nodnod*
-
I could live with that.
-
I stand by the bench Forte advice. That was some fluke luck there. The Bears can't run block worth a damn and two of those checkdowns were freak luck that they blew up like that. But yeah, happens. At least Sydney Rice has been good!
-
If I hadn't listened to you I would have won my game, though.
-
Huh? Your best possible lineup would have given you a tie.
-
Err... bugger. This is why I shouldn't do math after midnight. @_@
-
If it makes you feel any better I have Ronnie Brown and Michael Turner both out in one of my other FF leagues.
Brown... =(
-
Thursday night, set your lineup. (New Orleans and Carolina)
-
MIAMI and Carolina, Super. >_>
-
Considering the weirdness of the timing (Thursday night game+Ronnie brown going on IR yesterday), I'm considering force dropping Brown from UD's lineup for the week. Any objections to that? Edit: Trips had none, so I'm dropping Brown from UD's lineup.
-
UD set your lineup.
-
UD set someone in your lineup for WR. *Cracks whip*
Thank god Monkey finally cut bait on TO, or else I would've gotten slaughtered this week.
-
Set lineups if you have players in the thursday games.
-
Sooo not making the playoffs!
-
I can't believe I won that week with my combined 11 points or so from my WRs. Thank you Saints defense.
-
Heads up- Set lineups for thursday night games for all of you.
-
Like I said before, I have NO IDEA how my team had such a bad record. >_>
-
Two times I play against Shale, two times Tony Romo should have kicked my ass but was on the bench. <_< >_>
-
ROOOOOOMOOOOOOOOO!
-
Looks like Yakumo has the title in the bag. Congratulations to him!
