Writeup Graveyard / Karel (vs Carol)
« on: September 21, 2008, 05:40:53 PM »
Yes... Karel's blade thirsts for the blood of great warriors... this is - wait, a little girl with a missile launcher backpack? Is this a joke? Sending a child into the arena against Karel is folly. While Carol's speed is nothing to laugh at, and she can drain his health into her own away while ignoring his excellent evasion, this strategy takes time to actually kill the opponent. Time that Carol won't have, as the longer she takes to drop her foe the more likely it is she'll be cut down in one fell swoop of critical damage. Karel will show this lackluster 'dueler' no mercy, even if their names are similar. Maybe he'll find a more worthy opponent next round.

Writeup Graveyard / Dragon (vs. Firkraag)
« on: May 12, 2008, 02:49:29 AM »
Well! Isn't this quite a fight for the mighty Dragon of Fire Emblem 7! He's had his fair share of NR success in the past, yet despite his might he has yet to claim the championship that he deserves. However, this time nothing will stand in his way, and his very first opponent will set the tone for the entire season; a truly epic clash between mighty dragons, both red hot wielders of flame breath. Firkraag is a truly mighty dragon; he possesses a wealth of powerful spells, immunity to fire damage, and enormously high AC. Fortunately, Dragon cares not about these factors; his own breath is neither physical nor magical in nature, allowing it to bypass the best of Firkraag's tricks, and it's excessive accuracy negates the Red Dragon's high AC. Meanwhile, Dragon possess defenses that will drastically reduce Firkraag's damage, while returning every blow with a mighty counterattack, the ITD nature of his breath chewing through Firkraag's suspect HP. And if any mischief makers attempt to interfere with Dragon's battles? Well... I'm sure you've heard the old adage about meddling in the affairs of dragons...
