I think you might be wrong about resistance being half damage. It seems a bit stronger than that, Yamato Takeru was doing 75 damage with hits of his physical to my party and only about 20 damage to Catoblepas, which is very nearly exactly 25% normal. Anyway, I went ahead and got data on him since I happened to be playing through. I was gonna get more but I have some other stuff to pay attention to and the files been sitting untouched for a while so I figured I'd post it. I tried to do things as you did for this.

PC Level: 53 for Flynn, 48-53 for relevant demons
PC HP: 525 (w/ Doping: 682, although that's just a calculation)
PC MP: 195, though I didn't have many MP optimized demons. Would probs be about 20 points higher at good levels
PC Damage: ~255 ignoring resistances and ignoring de/buffs entirely (more noticable in this fight due to his ameno spam).  Guest offers ~170 ignoring resistances, taking into account that Critical Wave crits and misses a lot and he loves to spam it. His reliable move (agidyne) exactly hits that average.

YAMATO TAKERU
HP: 6400~ (2.15 PCHP)

Race: Famed
Repels Lightning
Nulls Light, Dark
Never goes first?

2 Actions a round.

Cross Dressing: No one seems to know what this does. It doesn't cleanse buffs, change resistances, boost crit rate, or anything. Someone claims it changes Alignment, which has only affects 3 skills you shouldn't even have yet and would need a New Game + to confirm. Just assume it's a charge turn.
Physical: 1-2 hits of 75 physical damage.
Homeland Song: 2-3 hits of 90 almighty damage, random target. Only used after Cross Dressing.
Ameno Murakumo: 150 MT almighty damage, target attack -1. Above 50% HP he only uses this after Cross Dressing or after a Physical attack. Below 50% HP he can use it in conjunction with either Berserker God, a Physical, or itself.
Maziodyne: 180 lightning damage, MT. He doesn't use this too often, the only time I ever saw this used twice in a row was under 25% HP on half turn.
Berserker God: 275 physical damage. Only used below 75% HP.

75% Health: "Know you cannot compare to me, who holds a nation on his shoulders. I protect the people."
You're Authority's Servant: Yamato Takeru gets +1 Atk and +1 Def
You're Tayama's Slave: Yamato Takeru gets -1 Atk

50% Health: Would you let this happen if you were the ones the law benefitted?
Yeah: Yamato Takeru gets -1 Def
Nah: All of Flynn's stats -1

25% Health: How can you go against law? Walter- "because STRONG"
In game, this is the point where Yamato Takeru seems to stop following a rigid pattern and just does whatever.
Also, I've never seen him critical above 25% health, but below it he suddenly seems to critical with his physical attacks about 50% of the time? At this point he starts getting a lot of crits when they would give him turns, but not after. I don't know if this is just bad luck or a legitimate stat change.

---------
Overview: Utter scrub in game due to buff abuse rendering his damage useless, but in a duel he's a bit better due to multihit focusing and whatnot. Yamato Takeru has a fairly reliable 2HKO in the form of Attack->Maziodyne, or Maziodyne->Maziodyne if you allow that, and after losing 1600 HP (0.5 PCHP) he can switch those out for Berserker God to really drive things home. Against targets that resist or null physical attacks he has a backup 3HKO with Homeland Song. Ameno Murakumo isn't really all that great but a reasonable almighty option and reliable MT. If you allow the critical phase he can pump out a lot of damage should he end up below .6~ pchp, which isn't too unlikely.

Just like in game, Takeru doesn't hit very hard and has trouble getting through buffs and healing. On the plus side, though, no weaknesses! I think he ends up somewhere in Middle.

EDIT: Actually, with decent durability and a 2HKO, he might end up somewhere in Heavy...

A minor note about Herald Dickweed: I believe that Great Lament is 100% charm non-chaos aligned targets (The MC is locked into chaos for this battle so there's no real way to check that with him).

I've never seen it charm a chaos demon and it's had a 100% success rate on neutral and law demons in my experience.

FFTA2 - Replaying it after finding it a few months ago. I'm taking missions a bit slower because I like to replay my old favorites, just reached the Three-Way attack from Duelhorn. Considering a challenge of some sort for my next playthrough, 'cuz the game really is too easy.

Kirby Mass Attack - Beat World 4 boss, discovered to my chagrin that in order to enter the final world I need to collect more medals. Thus, procrastination time.

Might as well join in somewhere!

First RPG played: I'm pretty sure the first RPG I ever played was Phantasy Star II. When I was quite young, my parents got a disc with a collection of Genesis games on it as well as a Sonic the Hedgehog one, and Phantasy Star II was one of them.
First RPG completed: Pokemon Yellow, if it counts. Otherwise, either FF1 DoS or Paper Mario 2.
First SRPG played: I wanted to say FFTA because that's the first one I owned, but then I remembered Shining Force was one of the games on that disc with PSII.
First SRPG completed: ...I'm thinking FFTA? I remember the final boss fight of TA, but I may not have gotten there legitimately because my copy was used... I do know I've beaten FFTA2 on my own skill a while back, so I'll go with that.
First ARPG played/completed: Played was Secret of Mana, but I only completed SD3(my second memorable ARPG) very recently.
First handheld RPG played/completed: Definitely Pokemon Yellow. If that doesn't count, Mega Man Battle Network 3?
First console owned: Game Boy Advance.
First video game played: Super Mario Land 2.
First RPG replayed: Ooh... Pokemon Sapphire. Traditional-RPG wise, I'd have to say Paper Mario 2.
How well do they hold up now (scale of 1-10):

PSII - 5/10. Honestly, it's a neat game and all, but rather simplistic and kind of obnoxious even for the time. The amount of depressing events is kinda over the top, and the plot is rather predictable. Music's kinda irritating as well. Didn't age that well, so yeah.
Pkmn Y - 7/10? It's a fun game and the music and world holds up even now, but the game suffers from a lot of bugs and questionable design choices. The engine was much improved come Gen II, but I still love the game so I can't condemn it lower.
FF 1 DoS - 7/10. A good remake of a mediocre game with balance issues. It's alright, it was fun for a while.
Paper Mario 2 - 9/10. I actually love this game. Might not be the hardest thing ever, but it's very well designed and looks nice. Characters are stellar as usual, and the game is much more fun than the other two of the series for me(I don't count Sticker Star).
Shining Force - Abstaining from voting here because I don't remember much of it.
FFTA - 5/10...? Game felt very unpolished for me, although it was fun at first. Graphics are a little weird and the plot is really bleh. Game's also easy as hell to break open, so I don't really see any reason to care for it. Still, it's a neat predecessor to one of my more enjoyed games.
FFTA2 - 8/10! I like this game a lot, especially since it looks nice and the characters are about 50x as interesting for me as opposed to the first one. A lot of things were fixed, but the game is still really damn easy if you know what to do. Lacks balance like the first, but hides it better and manages to be fun despite. Good.
Secret of Mana - 6-7/10? It's alright, but a little bad design wise and didn't draw my attention too much. Bad translation didn't quite help matters.
SD3 - 8/10! It's an awesome game that I've heard about for years but only really tried recently. It's one of the best looking games I can think of for its time, and I like the music. Unfortunately, I can't help but get a little irritated at yet another balancing failure combined with the large numbers of bugs (Agility not affecting evade rates, critical hits essentially not existing, et cetera) so I can't give it a 9/10.
MMBN3 - 7/10 It's a nice game with a lot of replay value. I've not really got much else to say on it.
Pokemon Sapphire - 8/10. I remember when I first played it in a store and was surprised by how well it presented itself. The large number of Pokes available(although they kinda lacked due to the whole hoenn dex thing) helped with strategies, and it sure was fun fighting actually vaguely dangerous Gyms for once. Great music.

Ok, so, I'm new and I have NO idea if this is how I'm supposed to note something like this, but I apologize in advance. I don't know if it's possible to PM a guest, so since I'm unable to just send this to Taishyr directly I figured I'd note it here.

Alright, so the Gate Core's Flare Cannon is listed as Almighty here. Unless I am very mistaken, I believe said attack is actually Fire damage, as it's affected by the Repel Fire Skill. I just checked Youtube to confirm such.

Again, I have no idea how important correcting this is, but I thought I'd note it regardless.

EDIT: Found the video in question! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WYLoyfl4LHA&t=04m25s
