Mentioning here incase people overlooked.
Kaneko and Machida are back in person to fundraise for their Wild Arms and Shadow Hearts spiritual seqeluel.

The Kaneko game is 100% spiritual sequel. It won't take place in any of the 9 parallel worlds of Fargaia. So don't expect Kaneko to finish any untold story.
But as of Machida's game, it seems there is tiny possibility of relating to Shadow Hearts 1's good end.

2
Live A Live remake finished.
Very good, Square is really doing the game justice.
SD3 and this, Square can be good as long as they try.

Near Future especially so, Tokida is such a man of culture to cone up with everything in there.
SF chapter also became scarier and reminded the fandom that it is the forbear of all the RPG maker horror rpgs.
On the other hand, the rebalancing had made the game significantly easier. Modern and Bakumatsu certainly wasn't this easy. Though, not to the point of triggering a complaint from me.
Oh and that newly added content in the end, it caught me in surprise in a very nice way.

Tried the Live A Live demo, and found out I can fight both Shintyu and Omega. This must be the only demo that allows you to fight the super bosses.

NEO: The World Ends With You - I have finally completed my own wonderful record and at 99% completion. 100% should be done by this weekend.
What a blast, had been playing this none stop for the past three weeks. Worth the over decade wait, but still have areas that's left to be desired.
I am completely satisfied on the gameplay, music, and art style front. 10/10 in those areas. And the aesthetic in general has completely surpassed the first game. It is actually fund to come up with various ways to destroy your enemy in the flashiest ways possible.

The story, albeit good, is somewhat unbalanced, as they are trying to save everything for the third week and everything until then is a build up for that. So the story doesn't feel as motivating compare to the first game where each week have something that keeps your focused.
Lack of interesting side character/quests also is a step behind from the first game. Lack of interesting quests like the ramen sub plot or the mabusura somewhat killed that impression that Shibuya is a city that has its own inhabitant doing its own things. Which is a really a shame, they have some interesting NPC this time but didn't really use them.

Character wise, it is like the first game, very to the point, but didn't explore more past that. But it end up hurting the general impression more this time around, as the game clearly tries to cook up the drama with Ayano and then Kanon. But really didn't deliver much due to lack of characterization. Rindo and Fret's transformation would have more impression two if they can reflect together on their issue in week 2.
That said, compare to Neku, the problem they are trying to discuss this time through Rindo is much more relatable, and the character transformation makes much more sense. It really has that feel that everything fit into the right place after all the plot elements are laid bare after week 3.

Finally, has the singer making mistake in the songs a series tradition now? Satisfy had glaring singing mistake back then, and they didn't even fix it when porting it to Switch. This time it is Shibuya Survivor that contains some very obvious error, almost felt like they did it on purpose.
But Transformation has sounds like 200x better than before, so I won't complain.

Saga Frontier Remaster - Couldn't beat Purple Shadow stage 3 trump card mode. I guess there are still mad man in the team to supply us with nonsensical super boss even after Koizumi took his leave.

God, making him use the trump card alone is hard enough, the overtly luck reliant slug fest after that is even more insane.

6
SaGa Frontier Remaster-

Beaten the super boss version if Boss X.
Not hard. He can be spoiled with the right defense gears. But it had too much hp making the fight a slug. The status induced by Judgement X is also very irritating.
But it just doesn't have enough damage, except the damage spike that came at low hp. But that came way too late to matter.
But guns are definitely superior in super boss fight. Sword and fist may ran out of WP due to how long the fight is.

And then beat the cheat Ninja after that.
It is a fight of luck, SaGa style. Too much over kill damage that you pray he uses attacks that can be spoiled and not those couldn't.
Star Light Shower, Retribution,  and Wind Blast back to back is just sick sick sick. And he always open the fight with TWO Snow Moon Flower, which is UGH UGH UGH.
He also has this weird Def spike in the middle if the turn where he gets stupidly tank and takes little damage.
That is his scariest trait. This guy had only like 70k or so hp at lowest enemy rank. So blitzing him away with two separate combo with Tower before he blitz you is like the only way to win. But during his weird Def spike, a 30000 damage combo becomes 8000. This is truly a test of luck.

7
SF1 Remaster- half way through. Blue, Coon, and Red are the only ones left.
Saving Red, my Favorite for the last.
Now carefully building my chars and carry stuff over to get myself prepared for the ninja super boss.
Though, is it just me or is the item drop rate much higher in Remaster? Farming Silver Gauntlet and Glenburn Shield has been so easy.

And yeah, Leonard is great. Being the type 6 means he can learn all the good program. Also has good base states and high wp. Especially the wp, arguably better than T260G thanks to that.

8
SaGa Frontier Remaster - this truly is a dream come true.
Blitz through the Asellus route. Trinity event is here,  Furdo and science lab event is here. Nusakan can join too!

There is also new game plus that let you carry over everything! So mo more redoing the something over and over again! This is just great!

9
Mo Astray -

I was reminded again how bad I am at plat forming game.
The wall climbing stage is especially rage inducing.
The spinning trap chamber boss fight is rage inducing.
The sky stage is rage inducing.
How fingers hurt is rage inducing....
But the aesthetic & story really made be persisted in playing.
I mean, the aesthetic is really really my thing. The whole lonely planet air and the game's of light in its general art direction.

The experience could be better if the OST can be a bit more exciting.
The OST is pleasant enough over all. But I don't know, it just felt to calm in general. Even the more fast paced boss themes felt that way.
The sky stage's theme is the only one that actually catches my attention on spot and gave some sense of excitement. (But damn the stage's design nailed me so hard with the music.)

10
Disgaea 6 - It really is about time for N1 to stop with Disgaea.
The story and characters are again not as fun as before.
They cut away the weapon skills and a large amount of of the common jobs.
The transmigration system gut buffed so much that the equipment and item world mattered less than before.
And then there is the auto button that just do the grinding for you.
And then it became a loop of auto battle-transmigration-auto battle-transmigration till there is nothing left to do....

Disgaea is... not like this. Just... what went wrong?

Buy the game Miki, buy the game. Give Vanilla Ware your money!
Kamiya went as far as defying orders from Atlus to get this game out. He needs to be rewarded. (Atlus ordered Kamiya to cut away 5 characters from the game. But Kamiya didn't listen and still made 13 character under the table.)

I bought it.  I meant I've been broadcasting it myself, not watching other people.

Ohhhh! You were streaming!? Link please!

Djinn, you are a brave man.
Are you doing boss states too?

13
The Tower Defense part?
It is a bit too easy is the problem.
Once you find out how to exploit the first generation and third generation, the game just become a easy walk over until you do the after game.

Though, just why there is a total of 9999 after game stages.
I mean, serious.

Just want to tell people this: Go play 13 Sentinel if you haven't! This thing is Game of Year material. And this one of those few games that can provide experience truly unique to a video game!

FF14 - To The Edge

When I noticed it, I was finding myself looping this again and again for past week.
This has to be Soken's best work since Heavens Ward.
The lyrics nailed it so much. I was pretty chill even at the 5.0 ending with Emet Selch and all that.
But I am having watery eyes when this track hit me.

I agree that the blowsiness of Trails really started to become noticable in CS 2. CS 1 had a really sensible plot progression and worked effectively to keep tension ramped up. CS 2 exploded with supposed deadly robots running around everywhere, but the only impact they had was to kill a mayor who I'm not even sure they bothered to give a name to. The Infernal Castle certainly hammered home the anime battle-ness to a point that I wonder if they are just intending for this to be a hyper-parody. Unfortunately, that seems to be the direction the series is running.

It got worse, it got A LOT worse.
Dragging through Sen 3 and Sen 4 was like a torture to me. Old school anime problems just explodes in full scale on the writing.
They fucking seriously needs to stop on the whole "hahaha I know everything but I won't tell you." And on both sides, STOP please. (I felt suicidal when Roze did this to everyone, and my brain literally stopped for a few seconds when Grand Master did this to Vita.)
It feels horrible when you find out the whole plot was driven not by logic and reasonable developments, but because people are not explaining things properly.
Oh, and cut off the "sokomadeda!" and "sonohitsuyohanai!" I am going to scream if they pull out those bad anime sequence every again.
The script needs writing also needs a lot of work. The way the characters boasting each other is just embarrassing.
Oh, and there is STILL no proper explanation on what Project Phantasmal Flame is all about. It took 6 games and they still cannot sort this out.
Seriously, the only reason I am still playing this series is because I already came this far.

SD3 ToM - Second cycle done, and full tried out every characters in game thanks to class reset. Here are me 2 cents.

Angela - game MVP, she is just great with her overpowering fire power. Grad Divina is great at busting grunts. She just need to Saint Beam most of times and things die. If not, Double Spell well do the magic. Arch Mage is more boss focused, but we have Magus for that.
Rune Master outright sucks because all lv.3 spells are buyable this time. Instant Death is also less potent. The only worth of this class is to carry over the Unfair link passive to the next cycle.
Magus is the true boss killed. Loads all the Pain Magic passive and both Anise and Black Rabi dies within 30 secs to Ancient.
EDIT: Tried Angela against Anise in light class. She can one shot Anise as well and much faster. So Magus is useless too now.

Duran - The man who can one shot Anise. Sword Master is just ridiculously strong that Duelist is rendered useless, and light jobs is only worth it if you have no healer. Seriously, Sword Master's passive is just too STRAONG. Duran can have up to 65% crit rate in class 4 under Sword Master. And since can get a 70% damage boost in crit, landing crit becomes super important.
The weakness passive and saber magic passive combined with Sword Master's already huge selection of saber spells just made it even more ridiculous. Light saber being buyable also fixed his only flaw.
Then there is Cyclone Sword, which hits huge area and big damage. A properly buffed Duran with light saber just one shots Anise in her second form.

Kevin - The poor man who got nerfed. He lost his advantage from multi hits. His passive isn't as good as Duran. He has crit damage amplification like Duran, but has no passive to boost the rate of it occurring. He does have a functioning energy ball now, but still not as high as Duran's 60%, but using the Energy Ball on Duran is a very good idea.
But he does became a better healer as Warrior Monk due to the passive that combines Heal Light with Tinkle Rain.

Charwette - Dechi! She is the person who choose her class depends on who you do not have in the team. Or else just go with Evil Shaman.
First, Arch Bishop is pretty much trash now that Turn Undead got nerfed.
Sage is pretty much a nerfed Sword Master.
Necromancer is good with Black Curse, but Riesz has bigger debuff value with her magic.
So the only job that stands out is Evil Shaman, who has the most comprehensive auto state reduction passive, that stacks too.

Riesz - Best buffer/debuffer due to her passive that boosts buff and debuff value.
Star Lancer is her best job due to permanent MT buff and auto state up passives. But Marduke got nerfed, silence rarely hits now.
Fenrir is the debuff version of Star Lancer, but less effective because the auto state down passive went to Charlotte.
Other two jobs are just masters of none that's not worth it.

Hawkeye - Weakest character in game as he is status attack focused, and those are not very effective in game.
Yes, chibi status is a great grunts killer. But Angela kills grunts much faster by just bew! bew! with Saint Beam or Double Spell.
Yes, ninjatsu has debuff, but Charlotte and Riesz does it better.
Then the heavens crushes down now that max hp reduction does not hit bosses, so Hawkeye lost his best weapon.
He does have a crit damage kit in Wanderer, but like Kevin, not as good as Duran. His atk is lower too, so overall not as good.
He also has a less comprehensive auto state up/down kit in Wanderer/Night Blade. Which may is only useful if Charlotte and Riesz is not around.
In the end, his contribution usually comes from casting Energy Ball as Wanderer on Duran, or be a Ninja Master and let Duran use the weakness hitting passive.

FF7RE - I got my Wall Market and I am satisfied. The gameplay actually being good is a nice surprise. Though, I must say a couple of boss fight is a bit of drag. As in some boss phases are too short while some are too long, and it kinda feels uncomfortable as a whole.
The newly added plot though... I guess this is what happens when Kitase goes all out with his desire to alter the story with Nomura doing it along side him instead of stopping him. I am having this feeling that Kitase is going to unload everything he wanted to change but couldn't during the recompilation project, thanks to this remake is actually a sequel thus he no longer has to fear about the backlashes of retconning.

SD3 Trails of Mana - The game kept all the corny designs back in the old days, including those random explosions. I highly approve of this. The current SD team really loves to tell its audience that their game is old school and they have no intention to modernize it beyond superficial level.
Though, they really could include more Heores of Mana tie ins. Anise being just a super boss is somewhat disappointing. I mean, that's it? For everything she did in HoM, that's it?
Also, the difficulty drop in the end game is a bit jarring. Stupid ally AI is the only thing that's maintaining the difficulty. Bosses' big move being interruptible end up being a really bad design.

Persona 5 Scramble - Resume to do the after game and the highest difficulty. I really like this game, more so then the main game.
Doesn't have to do any co-op actually made the game's pacing a lot better. Able to go in and out of the dungeons with no restriction is even better! Really, Persona main games after 3 has this homework like tedium due to all the time schedules, but Scramble took it all out and everything became twice as fun.

The dungeons are bigger this time and some reasonably challenging platforming missions. Battle is even more fast paced and the grinding is easy. And still feel like a Megaten despite adopting a musou like gameplay. The no buff/debuff no life gets even more serious here. Since the musou like gameplay means higher frequency of enemy offense, but they are still equally damaging megaten style.
Also, due to the musou style, aka huge amount of grunts, it makes status ailment extremely powerful. Especially brainwash, and you we get to see army og enemy grunts killing one another. While sleep and fear can easily remove any difficulty from Futaba Defense missions.

The aesthetic also got a big improvement in both dungeon design at the music. Especially the Okinawa Jail and Osaka Jail that are absolutely superb. More evident Persona needs less of Meguro. All the new composers out performed him. Last Surprise, that bored me completely in P5 also got arranged into something amazing in Scramble.
Really, like Sakuraba needs to be banned of his bad thing, Meguro really needs to be forbid from composing in the Perona style ever again. Serious, when can Meguro do another DDS or Strange Journey style soundtrack?

The antagonists this time got a different theme this time. Instead of plain evil like P5, antagonists in Scramble are victims turned predators, and some of them well intended extremists. With 4 of them being relatable to individual protagonists on our side. And instead of needing help to fix their personal problems, they become the ones who try to help the antagonists to come out of their trauma. Especially so in the case of Haru and Makoto.

As for the new characters... Sophia is not much. Another AI leans human heart 101 that has been done too many times.
Zenkichi on the other hand is a combination of powerless single father scenario with an adult defeated by corrupted institution scenario. With his problem ultimately boils down that he misinterpreted his daughter's expectations of him. Thus leading me to have some bad taste with him getting Persona powers to bail it out of his difficulties. I'd rather see him confront his problems without relying super powers. But other than that, he is a pretty likable character.

Though, I must ask again. Where is Mitsuru and her Shadow Walker?

19
Persona 5 Scramble-

The game is actually pretty fun. Has the good side of both ARPG and Musou.
And I can see they remembered Raidou games in how some of the bosses are done.
The risky mode also requires skills and more fund than I thought.

Though... just here is Mitsuru? Why is the Phantom Thieves solving shadow related crimes?
Where is she and whatis she doing with the tax payer money???

Atelier Twilight Trilogy DX Box - I know this is coming so I never purchased the enhanced version on Vita. Now I can enjoy them on PS4.

Though, instead of the game itself. The limited box item and pre-order item somewhat impressed me.
It revealed that Flameu and Chrone live past the age of Twilight into the era afterward, and left behind records of days past.
Chrone then even outlived Flameu and left behind recordings of the music they listened in the Twilight days.
My eyes were a little wet when Chrone prepared seats for her friends during the recording despite there are no one to seat on them anymore, and speaking in her not robotic voice to Flameu, telling her that the earth has finally starting to come back to life.

13 Sentinel - Game finished. Game length is 30 hours to reach the ending. This definitely my game of the year. I haven't played a Visual Novel this captivating for a long while now.
The real time SLG gameplay also has more complicity and actually challenging, thus fixed what I find lacking in the beta.

I must say this game has good pacing and avoid lard contents, something I hate in VN in general.
The story progress by feeding you information from completely different PoV from, with each PoV focus on different period of time in the story, none stop. It really hooks the player in wanting to find out how things connect, and how some conflicting information manage to be true at the same time. It keeps your brain running all the time to the point of making you feel the reading portion is more exhausting than the SLG portion, yet I just want more.
I spent doing almost nothing in the Thanksgiving weekend playing this simply because I couldn't stop.

Though, the most breath taking moment that made me choked on my own breath is when I was bashed with a super beautiful gay couple in an end game story route where my focus was 100% on the revelation plot. It caught me completely off guard and my mind literally went blank with this sudden ecstasy.
Thank you Vanilla, you are really the best.

EDIT: Okay so on the refight he didn't summon as many guards and I snuck in enough damage? Kay. I have now found THE PROFESSOR and her amazing entrance, but she does not ask me about finding any missing pets. I did find mice in a cave and uhhhhhhh I reloaded from before I entered the cave because that was an absolutely awful fight. :V

First, if Sarah is not your main, kick her ASAP. She is going to permanent leave eventually.

There four spirit type monster in the forest. Those are her pets. Give it back to her and she'll help you on the mice.
Start the mice quest and fight the mice first, then retreat. Then exist the cave (some one will be there to open the entrance.)
Then go to see Professor for help. She'll give you an item that can show you which is the real mice. Then go back to fight the mice again.

After this. See if you can activate Muse's dream quest. And try to travel to the inner area of Demon King's Castle. Where you'll find a door that ask you for a ring.
You can find the ring in Lance from someone. You can then exploit the Ring bug for infinite money.
After that, you can enter the Holy King's Trial in Lance with the ring. There is one specific trial that pits you to fight strong monsters. You can use the Giant and Sun Flower to grind techs. Since you can freely enter and exist the fights in the trial.
Do grind some Command Mode techs too. It'll be very handy later on. (You can access command mode by putting the MC at the back row.)

Romancing Saga 3 - Help I'm trapped in a saga game with even less direction than usual. I have bought many businesses but have no actual money but riding boats costs money and where the fuck do I go to find quests and things that give money?

Ellen start, did the Pidonia stuff and rescued a kid from the archfiend tower after going the wrong way and getting my shit caved in by demons. Twice. Some horrible pink child forced her way into my team and then left as soon as I got on a boat? I have 600au left to my name and no idea which of these boat destinations(that cost 200 or more to go to!) has Adventure. I have so far determined it is not the desert town(though I did find some cultists in the desert but they don't want to fight(yet?)) and not the tennis town(seriously it's called wimlbledon or something).

At least punching things is fun? Also will Sarah and Tom please start gaining some MP, being able to only cast magic like 6 times before they run out is getting very old.

Go to Lance and do the delivery quest there.
Keep on beating bandits until they tell you where their hide out is and beat the boss there.
Then help professor retrieve her pets and do the mouse quest.
Then head back to see Muse and do her dream quest. MAKE SURE TO FIND SILVER GAUNTLET in the dream. Permanently miss-able, so make sure you find it.
Then head to Vanguard and do the quest there.
Then head to Mozes and deceive both Undine and Vulcano to obtain the shield in the well. This is a hard early game quest, but if you can beat it, then you are ready to do a lot of thing.
I recommend recruiting Herman after this and begin the Mixmum quest.

P5 Mementos Missions - Not sure if anyone reads manga here. But this adaptation of P5 is good stuff. It ties different Mementos Missions together into a coherent story, and has more exploration on character's private life. A really nice read on the back side of the story in P5.

13 Sentinels - I cannot wait for this game, I want it now.
Since I bought the prologue, I was able to play up 20% of the whole game with the trial version. And UGH, I can't wait for the real thing.
The art is great and the story really hooked me up.
The battle system is not great, but serviceable enough.
It is a real time rock and paper like SLG. But the air unit really breaks that balance.

Ughh, why the release date if this and P5R can't be switched?
I was thinking so much about this game that I can't pay attention to P5R.
