Hi gang.

Random conversations with my coworkers led me to do this.

I'm gathering as many people that are willing to give me their top 10 favorite rpgs of all time. I want to see what the masses consider. I know I've sent a lot of you a pm already, but I reached my limit for the hour and super told me to make a thread anyways.

If you want to participate  (I'd love to get over 100 people's list) please send me a pm with your list in order can I can give them points.

I'm asking for pm so everyone's list is individual and so another person's list doesn't affect/alter/adjust you own games.

Any and all games you would consider are fine. I've gotten plenty of obscure games so far.

So please join in, and when I'm satisfied with enough lists, I plan to tally up the totals and make a grand project that I will share with you all.

General Chat / FREE: Final Fantasy XI server

If you didn't know, now you do.

To any and all Final fantasy XI fans out there.

There is a FREE FFXI server up and operational. It has been up for just around a year now.

Here are some of the things that makes it an awesome place:

Level 75 cap still: I never played past the 75 cap, but I heard bad things.

Exp is gained four times as fast: The grind is not as annoying now.

All skills (ALL) easier now: Crafting is fun! You can max out parry!

You run 1.5 Xs faster: No more getting beat up from behind when you are running from aggro.

Drop rates are slightly improved.

You can sell more than 7 items on the AH at the same time, also no stocking fee.

Quest rewards give you more money: Makes quest hunting actually viable now!

General Chat / NBA 2012-2013 Season: The King Has Arrived!

I just noticed we did not have a 2011-2012 NBA thread. Shame...

In case you weren't watching, this happened.



Also, that one guy some people called a quitter just went out and out-performed everyone else on the court for a FULL NBA season, got a MVP, Finals MVP, and is on his way to become an Olympic Gold medalist. I THINK that has only happened once before...from some guy that was in Space Jam...

Oh yeah, and he just so happens to play for my favorite team. Yay me~

Fun Fact: Since the Heat's entrance into the league, only eight teams have won a NBA title: Lakers, Bulls, Spurs, Pistons, Rockets, Heat, Celtics, Mavericks. That makes four West teams and four East teams interestingly enough. 

I would also like to point out that my love for Dwight Howard has taken a serious nose dive. Real talk, if you honestly thought what LeBron James did two years ago was bad, this...this shit right here must be blood-boiling infuriating. It's a shame because I would really love for Howard to stay in O-Town, the town and team could use his superstardom to bring in revenue and possibly other star talent, but he is holding the team captive basically and it's annoying. Why sign up for one more year if that was never your intentions from the get go?

Ah well. Hopefully the Magic can bounce back form this fiasco. I would just like this Dwightmare to end, one way or the other.

But hey, there is other things to talk about in the NBA!

I think my new favorite team in the West has become the Minnesota Timberwolves. With the exception of Brandon Roy, (who was a late addition to the team), they could sport a starting five of all white boys! Rubio, Ridnour, Budinger, Love, Pekovic. White power! 

The nets change cities, colors and half of their team! Will that make them one of the new powerhouses in the East? Who knows! I was not a fan of the JJ trade. I felt that they had a young and talented SG in Marshon Brooks on the roster already, but whatever, that's not my concern!

After failing to get D Will, the Mavericks actually had a very sneaky, successful free agency. Kaman, Mayo, Collison, Brand. Dunno if that is a championship team, but its better then last years mess of a squad.

The Lakers get Nash! I absolutely love this trade. Not because it makes them a contender again, but because I want to see how Kobe lives on a team with a ball dominant PG. It should be fun to watch.

The Thunder did almost nothing in free agency. It's okay because they are young and still very very good. I still think Westbrook is the leader of this team, while Durant is the teams number one scoring option, but that does not equate to a leader role. I think the NBA and most media outlets have him pegged incorrectly. If he wants to up his game, he will tone his scoring down and learn how to play defense, because he plain stinks in that category. 

The Celtics reloaded quite nicely! I hate that! but man oh man is the NBA tip off game of Heat vs Celtics going to be interesting or what! Ray Allen spurns his long-time squad and joins up with the beasts of the east in Miami. The two teams meet up after a long fought Eastern Conference Champions match-up that lasted seven games. Both sides do not like each other and now there is some extra fuel for this fire. HAWT~

I wonder how the Bulls will look now. I know they had the best record in the NBA for two seasons, but I can't imagine that happening for a third year, ESPECIALLY with Rose out for so long, (reports say if he recovers fast he should come back by March.) Still a team that is led by Carlos Boozer is destined to fail, so they better hope that someone steps up in a big fashion if they want to sneak into the playoff this year.

LINSANITY IN HOUSTON! I don't know what this means other then Houston being smart financially. Two years for 5 million for Lin's rights, then his third year kicks up his pay to 15 million! If i were the rockets I keep him for the first two years, see what I get out of him and package him away before he gets that big pay day. can you imagine the money overseas this kid will generate for them? Sick!

I know it's strange, but I am looking forward to what Kyrie Irving does in year two. His rookie year was very impressive, and the kid has tons of talent and confidence. He should have a strong 2nd year. Cavalier fans shouldn't be mad at LeBron, because because of him leaving you have yourself a absolute stud.

The free agency craze has died down a bit, so now is a safe time to take a look at every team and see just how well they will perform all of next season.

We all have things, goals, accomplishments set in life. If you don't then you are doing something wrong.

I am always mentioning my bucket list to people at work, but I never really had a chance (or you know, the whole laziness thing) to write it out. So, the only time I ever get to write is at my weekend job.

Anyways, I'm going to try and list all the crazy ideas I want to have done before I kick the bucket in this thread.

I want to go Skydiving
I want to do the whole bungie cord off a bridge thing.
I want to find my path in life. (You know, find something I like doing for the rest of my life.)
I want to be part of a threesome. ((The good kind!) Although some eifle tower action would be hilarious or a trainwreck.)
I want to get in a mosh pit.
I want to crowd surf.
I want to watch the Dolphins win a Superbowl. (lawl)
I want to attend a Superbowl.

So I have been cleaning out my room for the past couple of days and I came across a paper that I must have made about 5-6 years ago.

I found one of my old RPG Club quizzes that I used to use on the Animenation boards as a method of entrance. (The real reason I made these quizzes was because I hated everyone at AN except for a few select members and it was my way of having a section where only people I liked could post.)

Anyways, this thing looks ancient, so I thought I'd throw it you guys way and see how bad/crappy this quiz really was.

Discussion / The Final Fantasy (A Crossover Idea)

In the wish list topic, Drifloon brought to my attention that Final Fantasy seriously need to invest some time into the idea of a crossover rpg. Dissidia was nice, but there was no real story to dive into and it was a fighting game with rpg ideas.

They really need some sort of world which incorporates all the best qualities/aspects from each FF title and throw them all together in one giant massive rpg adventure.

Think about it, each game has a character or an idea, an item, a story sub plot, a vehicle, a famous landmark or town, evil villians that are memorable enough. Why not just take the best from each game and combine them all.

Like I said in the other thread, make it somewhat like Kingdom hearts, but without all the Disney filler. You don't even need a main character. Just make it like FF6 where you start with a certain point of view character and switch out between a different character until everyone all comes together.

They could add to characters who weren't fleshed out enough in their respected games. We could even learn the true identity of Gogo! Edge and Shadow could run around together. Zidane and Locke could be partners in crime. People could go to the colleseum and bet on their favorite Blitzball teams. Cid could team up with Edgar for even more wacky inventions. And just imagine all the summoners getting together!

The possibilities are endless really. There wouldn't even be any trademarking issues since all the rights and characters are owned by Square anyways.

But we all know it will never come to be. It still would be something that might be interesting to write about if anything. Plus, I have been itching to write about SOMETHING of interest recently, and this very well may be it.

Gauging the interest of you all now. Would this be something of interest for any of you? C'mon, you know you all want to hang out with good ole Scar! Here's yer excuse to do so!

Florida is still the team to beat, Tebow won't be slowed by a silly concussion.

The Hurricanes plays Oklahoma tonight in Miami, I say they take them down!

USF (my home team and curent college *woot woot?* >_> ) is beating Cuse at their own house On their homecoming! (and yet they aren't ranked......YET!)

FSU plays Boston College and by the loks of it, they will lose to all the major Florida schools this year. Bobby needs to take a hike already!
