Well, this has been ready for release for a while now and I've agonized over making a beautiful, perfect introduction post for it for days so instead just enjoy the game for now and the proper pleasantries later !!

Patch 1.00 - 8/26/2016

Download the TF7 patches for all three discs here. This is for the PSX version of the game. You'll need a fresh ISO, the patch can be applied with PPF-O-Matic.

PCs, skillsets, equipment are much more distinct. Click for a large overview of the changes!

Enemies fight back but won't force you to grind to level 99 in Reactor 1.

Thanks to Laggy for being the co-author, Qhimm forums for the tools, and any testers and all you cool people.

General Chat / The RPGDL Audiosurf Challenge
« on: January 17, 2010, 02:03:47 PM »
With the recent influx of people who picked up the game because of the Steam sale this idea has been kicked around in chat, and I know at least a few people are interested. So I decided to put together a VGM songpack for Audiosurf ranging from moderately challenging to murderous in a variety of styles, with the tags altered to have fresh scoreboards.

- Choice of character does not matter. There are some unbalances in the higher level of character play, but I doubt anyone in the DL is a hardc0ar player.
- For each song, top score gets 3 points, second place gets 2 points, and third place gets one point.
- Contest ends and is scored at the end of month.

The pack, in two parts.

Writeup Graveyard / Wiegraf "Space Sheep" Folles (vs. Grand Master)
« on: November 20, 2009, 11:31:34 PM »
On this week's Arena, Wiegraf Folles fights a man very similar to him, a meager commoner trained in the martial arts promoted to a respected position through his efforts who then made a soul-pact with a dem - okay, maybe not that similar. Regardless, the two fight with the same, simple but effective style - hit the other person in the face hard until they fall. However, Wiegraf has two tactical edges in this fight over the Master. First, his shield allows him to take some of the hurt out of Master's barrages by blocking some of the numerous hits. Second, and most important, he can counter Master's attacks, forcing Master to take damage even while dishing it out himself. With that in mind, the result of the slugfest is decided before it even begins - the White Knight will still be standing tall when the fight is over.

Writeup Graveyard / Sir Vincent Valentine the 13th, Esq. (vs Oswin)
« on: November 20, 2009, 11:07:37 PM »
A knight in shining armor, this time? Mr. Valentine does not much care for such flaunting of one's self-proclaimed sense of justice. Well, that'll just make sure he has no qualms about fighting at full force, which is exactly what will be needed here. While Vincent's gunshots might just as well tink off the Ostian's armor for all the good they do, after taking a hit he'll be able to channel his bestial side to fully heal his wounds and become sturdy enough to match Oswin on top of that. What's more, it gives him access to an advantage the knight doesn't have - magic. Beast Flare will rip through the general's defenses and leave him and his armor burning in a nice scrap heap, ideal for striking a badass victory pose in front of.

Writeup Graveyard / Milon (vs Gijimu)
« on: May 02, 2009, 02:27:13 AM »
BEHOLD THE SUBLIME MIGHT OF THE DEVILISH FIEND OF EARTH AND COWER IN DESPAIR, FOOLISH MORTALS! Finally! Milon has defeated someone in the arena and earned the respect he deserves! And now it's too late for anyone to stop him, whether it be a fishman or a human. Sure, hitting your opponents with two axes to the face per round really hard may be one way to get ahead in life, but it's hard - nay, IMPOSSIBLE! to argue with the infinite might and wisdom of the Fiend of Earth! Because he's not listening to anything but the sweet siren call of the Godlike division, in which he will soon enough take his rightful place!

Writeup Graveyard / Bowman (vs Seifer)
« on: May 02, 2009, 02:16:48 AM »
Having defeated an elegant and athletic noble demon with his vast stock of completely legal substances, the good pharmacist takes on a punk kid as the next roadblock in the way of a Middle championship. Well then. Seifer may be a troubled young man with severe anger issues most likely stemming from bad sleeping habits and a trashy diet, but his skills with a gunblade are not to be underestimated. However, his best damage comes from his limit break, so Bowman will have no trouble pulling off an immensely powerful Sakura Attack before the fight gets serious. From there, it's a simple slugfest that should take less effort for the paragon of health to win than figuring out the correct medication for his opponent after the match.

Writeup Graveyard / Peco (vs Mukumuku)
« on: January 30, 2009, 10:09:58 PM »
Some fights just are more significant than others. Dream matches. Bloody battles for the Godlike championship. Epic encounters with the fate of the whole universe at stake. Or something that goes beyond the impossible and reaches even higher levels of greatness, like an onion facing a squirrel in a duel to the death. In spite of what your prejudices towards the fighting skills of vegetables may be, Peco possesses much greater versatility in his abilities than his opponent, backing up his mighty punches with counterattacks, healing, regeneration, status effects and elemental breath attacks. Even a fraction of these will be enough to teach Mukumuku that onions are quite simply superior. The Light division had better watch out, 'cause this onion's out to make them cry.

Writeup Graveyard / Krin (vs Hanako)
« on: January 23, 2009, 08:44:29 PM »
Chizoku, the Thieving Star. Krin's place in destiny sums up his specialty, but that doesn't mean his abilities on the battlefield should be underestimated. While his opponent is not likely to be interested in tea, eliminating Krin's greatest strategic advantage, the fact remains that due to the training his profession requires he can run circles around most people on the Duelling League roster in any division and strike with superior speed. That will also be his plan this time, and the child demon shouldn't be able to endure many of Krin's deadly thrown golden needles before collapsing. And even if something will go not as planned, at least the Pretty Bazooka can't rearrange Krin's face into an any uglier shape, right? The mark of a good opportunist is winning even if they lose, after all.
