Andrew Huang - Maybe not technically Christmas music but hits a lot of the same notes to me. The theory vid and glitch stuff are cool, and the song's a fun romp. Not sure it stands out that much without the explanations though.
Sia - Similar to above, a fun Christmas music-ish romp, doesn't stand out as particularly good/bad.
Tax the Heat - Huuh. Kinda retro sound, like, 80s? That's what the Youtube comments say, anyhow. Strong song, well executed. Leaves me wanting a little more but not dissatisfied with what's here. Top contender.
Orphaned Land - Wins. Great song, great production, incredible blend of elements in both the music and the video. Immediately opened up the band's wikipedia page and started listening to all the rest of their stuff.
Nemesea - More very good metal. Also top contender (or would be). Really nice vocals.
Caleb Hyles and Johnathan Young - Fantastic cover, production seems a new step up from their usual and their usual was already very good. The only thing holding this back is that I've never much cared for the original song. Even so, this is a compelling argument to change my mind.
Lindsey Stirling - This is, eh, fine, but not in the ballpark of last week's Lindsey Stirling. Clearly going for a different theme... but then we get to the video, and it heavily features/promotes The Salvation Army. Which... while they certainly do a lot of good work, as the video demonstrates, they also do a lot of not-good work (extremely anti-LGBT, among other things, Google them) and I'm not terribly inclined to get behind promoting them. Not in this day and age, and certainly not when we have stuff like Orphaned Land right here.
Super strong week. Top four are all things I would not just like, but actively want to win and am sad we won't get all of them featured.
