Trainee Ramza vs. Magical Kongol (LoD) - Ramza can answer the status weapons which... pretty much seals what hope Kongol has of taking this, I'd think?  Bandit Shoes just means Kongol has Albert-speed, the physicals have to contend with shield+weapon guard giving Ramza about 49% evade and Kongol magic should still scare close to nothing here so Scream/X-Potion should still handle buisness

P-BOFF (Pigeott - Bred Only For Fighting) vs. Sorceress Rinoa- Pidgeot is not a chipper and doesn't 2HKO either. That said, I don't know. Might depend on how intelligent her spellcasting is? (I mean, Pidgeot has elemental weaknesses, so Rinoa could hammer it pretty badly potentially)
Seraphic Rena (SO2) vs. Distorted Labrynthia
White Mage Khimari vs. Laggy's Gen 3 Jumpluff- The good for Jumpluff: ITE to get around evade and counter. Also, the speed (although my respect isn't great). The bad: Kimahri has Sleep Ward and Jumpluff needs Sleep to have a prayer here.
Statmaster Silence vs. Burlesque Dancer (FFT)- Would Hamedo get most of the monster add-on skills? If yes, neither are great at killing each other. If no, seems like Silence would take it pretty easily.
White Mage Aerith vs. Final Fina- Fina has two nasty statuses here, since 85% Stone+Damage on turn 1 is pretty threatening. This is a good match. I guess Aeris has to choose to block ID since Fina can access the ID by sitting there are healing, but Aeris can't get a limit to Silence Fina unless attacked. How last does FF 7 slow last? I'm assuming that it halves speed...but FF 7 couldnt' pause time, meaning that FF 7 Slow isn't that great? I think Aeris needs it to be. Otherwise, Fina is just going to heal until she's built up a large SP store and then she'll Stone Aeris, hit her again and then hit her with THE ACTUALLY USEFUL FOR ONCE SOMEHOW damage attached to Eternum. That's about 2000 damage, which is above the SoA kill point by above 5%, which I think Aeris would be killed by
Crested Lemina vs. MegaMari... belle- What do Lemina's bonuses equate to?

Dhyer: FF7 characters actually block ID & Petrify at the same time with the Safety Bit, so that isn't an issue!  The fact that Safety Bit is storebought on Disc 2 is, however, an issue. 

Wind God Jet vs. Klutz Master Laguna
Um.  Accelerate is arguably really good at screwing with Limits!  Comes down to how fast Laguna can hit Jet through the evade, and then how deadly FF8 Confuse is once applied...  if Jet just shoots himself once, that's actually not that bad, as it only gives Laguna time to cast Regen on himself or something.  Leaning Jet.  EDIT: Or Laguna can just hard-cast Confuse if that's legal.
Trainee Ramza vs. Magical Kongol (LoD)
Drugs.

Rinoa should limit sometime on Turn 2, so if Pigeott doesn't 2HKO that's kinda RIP unless you force Rinoa to have spells she doesn't want on her.

See above.  Safety Bit is legal for haXX0red Aeris who sticks around for Disc 2, but unfortunately the haX averages include "L99 Cloud with Omnislash every turn" so Aeris is still in a rough spot.
Crested Lemina vs. MegaMari... belle
Well Lemina doesn't actually double since she wants to use MT Catastrophe to evade the counter.  Anyway Lemina baaaaaaarely 3HKOs Mari by Elf's numbers, but Mari should surely 2HKO, so Lemina needs an instant 3:2.  Valkyrie's high MOV and general low TB speed caps makes me disinclined to consider that, although I guess it's possible that Healing Ring regen might screw up Mari's 2HKO?  I don't recall Lunar 2 regen as being THAT potent but I could be corrected.  Alternatively there might be a staff that could help Lemina out here, especially one that cranked up magic resistance?  EDIT: Renewal lol

Hmm, yeah, that certainly doesn't help. I don't allow PCs to have status accessories that block multiples (they have to pick 1 status to block for me), but disk 2 renders it irrelevant either way.

Wind God Jet vs. Klutz Master Laguna This one somewhat hinges on whether one allows Laguna to cast his junctioned spells.  He can do bad things with Bio and Confuse. EDIT: I do so casting Confuse to make Jet waste turns and Bio to poison and smack him in his poor magic defense is a go.

Rinoa: will kill with Angelo.  Wishing Star is quite common with Aura and 20% HP.

Lunar 2 regen is 10% of max HP.  Healing Ring does stack with Divine/Saint Litany for 20% though not relevant here.

Laguna does have the Magic command, but he only has three spells.  Confuse, Regen, and whatever he's using as his status defense.

Hmm, yeah, hard-cast Confuse would do the trick, if that's legal.

For Lemina, according to the stat topic, she has .80 PCHP, so w/ a round of regen, that's .88 PCHP to chew through.  She reduces all magic damage to her by 16 L2 HP from Gilder's comments in the thread (she's 32 above average magic resist), and Celica's Gale will be hitting her 4 times, so that's a 64 HP reduction, or .17 PCHP.  .88 + .17 =  1.05 PCHP, factoring in the magic defense & regen round.  That's actually pretty close...  Mari deals 46 damage to avg. Res, so she *barely* barely KOs with the accuracy-baked-in-average if all 4 shots hit, and barely doesn't KO with the no-accuracy.  I generally use the no-accuracy average as a vague compensation for skills existing and reasonably reliably triggering for me (e.g. Aether, Luna), so...  oh wait haha Maribelle's Renewal GG.  (Lemina would BARLEY win vs. no-Renewal Maribelle.  Moot now!)

One question: does Laguna have access to GF summoning in this setup? I feel this would be the clincher to shut the match down in his favor (and keep it from being the saddest fail-off in the history of everything ever besides Mint vs. War Cleric Maribelle).

I honestly don't know. I'm assuming an earlygame GF off non-junction'd averages wouldn't look -that- good (especially running off sans stuff like Boost), but I don't know the formula running off the game.

So far as I can tell, the GF is mentioned specifically to justify the junction setup.  Magic is mentioned explicitly in the setup, the GF command is not.  So I'd rule against him being able to summon a GF.

Trainee Ramza vs. Magical Kongol (LoD): The Ramza build is pretty good, has answers to a lot of things.
P-BOFF (Pigeott - Bred Only For Fighting) vs. Sorceress Rinoa: The Pidgeot build is fast, so it could complete a 3HKO before a limit comes out... but probably not, since Pidgeot needs to be doing damage. Also Rinoa may just 2HKO it with physicals unless Feather Dance is used.
Seraphic Rena (SO2) vs. Distorted Labrynthia: Distortion makes a mess of things, and Labby can nuke her MP to speed things along.
White Mage Khimari vs. Laggy's Gen 3 Jumpluff: Gut feeling. Leech Seed + Sub + Leftovers means Jumpluff loses only 1/16 of its MHP per turn, that's a lot of time to get some luck landing sleep. Holy's lag also hurts Kimahri here.
Statmaster Silence vs. Burlesque Dancer (FFT): Dancer needs something good out of a dance to tilt this, since Hamedo doesn't work on monster skills. Frog would do it, but that's a/16 per round (granted, Stop also buys her some time, as does Slow). But the odds aren't really good enough.
Crested Lemina vs. MegaMari... belle: Focused spells don't get counter-ignoring hype from me, so she should take this pretty easily. This Maribelle builds hammers ST mages real bad.
